Specializing in Corrective Exercise with NASM can stretch your earning potential along with your clients’ abilities to reduce the risk of injury—helping them move, feel and live better. By becoming a Corrective Exercise Specialist, you’ll take your fitness career and ability to help your clients to new levels. You’ll learn how to assess clients in a whole new way. It will help you better identify their movement compensations, where they are weak or strong, and hone your ability to use that knowledge to design effective and efficient programs. You’ll take your ability to assess clients from generalized to specific, breaking assessments down into smaller, more in-depth pieces so you can identify different parts of the body in need of attention.

NASM has developed the Corrective Exercise Strategies for Basketball course in partnership with the National Basketball Athletic Trainers Association (NBATA). NASM serves as the official provider of sports medicine education for the NBATA, where the majority of NBA athletic trainers hold the NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and/or Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) advanced specialization. The course material offers a systematic assessment and advanced corrective exercise strategy to correct common lower extremity dysfunctions seen in basketball.

The Neuromuscular Stretching online course will provide you with the knowledge and rationale for the use of neuromuscular stretching as a muscle lengthening technique within a corrective exercise program. The instructional video presented by Dr. Mike Clark will detail how to perform multiple neuromuscular stretches on your clients. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: Describe the scientific rationale supporting the use of lengthening techniques in a comprehensive corrective exercise program. Properly apply neuromuscular stretching to improve range of motion and lengthen overactive, tight structures as part of a comprehensive corrective exercise program.

The Goniometric Assessment course will provide you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to effectively understand the of joint range of motion and muscle length, correlating them to movement dysfunctions, helping you develop a methodical and effective corrective exercise strategy.

The Positional Isometrics online course will provide you with the knowledge and rationale for the use of the activation technique of positional isometrics within a corrective exercise program. The instructional video presented by Dr. Mike Clark will detail how to perform positional isometrics.

Our Level 4 Sports Massage courses will give you everything you need to take your Sports Massage qualification to the next level. The Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy builds on your existing knowledge and skills gained from the level 3 Sports Massage course. This qualification will provide learners with a deeper knowledge and further skills to be able treat clients and correct common patterns of dysfunction. Many learners say I wish I had done my level 4 sooner!  Whilst level 3 Sports Massage course gives you the knowledge and skills to start work as a sports massage therapist Level 4 starts to teach you how to really treat your patients / clients. Delving into a greater level of A&P knowledge, teaching you advanced soft tissue techniques and exploring the common injuries patients / clients will present with.  Level 4 Sports Massage Courses The Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy builds on your existing knowledge and skills gained from the level 3 Sports Massage course.
