We aim to diversify the Creative Sector. We achieve this by identifying, supporting and promoting non-traditional artists and filmmakers who might not otherwise consider a career in the sector. FILM: Through work with such organisations as Aik Saath and SWIPE, our Slough based YES programme provides free workshops in filmmaking open to all 11-25 year olds. ART: With the support of our Arts Council England partners HOME, we run quarterly free Meetups for all aspiring or professional artists aged 18+ alongside our new Arts Forum for leaders across Berkshire. Our clients ranging from BAFTA, BFI, Creative England, BBC, and Channel 4 contract us to devise and deliver regional and national outreach for their own training, recruitment and commissioning programmes. 2.TALENT DEVELOPMENT & PROMOTION Our goal is to develop the skills of a diverse talent pool and prepare each individual to progress on to successful paid employment in the creative industry. Through The Creative Collective, our talent development programme comprising a range of accredited and informal bespoke training workshops, as well as our one-to-one personalised Individual Progress Plan support, we ensure progress through networking, mentoring, accredited training as well as exclusive work placements, apprenticeships and connecting with funders. We have project funding from Arts Council England and work closely with NPO theatre company RIFCO. In film, our core partner (since 1999) is Pinewood Studios but we also regularly work with BFI, Screen Skills and Creative England . 3. CREATIVE & COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION From developing individual talent to supporting larger projects ranging from producing a first piece of art, to shooting your first drama, our focus is on producing projects that tell stories from new perspectives not currently seen in the mainstream media or art world. We co-develop, script, shoot and edit high-quality, emotive and engaging, cost-effective documentary, drama, animation and motion graphics and have a talent for connecting charitable and commercial clients. Through our ground breaking partnerships with companies like the BBC, Channel 4 and Disney, we continue to explore and build on new immersive content. We have developed new projects and ways of working through collaborations with global companies like SEGRO and innovative funders like The Rothschild Foundation.

Heeley Residents Association wanted to see the land used to make Heeley a better place to live. During 1980 the Association developed the idea of a city farm, and gradually won support for it. Work began on site in July 1981 and the Farm was founded. Over the following years Heeley City Farm had to fight one major battle after another for money and security but the enthusiasm of workers and residents won through. The Farm grew organically over the years from it’s early days with a shed and £25 in the bank, and soon became a well-loved part of the Heeley landscape providing beautiful green spaces and education, employment, and training opportunities. Heeley City Farm is now a well established community, not for profit charity and visitor attraction based on a working farm a mile from Sheffield City centre. Staff and volunteers from Heeley City Farm work with young people, adults with learning disabilities and with local communities across Sheffield to promote regeneration, environmental education, energy efficiency and health and well-being. Horticulture trainees, staff and volunteers also manage organic vegetable gardens at Meersbrook Park, Wortley Walled Gardens and Firth Park allotments. The last remaining terraced house on the Farm site on Alexandra Road has been eco –refurbished and now houses Heeley Energy House, formerly South Yorkshire Energy Centre, an interactive visitor and advice centre open to the public on Wednesday - Sunday, 11am - 3pm. Heeley City Farm is open every day of the year except Christmas Day 9am till 5pm

All programmes will be supported and delivered by step 2 training tutors who will be designated to support you through your induction, learning & career goals and also to support you through your work experience in the sector you have chosen to work in and experience. Julian House offers services to clients with differing levels of need, these include homeless services, accomodation and our hostel on Manvers streetJulian House is a charity that supports vulnerable and at-risk individuals. These include adults and young people experiencing homelessness, escaping domestic abuse, adults with learning difficulties and people who need support after leaving prison. “Every year, we support over 1,800 vulnerable individuals.” We operate more than 40 different projects, accommodation sites and social enterprises across South West England. These include our homeless outreach services, a 20-bed emergency access hostel, various support. We also run multiple training programmes (including at our bike workshops in Bath and Trowbridge) to help people regain confidence, learn new transferable work skills, get back into education, volunteering and employment.

The charity does this by providing guided walks in the British countryside whilst incorporating training to develop and improve digital media skills. By providing these services, The Outdoor Collaborative gives the users an opportunity to gain valuable life skills.The young people will also get a much needed ‘stepping stone’ to future employment as their work will be showcased for potential employers to view. The lives of the young people will also be improved as, by providing an opportunity to be outdoors and be creative, their mental health should be improved.
