I was a late comer to Floristry (my background is in Marketing) but the creative and organisational skills gained during my years of marketing are so valuable when it comes to planning flowers for an event. I re-trained in floristry while living in Australia, and in 2021 The Harbour Florist (named after Sydney Harbour) was born. I now work from a home studio near Newbury, Berkshire. I focus on weddings and events plus the occasional workshop, and my aim is always to create beautiful, relaxed, designs tailored specifically to you. I like to keep designs looking as close to nature as possible, using flowers in their natural form and colour, locally grown when available and combining with lush green foliage for added texture and contrast.

Our workshop package includes: "Aspiring to UK universities" presentation and Q&A for Students and Parents - 1 hour "Preparing for Oxbridge: Beyond good grades" for Students, Parents and teachers. - 1 hour "What top UK universities are looking for in a Personal Statement" for Students - 45 mins In these presentations we uncover what makes a UK university application shine, delve deep into how to complete a successful Oxbridge application, and answer any questions. For every kit or workshop purchased, a displaced child receives one for free. Earl of East is creative business founded by Niko Dafkos and Paul Firmin in 2014. What started out as a shared passion project, has grown organically from side-hustle to a business with a team of 18 located in London. A love of fragrance and a desire to build something of our own led us to develop our own line of home fragrance products, which has since expanded from just three candles to a line that encompasses, candles, incense, home mists and bath and body products, all of which are produced by us in London. We now have over 230 stockists worldwide and in September 2019 we launched our debut book, "The Scented Candle Workshop" with Kyle Books in the UK and USA.

35 Design Space is an interactive studio set up to share craft knowledge and bring creative classes to all. Our classes are hands on and we hope that you learn a new skill and have a great time doing it! We aim to provide a creative learning environment to support and inspire fellow crafters. Alongside offering current and innovative workshop classes we want to promote historical textile crafts and share these endangered crafts to encourage their revival. If you wish to arrange a private event or book a custom made session please get in touch. Our studio can accommodate parties of up to 15. We'd love to help you celebrate occasions such as your birthday, baby shower, hen party and Christmas events with a workshop tailored to you. We're also available to lead corporate team building and mindfulness sessions with a difference. Try turning your hand at some creative crafts and surprise yourself with what you can make! We also offer private portfolio and university preparation tutoring to help you be more prepared and confident through the university applications process. Making Futures is a social enterprise working with a wide range of groups to improve health, wellbeing, self-esteem & employability through creative arts. Making Futures CIC is the latest addition to the DT Craft & Design family. Debbie has been quietly running Making Futures for several years, teaching and producing training materials, mentoring and working with community groups. As it has now ‘grown up’ we thought it should have its own website so welcome to our new space here on the web. The DT Crafts shop is, of course still very much available, with an ever-increasing range of products (and a need for more storage space!). It’s still just the two of us looking after you so expect the same personalised service and attention to detail here as at the shop. Debbie will still be answering your emails and questions (no ‘bots’ on our sites!), taking workshop and course bookings and discussing your requirements for courses, groups and projects. Speaking of which, we are thrilled to announce that we have joined the Artybird flock and we are delighted to be able to offer two amazing, professional distance learning knitwear design programmes – both accredited by City & Guilds. We’ve produced a short video and prospectuses for each programme which you can find here. And for those of you who may not have met us in person or are new visitors, we’ve done a short video about Debbie and how DT Crafts and Making Futures came about, here.
