This rigorous 15 days structured program is a unique opportunity for new and developing professional artists and art students to engage in the dynamic artistic discipline of drawing performance art.&nbsp; Performative Drawing&nbsp;is a stream of performance art in which artists create their artwork in front of a live audience while communicating with the viewers. Drawing Performance is often multi-disciplinary, combining dance, video, photography and sound. Performative Drawing is a stream of performance art in which artists create their artwork in front of a live audience while communicating with the viewers. Drawing Performance is often multi-disciplinary, combining dance, video, photography and sound. It utilises multi-media too, allowing artists a full rein of expression for their ideas. 
The residency will be located in the heart of Brighton, one of the most vibrant and colourful cities in Europe and a centre of creativity, vibrancy and progressive art. The program will also include guided tours to key exhibitions and art events in Brighton and London and will end with a day of live drawing performances to celebrate and showcase the output of this creative time.

Using a wide range of methods of artistic expression (i.e.&nbsp;mark making, dance, light &amp; sound) the artists creates a dialogue with the viewer while exploring how drawing can be used as a way to communicate and to collaborate.DTP is a unique program that offers professional artists and art students an opportunity for personally tailored mentorship in the art of drawing performance. The program is guided and mentored by Ram Samocha, a nationally and internationally acclaimed drawing performance artist and the founder of Draw to perform.The program is a weeklong residency, designed for a single artist. It includes daily sessions, creative exercises, artistic brainstorming and personalized coaching with Ram Samocha. It will start with investigation of the artist&rsquo;s current body of work and identification of motifs and elements, which can be translated and expanded into live action.&nbsp;By exploring different methods of performance (on camera and video, to a live or online audience or as a personal undocumented process of exploration) the artist will work on a new creation demonstrating their own artistic DNA, which is transformed into action.&nbsp;The artist will be given an opportunity to showcase their work in live streaming within the different platforms of DTP.
