Description
Introduction to data with python is a 30 hour course, delivered online using SpatialChat (a collaborative online, social space). We use Agile scrum methodology with Trello to manage our learning.
The course will usually take place over a number of weeks (e.g. 1 day a week for 5 weeks).
You will learn how to
read data sets from spreadsheets, databases and a range of other data sources
‘clean’ the data so that reports and statistics are more accurate
manipulate the data so that you can present it in different ways
run statistical models and to use the result to predict trends
visualise data using a range of charts and graphs.
On completion of this course you could work on real world project analysing and visualising data for a charity.
