Technical Education Academy is a progressive training organisation delivering high quality and affordable education with the primary objective of promoting the development of people in the society through skills enhancement. Our doors are open to all members of the local communities across the country who wish to enhance their skills and progress in their chosen fields of careers.
We encourage and support our students in exploring their own potential, nurturing existing talents and interests and discovering new ones along the way. To ensure we enable each and every girl to fulfil her potential, an emphasis is placed on personalisation, on proactive mentoring and on pastoral care. Our students will embark upon adult life conscious of their worth, ambitious for their futures and aware that they are lucky indeed to have been educated here.
Hollinwood Academy is a special school in Oldham that provides an educational offer for children and young people with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and speech, language and communication difficulties. As part of the Newbridge Group Trust, we share our school’s mission statement, “Learning together, learning for all, learning for life” with the MAT and this is at the heart of everything we do. It is our belief that all children and young people, whatever their background or ability, will achieve their full potential and become valued and participating members of our community.

Bluecoat has a long and rich history spanning back over 300 years. The school was founded in 1706 as the first charity school in Nottingham. Under the guidance of the then rector of St. Peter’s church, Timothy Fenton. Classes were taught in the porch of St. Mary’s Church in the Lace Market area of Nottingham In 1706. The school was founded “to train poor children in the knowledge of God and religion, as taught in the Church of England.” Starting from a modest number of children it is now a community of over 2,300 learners, primarily based on two sites in Aspley and Aspley. A new building, costing £5.7m, will also open in January on a third site to become the permanent home of our primary school which currently has children from Reception through to Year 3 and is growing year-on-year. In 2014 a new part of the Bluecoat story took place with Bluecoat Beechdale becoming the newest member of the Bluecoat family and part of our Academy Trust.
