Passionate about all things floral and handcrafted  Since I can remember, I have always loved flowers. My earliest memories are of helping my  Grandmother in her potting shed with her African Violets. The most treasured are walking amongst her beautiful Rose Garden with it's heady scents and gorgeous blooms.  Those memories combine together with the privilege of being a daughter of a Artisan Jeweler.  I would often sit with my  Father in his  workshop and loved watching the process,  from start to finish.  From  drawing the design to  moulding the piece from the bare elements to creating  something truly beautiful with his hands.  From this,  I have developed the utmost respect for handmade articles and as such it is my  joy to create, teach and inspire Floristry, arts and crafts related pieces in a  relaxed and informal way  Everyone is welcome no matter the skill level from novice to advanced.   With a little direction and encouragement  each student is often very pleased and most certainly proud of their achievement🤩

MAKE YOUR MARK UK was founded in 2017. Since then, we’ve run training courses for Sheffield City Region, delivered staff development sessions for CAST Theatre and helped Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce with their policy work…to name just a few! We welcome new challenges and love connecting with people who want to make a difference.

We are stronger when we work together. Snowdrop offers tailored training sessions to organisations, NGOs and local authorities run by professionals in the anti-trafficking sectors. The more people who know about how to spot the signs of slavery and support survivors, the more people can be free and empowered to live new lives.

A platform teaching new skills, working with a fantastic bunch of Sheffield based creatives developing creative skills and learning how to make products on a laser cutter. This has helped to unlock the creative potential of this group of unemployed people through an experiential learning platform and produce something positive to add to the controversial #BenefitsBritian conversation. Learn, Create, Sell has been developed by AALFY, a sheffield based learning provider and Hantu Collective; a platform for positivity and creativity.

The city's official destination marketing organisation, responsible for Sheffield's place brand management and promotion. We are part of Sheffield City Council in the 'City Futures' department, and are therefore funded by public sector budgets. Our aim is to achieve growth for the city - in the widest sense of the word. Whilst economic growth is the most tangible measure of this, place branding is also about the intangibles, and so we work with community organisations, cultural providers, educational institutions and many other private and public stakeholders on collaborative projects that seek to promote the city as an inclusive, progressive and unique place for people to live and work in, as well as visit.

training courses

The NPLQ covers all elements of Pool Rescue Techniques, Lifeguarding Theory, First Aid and CPR. The course is physically demanding and will include swimming to set times, lifting casualties and diving to the deepest part of the swimming pool. Training and assessment for the NPLQ is in three sections and all must be successfully passed to attain the qualification.

Launched in 2021 by Sheffield writer Beverley Ward, The Writers Workshop is a creative hub for emerging, developing and established wordsmiths. Members living in the Sheffield area can enjoy writing, learning and networking in our stylish space, located in Sheffield’s Orchard Square. But members who live further afield are just as much a part of our community, so we offer plenty of online opportunities.

Craft + Flea is a new spin on the makers market, bringing together talented, independent makers, designers, producers and collectors, each handpicked for their quality, on-trend products. We don't define ourselves as a craft market or a flea market but a great mixture of local talent and finds. Enjoy the best of the city's local produce and makers alongside street food and flea market stalls in this brand new pop-up market. No two events are the same but most events feature Makers - Local Produce - Sustainable products - Vintage collectables & home - Artisan - Designer - Food & Drink

oriental martial arts society

Looking for more than just a fitness class or a self defence class? Training with the Oriental Martial Arts Society will not only get you fit through training but, you will learn to develop internally as well as externally. I teach techniques from Bagua, Hsing I and Wudang. Each of these styles have important parts to play in developing body and mind making you a stronger person - good tools to draw on in any situation life may throw at you both physically and mentally. Although based in traditional roots, these have been adapted for a modern approach. Adult classes are open to men and women from 18 years. Classes are being held at Newtongrange Leisure Centre on Saturdays 11am to 12.30pm and on Wednesdays at St Leonards Church Hall, Bonnyrigg 6.45pm to 8.15pm. Class fee is £10 per session. Join and see what potential you could personally achieve. You don't have to be fit to join - this comes naturally through training rather than a rigid exercise regime. If you want to be able to look after yourself, this is for you.
