Learn about the unique qualities of silver clay and make your own solid silver jewellery. You'll be guided by a friendly and experienced teacher to help you make three jewellery pieces for you to treasure and take away! Firstly, you will make a leaf pendant or earrings. Then you'll mould a small object of your choosing to turn into a charm. Lastly, you will form a pendant or charm and learn how to add texture and a gemstone. Once all your projects are ready, you will be shown how to fire and polish your pieces to be solid silver with a beautiful shine.

– LEATHER GOODS MAKING CLASS – LEATHER CRAFT WORKSHOP: MAKE YOUR OWN HAND SEWN LEATHER ITEM This is a theoretical and practical taster group tuition during which you will receive an overview on basic leather craft skills and techniques and realise your own leather item to take home with you. The class will take place in our London workshop where you will be able to see how a leather craft studio is equipped and receive practical demonstrations of common working methods used in the field.You will be able to choose your project between a selection of different types of goods such as passport holders, glasses cases, purses, card holders and more.You will be shown different types of leather and get to understand their main features. We use both kit style laser engravers and professional CO2 laser cutters throughout our workshop, so you can try lots of materials and techniques in both 2D and 3D. Our one-to-one sessions are designed to help you get started on your own projects, even if you don’t know anything about lasering. We’ll teach you the software, cover what materials work best for different techniques, and give you ideas for things to try out at home or in your studio.

Fused Glass Workshop – Glitzy Glass Jewellery I want to share my 15+ years of experience with you. This fused glass workshop is held at my Derbyshire studio and gallery space in the middle of Wirksworth, near Matlock. About this fused glass workshop Everyone loves sparkle and this workshop is perfect for making wearable art for yourself or to give as give away as gifts. After a brief introduction to how to work safely with glass, I will teach you the technique of cutting and layering sheet glass to produce your own unique creations. The process of cutting is a skill that takes time to develop but wonderful designs can be built from basic shapes. No experience necessary, just an understanding that you might not be “perfect” straight away. I’m told I make it look easy, but I’ve been doing it, almost daily, for 15 years! Produce a range of unique jewellery using specialist glass called Dichroic Glass, a rainbow of colours and a myriad of decorative inclusions, you will design and make jewellery pieces including pendants, earrings, cufflinks and brooches. Your creations will need to be fired, cleaned and finished by Stevie so will be ready in around three weeks. The materials cost will enable you to make at least 3 (maybe 4) pieces in the time, maybe more depending on your chosen designs and how quickly you work.
