Coastal Child and Adult Therapeutic Services (CCATS) has extensive experience and a successful track record of providing psychological assessment and treatment services for children, young people, adults and families. We work throughout the north of England, covering a wide area including Lancashire, Manchester, Cheshire, Yorkshire and beyond. We work in partnership with many organisations including the NHS, social care, Youth Offending Teams, GPs and schools. Specialist services for looked after children are provided in partnership with carefully selected children’s residential care providers. Services have been commissioned not only by the residential care sector but also by over 30 local authorities and NHS commissioning groups from across the UK. We work with legal practices, acting in accordance with instructions from the Courts. Self-referrals are also accepted.

A robust management strategy is ineffective if the food and drink provision does not consistently meet clinical recommendations. Our ORAL approach to catering for dysphagia diets makes it easy to understand how to provide a varied and high-quality service that meets the IDDSI Framework, covering cultural requirements, allergen requirements and plant-based choices. We work with women and families across Ayrshire who face hardships such as social isolation and loneliness, homelessness, sexual exploitation, abuse, addictions, mental and physical health problems, long-term unemployment, poverty and more. Our mission is to promote positive change and provide solutions that make a lasting impact within the community of Ayrshire. We provide a warm, friendly, safe environment, where women and families can come to get support, socialise, make friends and help empower each other through our workshops and group activities. In the three years that we have been providing our services we have helped assist thousands of vulnerable women and their families. Our highly trained team of support workers, community engagement officers and training and prevention coordinators bring a wealth of knowledge from various areas of health and social care and community learning and development. We deliver a holistic approach and work collaboratively with other services and organisations throughout Ayrshire to help achieve positive outcomes for our service users. Our charity, BHA For Equality (BHA)’s aim is to challenge and address health and social care inequalities and to support individuals and communities to improve their health and wellbeing. BHA (BHAF, Black HIV/AIDS Forum) was started in 1990 and was formed from a grassroots movement set up in response to the lack of HIV information and services for Black communities in Manchester. It was developed to ensure that Black communities had access to accurate and culturally appropriate information on HIV. BHA further developed to advocate for the delivery of health and care services for Black and ethnic minority communities at local, regional and national level. BHA now runs funded projects for Black and ethnic minority communities and those who are marginalised or disadvantaged across the North West and Yorkshire.

Vaijayanti has worked in mental health, social care and education for over 25 years. She started her career in forensic psychiatry working in a medium secure unit in London. She has worked with varied client groups including adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, challenging behaviours, as well as those with severe and enduring mental health issues. She was employed as a Mental Health Social Worker for eight years before developing the post of Mental Health Coordinator for her local Further Education College. Trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Behavioural Family Therapy, she has a teaching qualification as well has her degree in Psychology. She now uses her education and experience to train other professionals. She is an associate trainer for Mind as well as running her own training company.
