CCO, the Collaboration Company, specialises in business coaching. We understand business culture, strategy, leadership and management.Our Coaching Programmes are designed to support those in Executive Leadership roles, Senior Management, Mid-Level Management and Supervisory roles. These are tailored to provide individual professional development for each individual aligned with the needs of the business. Often involving 360 feedback, our coaching framework identifies gaps in competency, communication, confidence and behavioural attributes. These become the area of focus during the Coaching programme. Our entry level Supervisory Management and Junior Management Coaching support can be provided to small groups combined with structured group training and workplace mentoring. Leadership and Management We have extensive experience working with individuals and groups in developing leadership and management competence. Acquiring knowledge is, in itself, not the most effective metric to gauge true development. Our focus is to support the application of learning in the workplace using a series of tried, trusted and value adding techniques, toolkits and approaches. Our deep-rooted understanding of brain science and human behaviour is paramount in supporting clients effectively apply their knowledge with work colleagues and their team members. Performance Culture A shift in culture occurs when language and behaviour both changes. Without exception, each of our clients have a need to develop the culture of performance within their team, department or across their business. We have a practical, step-by-step approach to improving the performance of individuals and teams. This starts by creating absolute clarity on performance outcomes and concludes only when the structure for measuring outcomes and providing support are embedded. Our approach ensures that people are clear on what is expected and that performance outcomes are aligned with broader departmental and business objectives. We ensure that outcomes are reasonable, achievable and that a structure is established to provide feedback and support each individual ‘win’. Mediation Where people work together, the potential for conflict and disagreement exists. This is often between individuals but it can show up in tension between departments or stakeholders who need to work more collaboratively. Our Business coaches are skilled at mediation in the workplace. Combining our knowledge and experience within businesses with our expertise on behaviour, we quickly get to the root of the issue. We coach and train individuals and teams to resolve concerns, move beyond legacy issues and upset to work agreeably and with respect.

I’m a Doctoral Practitioner graduate from the World Class DBA Business Economics programme at University College Cork, where I was supervised by renowned Harvard Professors Robert Kegan ret. (Head of Adult Professional Development) and Eleanor Doyle (Co-Chair of Harvard Business School’s Knowledge Generation Council and a member of the Harvard Hall of Fame). My significant academic and practice credentials are further complemented by graduating from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business with an Advanced Management Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Business and Executive Coaching, an MBA from Newport, and study in Adult Training and Continuing Education, Neuro Linguistics, Industrial Relations, Negotiation, Management Accounting, and the Science and Practice of Agriculture. I’m a consummate believer in learning-by- doing, experiential knowledge and lifelong learning. I am a specialist in Next Generation Leadership and Next Level Growth with significant doctoral training in Adult Mental Development and Complexity and Self-Directed Learning. I update my framework regularly by ongoing and lifelong learning through research and practice from the World’s top Universities and Institutes of Technology, Harvard, MIT and Wharton as my principle resources. My approach facilitates the connection of CEO’s, business owners and leaders to individuals and groups in their organisations to fulfil their collective potential to grow their businesses. I achieve this by helping shape, evolve and embed highly collaborative ongoing programmes of change and growth using organically conceived frameworks. I do this by mapping out the psychological, social, and commercial goals that work to achieve sustainable growth and preferred futures with individuals, groups and leaders in their business pursuits. My work life has taken me on journeys to four different continents and six different countries with an overarching purpose to the commitment of sustainable business growth and prosperity. I’ve led regional economic initiatives, turnarounds of multinationals, family businesses, and small to medium enterprises. On this journey, I discovered a world very different to the traditional world of business where power, position, and coercive behaviour that I used to believe was how everyone conducted themselves at work. I have combined my practical experience with learning gleaned through academic study to develop conceptual frameworks that are uniquely designed to understand business performance challenges. I have been making pieces in copper foil stained glass for the last six years. It all started when I enrolled in an adult education course at my local college. Deciding that I wanted one evening a week to do something completely different and creative, the stained glass course jumped out of the page of the brochure at me. After only three evenings of learning, I was totally hooked, counting down the days until the next Wednesday! Not only was it exciting to be learning such a traditional craft, but I got to meet such a wonderful group of people in my class, all from very different walks of life. Some aspects were highly frustrating, cutting glass was the first hurdle to overcome. I practised in between lessons and started to get the hang of it after quite a few glass cuts! Next, soldering would prove to be a real challenge. When melted, it seemed to have its own mind and didn’t want to flow where you were expecting it to. It took all of us many weeks to learn the various stages of producing what seems now, a very small and untidy first piece of work. But the pride in having made something from start to finish was immense. By this time, it was November and Christmas was approaching fast. I had decided to put my new found craft to use and make a few small Christmas decorations as presents for family. Friends at work were intrigued by my new hobby, and as soon as I had finished making the decorations, I took them in to work so they could see what I had spent all my free time obsessing over! On the first day I took them in, I had twelve requests to make some more! I was elated that people liked my work so much, they were willing to pay me for it. I was also slightly concerned that it was only a couple of weeks until we finished for Christmas! But I accepted the challenge and decided I had to aim to make one decoration per evening. The intense practise meant my glass cutting and soldering skills improved rapidly. All the orders were completed just in time and I had earned money from doing something I absolutely loved. The money was re- invested in to buying more sheets of glass!
