By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Define the uses of fine bore nasogastric tubes (NGT)
2. Outline the anatomy and physiology of GI Tract
3. Explain the benefits and risks of NGT feeding
4. Summarise legal and professional issues, including consent, competency, record keeping
5. Discuss national standards and guidelines including NPSA Alerts
6. Outline infection prevention and control strategies
7. Describe the confirmation testing
8. Explain the principles of flushing, enteral feeding and medication administration

Course Objectives:
