Knowledge Exchange (KE) is a collaborative, creative endeavour that translates knowledge and research into impact in society and the economy (a definition agreed by global KE/TT alliance, ATTP). PraxisAuril is the UK’s professional association for KE practitioners working in universities, private and public sector research organisations to manage IP commercialisation, collaboration and other types of engagement between researchers and external organisations to deliver social and economic impact through innovation and enhanced productivity and skills. Based in the UK but global in reach, our network includes 4000+ active KE practitioners from more than 182 member organisations as well as key sector stakeholders, industry service providers, and business representatives. Our core mission is to Develop, Promote and Connect our members and the work that they do to ensure that the UK derives economic, social and creative impact from its world-leading research base. Our national training programme is admired around the world for the quality of it content and the knowledge of the expert practitioners who deliver it. We have trained over 5,300 Knowledge Exchange practitioners from 40 countries, including 400 in China. PraxisAuril is a founding member of the Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP), driving global professional standards and recognition through RTTP accreditation. Since 2002 the Cambridge-based executive team, led by Maxine Ficarra, has worked with hundreds of expert practitioner volunteers to extend the organisation’s professional development, membership and advocacy activities nationally and internationally. The Christian Coach and Mentor Network is a digital hub for Christian mentoring and coaching in the UK. We are passionate about Christian mentoring and coaching, about overall consistency in the work that is offered from Christian mentors and coaches, and about the Christian community working together to provide a valuable and worthwhile service to those seeking a Christian mentor or coach. The pressures of Christian ministry demands a wide range of gifts, skills and a depth of spirituality. As demanding as this is, many have also found themselves isolated and have been looking for mentors and coaches to travel with them. Those who have found mentors and coaches testify to the impact on their life and leadership, but many struggle to find a mentor or coach, often not knowing who to ask or where to go. The Christian Coach and Mentor Network is a project under Chapel House Ministries, a space of unhurried encouragement, good food, laughter, honesty, passion, and (in the words of a recent visitor) “the finest puddings in all the ‘Shire.” Our team includes the trustees of Chapel House, a leadership team and an operations team. You can meet us here Our website provides access to Christian coaches and mentors for anyone looking for this support in the UK with categories for youth, church leadership and general mentoring. We also provide a central hub for training, resources. local support and supervision. In the future we are planning regional and national events to support coaches and mentors across the UK plus more resources including webinars and training to ensure the standard of coaching and mentoring in the Christian world is as high as possible.

Finishing my Masters degree in Business management and English back in 1990, I was drawn to my initial love for teaching. From then on, my career path veered from teaching to customer coordinator, project manager to being a progress coach in a Sixth Form College. This last step inspired me to become a qualified coach. I decided to leave full time employment in September 2016 and after a very enjoyable 6 month training with Animas I got my Transformational Life Coaching certificate in May 2017 and became ICF (International Coaching Federation) accredited in June 2018. As a true multipotentialite, my life also involves many projects, volunteering, mentoring and training. My coaching clients vary from students to corporate, self employed and Academics. Issues we have been addressing range from self confidence, lack of direction and clarity to procrastination. My own learnings through this amazing journey have been patience and looking at others’ perspectives and stay curious. My key skill is presence and intuition. Looking forward to carrying on growing as a professional coach, I seize every opportunity to attend talks, networking events, read blogs, volunteer and reach out to the community. In the long run, my main goals are to keep helping the most in need: the youngsters. I truly believe in the power of pure coaching and will endeavour to keep learning and better my skills to help you obtain the change you crave for. Making Futures is a social enterprise working with a wide range of groups to improve health, wellbeing, self-esteem & employability through creative arts. Making Futures CIC is the latest addition to the DT Craft & Design family. Debbie has been quietly running Making Futures for several years, teaching and producing training materials, mentoring and working with community groups. As it has now ‘grown up’ we thought it should have its own website so welcome to our new space here on the web. The DT Crafts shop is, of course still very much available, with an ever-increasing range of products (and a need for more storage space!). It’s still just the two of us looking after you so expect the same personalised service and attention to detail here as at the shop. Debbie will still be answering your emails and questions (no ‘bots’ on our sites!), taking workshop and course bookings and discussing your requirements for courses, groups and projects. Speaking of which, we are thrilled to announce that we have joined the Artybird flock and we are delighted to be able to offer two amazing, professional distance learning knitwear design programmes – both accredited by City & Guilds. We’ve produced a short video and prospectuses for each programme which you can find here. And for those of you who may not have met us in person or are new visitors, we’ve done a short video about Debbie and how DT Crafts and Making Futures came about, here. Apparently "ballerina" was code for business owner because now she teaches art in her own studio. Her path included earning an art degree from High Point College (now university), many years spent as an art director for print media, and many more teaching preschool locally. She founded Outside the Lines Art Studio in 2011 to share her belief in the transformative power of visual art with her community. An artist who has spent time exploring an art medium thoroughly may or may not produce a masterpiece worthy of professional framing and prominent display, but they will certainly produce something they are proud of, independent of others’ opinions. They will have expressed themselves to their own satisfaction. They will have experienced something new and learned from it. They will feel more self-assured and confident. Those are products you can’t hang on the wall, or even the fridge.

As a Speech and Language Therapist passionate about supporting children’s communication skills, I’ve created this as a space to share information, resources and ideas. I have extensive experience of working with children from 2-16 years with a range of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). I studied to become a Speech and Language Therapist at Newcastle University and developed my enthusiasm for supporting children’s communication throughout the course. Since being qualified (2011) I have worked in the NHS in the North East and in Yorkshire, supporting children in the community, early years and school settings. I have also worked directly for schools supporting the individual needs of the children as well as leading on staff training and development in specific areas of Speech and Language. I believe that communication is a vital skill in order to participate in a range of activities of daily living. Everyone deserves the support required to enable them to communicate effectively. I have worked with children with a range of SLCN and have particular interests in supporting children’s early language, speech sound development and selective mutism. The information presented on this website contains ideas and resources to develop speech and language skills in children and is designed to support, not replace, consultation with a Speech and Language Therapist. Ladypool is a small, friendly and inviting school in the heart of Sparkbrook where we serve a community from a wide range of backgrounds. Herefordshire Council was established in April 1998 and took over the responsibilities of South Herefordshire District Council, Hereford City Council and Hereford-Worcester County Council and some of Leominster District Council and Malvern Hills District Council. Herefordshire Council's ambitions are set out in full in our county plan. They focus on the key areas of environment, community and economy and are to: Protect and enhance our environment and keep Herefordshire a great place to live Strengthen communities to ensure everyone lives well and safely together Support an economy which builds on the county's strengths and resources Herefordshire Council operates a leader and cabinet model of governance. The council's 53 members meet together as full Council to set the policy framework, agree the budget and spending plans, set the Council Tax, elect the leader of the council and make constitutional decisions. It is also a forum for debate on major issues affecting the council and the county. Once elected, the leader of the council appoints and chairs the cabinet, sometimes called the executive. Each cabinet member has a specific area of responsibility, called a portfolio. The different service areas or activities the council is responsible for are called functions and the law determines whether decisions about a function are the responsibility of full Council (or one of its committees), an individual officer, or of the executive. The council's employees, often called officers, are responsible for delivering the council's policies and for the day-to-day operation of the organisation. Officers have a duty to support the whole council, are not accountable to individual councillors or to the political group in control of the council and must remain politically neutral.
