This course is for deaf and hearing people who want to understand and create a better working environment that is more inclusive of the needs of both deaf and hearing co-workers. This applies to both formal and informal working situations. It is aimed at people at every level in organisations, to ensure that there is sustainability of the concept throughout.
Part 1 "Working in Inclusive Teams" aims to encourage people to start thinking about how they can change from working as a group of individuals and come together as an organised group of deaf and hearing people to achieve tasks and goals.
This course is unique as it is about coming together in an organised way, and overcoming communication barriers for the good of all.
Our combined experience of over 100 years or working in deaf and hearing environments confirms that Part 1 training is ESSENTIAL for everyone throughout your organisation no matter what their role and level of responsibility.
The course is an immersive learning experience, and we know that from delivering in this way, our students come to fully appreciate others and critically evaluate how they can make improvements to themselves, others and the environment that they work in.
