The Giles Foreman Centre for Acting is a dynamic professional acting studio based in Soho, in the heart of London; together with GFCA International Centres in Europe and USA. We are the leading Centre for Character Analysis. We provide distinctive, enjoyably rigorous and person-centred training for aspiring individuals and professional actors – taught by some of the leading acting, movement, voice, analysis, improvisation and camera-technique coaches available. If you choose to come to GFCA, we provide many ways to participate; regular part-time acting classes; short intensive workshops; one-to-one coaching; and 2-, 3- and 4-term full-time courses. Since March 2020 we have also embraced a wider, global community through online training, particularly in Character Analysis, Movement Psychology and advanced scene-study with Giles Foreman. People new to acting can discover the skills through our beginners’ classes and workshops, progressing onward part-time; or take our Foundation Acting ATCL Diploma over 3 terms (Saturday, and evening route). Those who think they may be ready – you may have have previous acting or performing experience, have studied at University, or come via other routes – audition for our 4-term 16-month advanced intensive Acting Diploma (Post-Graduate equivalent-level). Ours is amongst the most affordable courses of its kind in the country, and yet it is built around intensive teaching by renowned coaches, with small class sizes designed to develop people as thoroughly as possible. It is vigorous, focussed, demanding; based on a huge tradition, producing actors with skills tailored for the modern film, TV and theatre industries. Pro weekend session Professional actors come to develop their skills through acting classes and workshops with top practitioners from all over the world – and to create projects in both film and theatre. Actors can use studio coaches and facilities to prepare for auditions, and to develop in-depth characters for film roles that they have already secured. Alongside actor-training, GFCA offers casting and coaching-services, and scriptwriting development to the film industry. Due to our location in Soho, centre of the UK media industries, GFCA also offers many opportunities to meet casting directors, directors and producers through regular events; plays, showcases, castings, play-readings and Industry events. The acting philosophy at the studio was developed from that of the original Drama Centre London under Christopher Fettes, Yat Malmgren and Reuven Adiv, who together trained some of the leading UK actors of recent years – from Sean Connery, Anthony Hopkins, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Simon Callow, Geraldine James, Frances de la Tour – to Helen McCrory, Anne Marie Duff, Paul Bettany, Tara Fitzgerald, Lambert Wilson, Michael Fassbender, Tom Hardy, Santiago Cabrera, Gwendoline Christie, Ryan Gage and John Simm, to name but a few. Christopher Fettes, founder of Drama Centre London, holds the title of tutor-emeritus for our studio. The teaching process utilises a system of methods within Realism. We are one of the very few centres in the world providing detailed training courses in the extraordinary Laban/Jungian technique of Character Analysis / Movement Psychology developed by Yat Malmgren, to develop people’s psychological understanding both of themselves and the characters they are playing. Our holistic acting education is influenced by Stanislavski, as well as the philosophy of Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagen, Stella Adler and Sanford Meisner, creating actors capable of sophisticated, transformative performance. The Centre has relationships with other similar organisations around the world and offers many exchange programmes. In 2015 we opened our sister centre, GFCA Paris, joining GFCA International bases in other cities such as New York & LA; GFCA Luxembourg, and GFCA Zürich We have substantial expertise in delivering Corporate training both in the UK and abroad. We have also established a publishing arm, launching the book A Peopled Labyrinth written by Drama Centre founder Christopher Fettes in September 2015. sarah madsen jewellery

English Artist, Sarah Madsen attended Central Saint Martins School of Art & Design in London, England. There she gained a BA Hons Degree in Jewellery Design. This interest in 3D Design was quite a different direction from her first love of Fine Art. The Desire to follow figurative art has been a constant theme throughout her life as an artist. In 1992 the artist received a Travel Bursary from The Royal Society of British Sculptors on a Medal Design. She has also exhibited at various locations such as the Mall Galleries in London, Silvermine Art Centre in Connecticut and also at Steven Whyte Figurative Sculpture Studio in Carmel, California, USA. After 12 years of living in various locations in the USA. Sarah returned to the U.K in 2013 and started her business "Sarah Madsen Jewellery." “It all started from drawing, always drawing. This all eventually lead to starting my Jewellery business from the kitchen table. (With a family of 4 children, you can only imagine, I grew quickly off the idea of mealtimes.) To thankfully now, a full Jewellery workshop/garden studio in the wilds of Cambridgeshire. Raw materials are transformed by using traditional metalworking techniques such as hammering, filing, stone setting, wax carving and soldering. I create every single item by hand. Pursuing an organic, floral and figurative style. I'm always trying to create a classic or "living feeling" piece (such as the Tiaras.) My aim is to bring quality and design together, to produce carefully crafted Jewellery work that is of heirloom and artistic merit. I feel extremely proud that I'm able to be part of the importance of keeping our skills as craftsmen alive here in the U.K. "

Both myself, and my dear friend Michelle Wake who sadly passed away in 2020, are award winning garden designers. We always dreamed of creating workshops that offered people a way of expressing their creativity and love of nature’s beauty, both outside or inside their home. And with The Crafty Gardeners we could share our expertise, along with plenty of clever tips on making gardens look amazing or turning a bunch of flowers into a fantastic floral arrangement to appreciate at home. Our garden design workshops cover everything from knowing which are bomb proof plants and how to create beautiful borders to making the most of your garden with the best layout. The flower arranging workshops teach you the techniques a florist would use to make beautiful bouquets or wonderful displays and Christmas wreaths. What better way to feel creative than by being in some of the most inspiring places in the South West such as Bowood House and Gardens , Westonbirt Arboretum and The Walled Garden at Mells. And you’ll have plenty of time to explore them afterwards as our Workshops are half day or short full days – perfect for fitting around our busy lives. Everything for your chosen workshop is included, such as a drawing kit or flowers, foliage and equipment. Suitable for all levels of experience, simply join me and a maximum of 10 others, where I’ll first show you what to do before you have a go yourself, giving you all the time and space to let your creativity grow.

Ballet Our ballet classes are a fun, friendly and relaxed way to learn the RAD syllabus. Enjoy ballet, no matter your ability! Street Dance Our Rising & Shooting Stars can enjoy learning routines each term to their favourite music. We discover new moves, and enhance our skills in balance, turns, and basic street dance tricks. Take part in our annual show, perform at local events and have fun with your friends at our inclusive sessions. Creative Tap Start your tap journey as a Rising Star, with a 15 minute class which introduces the basic moves. Once these are established, our Shooting and Shining Stars can come along to Creative Tap, where we have fun choreographing routines, learning new skills and exploring rhythm and movements with our feet! Musical Theatre Rising & Shooting Stars ca explore their voices with our weekly Musical Theatre class! Each term, we choose a different song from a musical or movie - so far we've covered Mary Poppins, Matilda and Encanto to name a few! We learn the song, and then we explore moving at the same time! It's perfect for encouraging confidence, and finding new talents! Creative Fusion Brand new for 2023, our fantastic workshop style class for our Shining Star students covers street dance and basic acro, alongside stretching and strengthening which are essential for being a well rounded, talented dancer! Beverley and Nigel Caleno own, run and are fully immersed in all aspects of Old Bank Studios life. We bought the Old Bank in Harwich in 2011. Having brought up and educated a family in Colchester, we were looking for a change of lifestyle and an opportunity to build on Bev’s Interior and Soft Furnishing business. Falling in love with this magnificent building and the unspoilt, faded charm of Harwich town, where beautiful architecture sits alongside maritime industry and stunning estuary views…….. we took the plunge. Bev very quickly opened her Textile Studio and it soon became clear that demand for her workshops and courses was going from strength to strength. Encouraged by this success, the decision was made to start inviting tutors from outside to deliver workshops; we were going to need more space! And so began a full restoration of the main banking hall; with it’s high ceiling, perfect light and ample space, our new Art Studio was created. As time went on a kitchen was installed in the former bank vault. Since our first Art Workshop in June 2013, we have successfully run hundreds of one day events and longer courses, attracting many of the country’s leading artists and tutors to work with us. Our reputation has spread far and wide and we regularly welcome students from the four corners of the UK, as well as further afield. On a personal level we both continue to explore and develop our own creativity and hold an annual exhibition of our work. Bev is firmly established as a Textile Artist and more recently a painter in Watercolour, whilst Nigel works in in many media, but is gaining a reputation as a Plein Air Oil Painter. Our unique coaching approach is run by an experienced team which includes a Chartered Psychologist, CBT Coach and Advanced Equine Coaches together with our herd of beautiful herd of horses. The session is run outside with horses no classrooms or talking based therapy.  This workshop is designed to improve your Well-being in a natural, supportive and calming environment whilst in the presence of horses. It is ideal for anyone struggling to manage stress and anxiety in their lives, and/or who would like to take stock of things and find a way forward in life. There is time to connect with others or to find peace by yourself, talk or don't talk, everyone is treated as an individual. Horses have a therapeutic and calming effect on people and have the ability to see the real person, giving them instant and honest feedback. You will be able to learn and practice key skills and positive coping strategies, learning from the horse's behaviour, which in turn will help you manage and self- regulate your emotions, feelings and behaviours.

We have been successfully running Art, Craft and Music workshops and have been hosting thousands of exciting events like birthday parties, hen party and corporate events. In 2019, the studio has fully upgraded to a brand new location in Tower Bridge, a fantastic creative space.    The studio is created by Jing, MA Graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design, an associate designer with Zaha Hadid architect, by doing art, design and education her whole life, she brought all the aspects from arts, craft and music, all workshop experience is original as well as using all-natural ingredients and recyclable materials, this makes us one of the kind, best event creator in the country.   Token studio's philosophy is not just limited at the crafts is about creating a style of living, more creative, less waste, more sustainably by lots of fun way of creating everyday products, most importantly we promise that we made the experience full of joy and inspiration.

Studio Pottery London is a light-filled and spacious workshop for all who are attracted to making with clay, from absolute beginners to more experienced potters. We are uniquely located in central London in the heart of Victoria. A place of calm and community, our carefully curated space provides a perfect environment for city-dwellers to come together to learn and create. Our classroom of 12 wheels ensuring intimate classes. Our members area is carefully designed to give the members premium space. Our resident potter welcomes members and students into his private studio for one-to-one throwing and mentoring sessions. Together, with the teaching team and technician, we provide excellent support for the studio community. Curated window and vitrine displays of historic and contemporary ceramics inspire our makers and are for sale to visitors. The community can socialise in the central area with its library, kitchenette and facilities. This space is also for talks and workshops. In the rear of the studio is the kiln and glazing room, monitored by our in-house technician.
