Welcome to Wilson Stuart school – A special school for students aged 2-19 years of age. Here at Wilson Stuart we cater for students from Early years all the way through to Post 16 for those students with complex physical disabilities and medical needs. All of the students in our care have an Education Health Care Plan in place. Wilson Stuart is part of the Education Impact Academy Trust and our staff and students work closely with our partner schools, Queensbury and Mayfield to ensure that our students get the best curriculum offer. Everything we do in school as part of our ‘Get Real’ curriculum is about Giving Enough Time for Real life experiences and preparing students effectively for adulthood through improving their resilience and independence on a daily basis. Our curriculum is split into a number of pathways to meet the needs of the students including EYFS, Challenge, Explore, Believe and Inspire. Our team of committed staff are passionate about meeting the needs of our students and provide support in our specialist provision setting. We recognise that each learner is unique and our learning encompasses a wide range of experiences including sensory exploration, play, outdoor learning and accreditation and student progress is carefully monitored and evidenced as part of their learning journey. Inner Flame is a local Swindon-based Charity running programmes for young people who find themselves at a disadvantage in Swindon and Wiltshire. The organisation was founded by David Wreathall in 2008. The passion is to give young people the tools and mindset to thrive in their future lives. Our programmes are based around experiential learning; challenging the young people and inspiring them to grab life and run with it. We are probably best known for the Prince’s Trust Team Programme, which is a 12-week full time employability and self-development programme. It’s an incredible programme and can genuinely be life-changing. We have also developed our own Mental Health Programme: Manage Anxiety Your Way. We created this in response to the increased need (even before the Pandemic) for mental health support for young people. This programme is proving to meet a need and the feedback about the impact on young people is powerful. Around these programmes we run shorter programmes to create a full progression route for young people. Success is measured by hard outcomes, such as young people progressing to the workplace, but also by soft outcomes; such as increased resilience, motivation and development of goals and aspirations. At Inner Flame we always start with the individual. Many young people who come through our doors have low self esteem and feel their lives have little value. We show them that they can achieve and help them start their journey.

We are passionate about wellbeing and holistic learning. Our coaching helps people excel academically and to cultivate a growth MINDSET and growth HEARTSET. We believe having this balance of the head (rational intelligence) and heart (emotional intelligence), together with the gut (physical intelligence) as the keystone, is the secret to unlocking your genius and resiliency. We have supported our children with a holistic approach to education, which we call compassionate based learning. This experiential learning has seen our children develop from building blocks to scholarship and bursaries at an independent school and securing offers to read at Oxbridge. Along this journey we have learnt a lot that we thought would help other parents and their children. We have often been asked for help and advice and we’d share the best of what we learnt, and we would often be told we should coach for a living. So, that’s what we did: we left our pharmacy and IT careers, and after qualifying from gold star training providers, undertaking hours of self-study to compliment the face to face training, and gaining the requisite hours for accreditation by coaching pro-bono we have developed our own unique coaching system to help children bring out the genius within themselves. Accelerated learning, exam success, grammar/independent school applications, university/Oxbridge applications and a personal brand portfolio are areas we specialise in, as well as the holistic element of learning: resilience and the emotions of beliefs and behaviours.

Fast Progress Tuition (FPT) is a specialist unregistered Alternative Provision for children who suffer from Emotionally-Based School Absence (EBSA). We build confidence, self-esteem and resilience in a controlled educational setting meaning that secondary complications of EBSA are prevented: education is not compromised and our students are able to take huge steps forward in both social and academic environments. Every child who attends FPT has a different academic pathway and social goals, all of which are developed in parallel with each other, resulting in a child who is active, confident and feels like they can achieve in different environments. FPT are on the Alternative Provision Directory for both Essex County Council and Southend Council.
