Feelgood Forest Bathing

feelgood forest bathing

We offer online courses in Connecting with Nature for Wellbeing. To be kept informed of future course dates, please register interest here [https://feelgood-forest-bathing.com/register-interest]. Forest Bathing is a modern approach to the ancient Japanese art of Shinrin Yoku - connecting with nature through our senses. We approach nature, we slow down, and we pay close attention to what we are noticing. Research shows it has remarkable benefits for both our mind and body.  It’s rapidly becoming popular worldwide as a powerful way to reduce stress, improve our wellbeing, and to rediscover our relationship with the natural world. Best of all, it’s lots of fun! Our interactive courses offer students weekly activities to practice in their neighbourhood. They can share the journey with their classmates in our online community, and are fully supported by the course creator. By the end of the course they will be independent Forest Bathers, with all the skills they need to continue connecting with nature, and developing their own unique relationship with the natural world, no matter where they live. The course is accredited for CPD (Continuing Professional Development). Students can earn professional Learning Credits, whilst learning the core skills of nature connection to adapt and apply in their own field of work, including education, social and community work, health care and mental health support. Originally from Russia, I lived in the UK since the late 1990s, making London my home and a place of infinite inspiration. I studied film history, gaining a PhD in the field of Soviet Holocaust cinema, while working with various film festivals and running my own cultural events production company. In 2014 after leaving my career in the arts sector, I launched KinoVino which rapidly gained recognition as one of the most original projects redefining London’s food scene. Since its launch I developed a bespoke event branch, hosted supper clubs under my own name exploring food from my native Russia and released my debut cookbook Salt and Time in 2019. My recipes are featured in The Guardian, Red Magazine, Olive Magazine, The Independent and House & Garden amongst other leading UK publications. While my events have been highlighted in Vogue, Elle, TimeOut, and I’ve been shortlisted for the Young British Foodie Awards in 2017. I’ve also had the honour of being listed at number one of the new voices in food by the Observer Food Magazine in February 2019, and having my cooking names a new trend for 2021 by Waitrose Magazine. Since 24 Feb 2022, I have started #CookforUkraine campaign using the language of food to raise awareness and funds for the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine right now. I have teamed up with my dear friend, Ukrainian chef, writer and activist, Olia Hercules, and the formidable team behind #CookforSyria to create a global movement to celebrate the food of Ukraine while providing the much needed humanitarian help vid UNICEF Emergency Relief Fund. Elaine Whittaker - yogabeing

elaine whittaker - yogabeing

My name is Elaine and I love yoga! I've been enjoying yoga myself for about 45 years and teaching for 15 years. My Bicester yoga classes are gentle and mindful. No rushing from posture to posture. We take time to be. My aim when teaching is for you to be comfortable, relaxed and happy. For you to feel calm and confident, free from physical tension and mental stress. Most of the ladies in my classes are in their 50's, 60's and 70's and appreciate the more gentle approach I take in teaching. Classes start with a short period of breath awareness, followed by some gentle warm up movements. Then we enjoy some postures (asanas) often in the form of sequences so you can lose yourself in the soft flow of the movements. We finish with some breathwork (pranayama) and a lovely relaxation leaving you feeling calm and peaceful. I like to drip in little glimpses of the philosophy behind yoga and will sometimes share a short reading or poem to enhance the mood of the class. In addition, I integrate aspects of mindfulness into my teaching. Whilst none of us can remove the stresses from our lives, we can develop coping mechanisms to avoid tension building physically, mentally and emotionally. Yoga can help you release tight muscles and improve your sense of balance physically and mentally. You learn to unravel the knots of physical, mental and emotional tension and gain a greater sense of wellbeing. Let your yoga class be an oasis of calm in a busy life... like pressing a pause button .. time to unwind and refresh. Beginners are always welcome - my gentle style of teaching means all can enjoy classes. Come and find your inner goddess .. that calm, tranquil woman who can sometimes become hidden in a busy life. Fluentintuition Ltd

fluentintuition ltd

Surrey

Fluentintuition Ltd has been helping people explore and develop their intuition for languages since 2007. Founded on 20 years’ experience in language teaching and course provision, setting up fluentintuition was fuelled by a desire to make language learning a better experience for all those wanting to learn a language and embrace foreign cultures. No large classes and no merged levels: Because we know personalised learning is essential to adult learners progressing quickly and being motivated, we promise small groups, more talk time to practise and individual attention. We don’t compromise on quality: you won’t find yourself in a large class, our optimum size is 6-8 learners; and unless we are running a multi-level workshop, we don’t combine levels so you’ll always be working at the right level for you. Courses mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference: All our language courses are mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference so you can be confident that what you're learning is of a standardised level and that you're progressing in the right direction for the goals you wish to achieve. Find out more about the Common European Framework of Reference here> Qualified tutors: Our team is made-up of linguists and trainers specialised in teaching foreign languages to adult learners. We select friendly professionals who are passionate about what they do so you can learn best. Passion and the good life: We know the best way to learn is to love what you're doing, so at the heart of what we do is the inspiration we've taken from 'passion and the good life' to create an exciting and innovative range of courses. So you'll not only learn the language but you'll find out about song, music, film, literature, theatre, gastronomy, sports and a whole lot more.
