What they say

“ I must commend you on this course Vincent! I watched the opposite shoulder roll and ... had to watch the video without sound... but just watching the video and practicing a few times, it makes "perfect" sense now and I love it!”

HandbalancerHelgi

“It's very rare that you find a teacher who can teach you 100 different lessons from just a single technique. Vincent is one of those diamonds who strives to deepen his students' understanding and proficiency in movement beyond the typical mimic and mirror philosophies of many modern dance and movement coaches.”

ActorDarragh

“With attention to detail & an ability to break down movements, Vincent manages to ’simplify complexity’. This is not only tremendously useful for learning the complex patterns of floorwork, but it has also helped me understand ’how I learn things’, which I can apply in anything I chose to emerge myself in. Watching a floorwork sequence or handbalancer can be daunting; but Vincent will quickly break things apart in a way that makes you realise it is very achievable. Just fucking do it!’”

Strength coachDavid Erickson

“I can’t recommend studying with Vincent enough! This was the highlight of my year to find his academy. As a professional dancer in authentic jazz dance styles, that means I dance all the time on my feet. I did study a little bit of Floorwork before but it was always a style of “jump into the middle of the ocean and figure it out” covered in bruises. I was searching for someone who can guide me with precision and detail from the foundations of Floor work technique then smoothly ramp up towards more advanced technique that I can use in my dance. The detail, precision in his work and tutoring, the bottomless depth of knowledge, the open mind to see what I am bringing to my exploration and actually involve that onboard of my training this way help me develop my own movements as well impresses me so much!”

FAQ
  • Is it open to complete beginners with no experience in dance or acrobatics?Absolutely. It definitely is for people who don’t have any background in dance or circus! My aim as a teacher is precisely to make all these floorwork movements (and maybe even more importantly, the concepts that gluesthe movements together) accessible to everyone.

  • What do I need to follow these courses? You will need access to some decent floor space. It can be your living room or one of the studios that are available in mainstream gyms, or even your garden if you live in a sunny country. A slidy wooden floor is really a plus. You will also need a body – and seek clearance with your GP if required.

  • How long are the training sessions? You can totally adapt the content of the program to your own needs – time constraints. 30 to 45 minutes is a good start to get the gist of every move, watch the tutorials and then practice, but if you can easily stretch your training sessions to 1.30 hour and more.

  • What is the difference between this and your Youtube Channel? My Youtube Channel gathers around 5 per cent of the whole movement terminology I have put together. Almost every tutorial you will get here is private and has been shot specifically for this course! Not to mention the feedback you get from me and the community as you progress along and the programming 🙂 My personal online coaching is a more thorough process. We Skype and talk about your needs, your goals and your timetable. I program 2 to 3 different sessions per week, and send you bespoke feedback videos, adjusting the program from one week to the other from the videos you sent me. It is more personal, more comprehensive, but also more expensive. This Facebook course is a happy compromise between learning on your own and my individual coaching
