About Living In Loveliness
How exciting! It has been six years since I launched my ‘Living In Loveliness’ sewing workshops and I absolutely love what I do. After quitting a very stressful sales job when they applied too much pressure just days after giving birth to our youngest son Chase, my husband suggested getting out my sewing machine. It was then that sewing started as a hobby for me. I am mainly self-taught (although I did a little cushion sewing in secondary school) and I’ve made every mistake more than once! Along my sewing journey I’ve stumbled across lots of super easy hacks and I get so much pleasure sharing my hints and tips in classes. My heart lies with bringing people together and sharing my passion for crafting and sewing. I absolutely adore having my own business ‘Living In Loveliness’ which brings me so much pleasure as I love to see people relax and enjoy sewing. The best feeling is seeing the look of joy on people’s faces with every stitch sewn and project completed – even the stitch-unpicking is part of the journey. During the past six years I’ve been nominated and received several awards including Best Craft Centre 2017 and 2018 and The Queens Award for Voluntary Service. Both my eldest children have also received this award because I strongly believe in teaching
