This course is designed to suit a broad range of Care Sector staff. This training ensures that learners are equipped with a sufficient knowledge of mental health disorders so that they are able to manage and provide a high standard of support to affected service users. Learners will also know how to identify the symptoms of different mental disorders, adding real value to any organisation to which they provide services to.

This course enables learners to logically and clearly work through the risk management process, from being aware of the relevant legislation, identifying hazards, assessing risk and onwards through risk reduction, balancing risk against individual choice, and the importance of recording keeping. It aims to increase learner awareness of both their responsibility and their organisation's responsibility, for meeting industry standards and keeping service users, staff, and workplaces safe.

Come and join Supported Loving's Community of Practice for anyone working with people with learning disabilities and/or autistic people delivering relationships and sex education, this can be formally groups or informally within your job role. It provides information on the different types, classifications and forms of medication, as well as providing guidance on safe storage and disposal.
