I am a mosaic artist based in Dunblane, Scotland. I use a range of materials in my work, particularly those which allow me to create texture and dimension. Slate is one of my favourite materials to use - it is strong yet delicate, and can contain a range of colours and surfaces. I also love using stone and smalti (a special type of glass for mosaics). I love inspiring others to get creative and I enjoy teaching regular workshops from my home studio. I believe that the process of making a mosaic can be therapeutic, whether it is the mindfulness and relaxation that comes from concentrating on placing individual pieces, or the social interactions that arise from working as part of a group. I am a professional member and the secretary of the British Association for Modern Mosaic (BAMM)

I have been sewing for as long as I can remember, starting with making dolls clothes as a child, and later progressing onto dressmaking and then quilting. I attended courses and over the years have developed my own style and designs. My aim is to give this traditional craft a contemporary twist with the use of vibrant colours and bold designs. I make all the quilts myself in my home studio. I have a flair for combining colours to create a strong visual impact The inspiration for many of my designs comes from the countryside and creatures which surround me, from pecking chickens, frisking horses and buzzing bees to poppy fields and beautiful garden flowers. My quilts are exhibited at national craft fairs throughout the UK and have been featured in 'Country Living' and 'Aspire magazines'. They are shipped worldwide. Quilting Workshops... Would you like to spend a relaxing and stress free day or weekend? Would you like to learn to quilt? Come along to one of my quilting workshops, run regularly across Herefordshire and Wales. In 1999, Jason Fabri set up Watercolours Diving Expeditions which specialized in Live-aboard diving trips around the Maltese islands and in 2007, together with Patrick Vella, opened Watercolours Dive Centre which is now situated at the water’s edge within the Sliema Aquatic Sports Club in Sliema, Malta.
