We are Barnardo’s Healthy Minds Wiltshire, run by Barnardo’s and funded by Wiltshire Council. Barnardo’s believes in early intervention, providing support for children and young people before they face more serious mental health issues. With the right support, young people can transform their lives . Growing up is a challenge for everyone, but for some it’s more difficult than others. We offer practical and emotional support so that young people can enter adulthood with the confidence they need to achieve their full potential. We run many services across the UK, supporting young people’s emotional health and wellbeing, from one-to-one counselling to group work and schools-based programmes. This website has lots of information, practical tips and advice about supporting children and young people’s emotional wellbeing. We are here to help young people aged 5-18 registered with a GP in Wiltshire who are experiencing a range of early mental health difficulties through group work, activities in the community and counselling sessions for those young people who need more intensive support. We are also an all year round service and so our support does not stop in school holidays. We welcome referrals from young people, parents, carers and professionals. Chrysalis Craft Coventry CIC was founded in March 2020 in response to the urgent unmet needs of BAME and migrant communities who were disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The lockdown has challenged the mental health and wellbeing of everyone, more so for asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in our communities. Many have experienced unimaginable trauma and have seen major disruptions in their life already. The pandemic has amplified further the existing mental health problems. Often left in limbo, not able to take on higher education studies and not allowed to work (with many refugees under or unemployed) and likely to face loneliness or worse, direct discrimination, within their new communities. Chrysalis Craft Coventry CIC run sessions and activities to help with healing, using art and different artistic methods for wellbeing. The aim is to build self-esteem and friendship through artistic techniques, using art to work against loneliness as a result of language, cultural and ability barriers. The social enterprise supports people from a variety of different backgrounds, focussing on disadvantaged adult women immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers. Focusing on women who came to Coventry and the surrounding area recently, and those who have been here for a long time, but who have experienced barriers to integration. Local authority, NHS and charities working with migrants’ commission and refer people onto in-person and online workshops. Grant funding supports materials and content development. Over the short period of the start-up, Chrysalis Craft Coventry CIC supported thousands of individuals suffering from loneliness, domestic abuse, stress, anxiety, depression, homesickness and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder because of life experiences with positive results. During the pandemic the workshops have proven invaluable, acting as a safe environment and an information and signposting service. Directing people to urgently needed services they could not reach due to language barrier or stigma caused by misinformation.

After a four year degree studying French, German and Spanish - I decided the obvious thing to do next was teach English in Japan! Random - but I’m so thankful I made this decision: because it was my introduction to teaching and set me on the path as an educator. 3 years later, I trained as a yoga teacher in Scotland, before moving to Cornwall and deciding I wanted to be a Primary School Teacher. I wanted to share with kids so much about life and the world! Teaching was, admittedly, harder than expected. I loved elements but hated others. I’d always prioritised my health and wellbeing - but I found myself becoming stressed like I’d never experienced before. I know now that if I’d have continued to prioritise my own wellbeing, not only would teaching have been easier - but the children would have also benefited so much more. This is one of the key reasons Class Yoga is here: to raise the wellbeing of educators, so that the pupils benefit in turn. (Listen to more on this, here.) I believe we need to look after our own wellbeing to raise the wellbeing of our pupils I started to share yoga when I could. I got to see what worked and what didn’t; and I got a glimpse of some promising results. But when I left full-time teaching and started supply (and sharing more yoga) I started getting called back - to teach yoga! Because now the clear evidence, of greater calm and focus in children in the classroom after yoga, was shining out! So began my calling to teach yoga to more children, in more schools. Over this time, I developed and refined my method of teaching mindful movement to children, that I still teach and train others in, today. Active Cumbria, the Sport and Physical Activity Partnership is one of 42 Active Partnerships in England and is hosted within Cumbria County Council’s Public Health Team. Through strategic connectivity and partnerships, Active Cumbria has facilitated many measurable and positive outcomes contributing to an increase in participation in physical activity and sport. Our 5 Year Plan provides us with a framework which helps inform our decision making around effort and investment, and has been developed in partnership with our Advisory Board and wider sector partners to reflect the key challenges that increased levels of physical activity can contribute and support to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities. Tackling inequalities in participation in sport and physical activity is at the heart of the Plan, and aligns with the ambitions of Sport England’s 10 Year Strategy ‘Uniting the Movement’ which can be viewed here. Active Cumbria is governed by an independent Advisory Board, made up of highly skilled individuals from a range of backgrounds. The Board operates under an agreed Terms of Reference, and provides strategic leadership to the organisation and to the Core Team of professionals, who provide the co-ordination and structures which allow individuals and organisations to work together more effectively. The Advisory Board is committed to meeting the requirements of the Government’s Code for Sports Governance, and regularly reviews all aspects of its operations to ensure it is meeting the requirements of a Tier 3 organisation. One demonstrable way of evidencing our commitment to achieving the aims of the Code is through the make-up of the Advisory Board, which currently consists of 42% female members, against a target of 40%. This figure increases to 50% female representation when looking at only independent (and not Ex-officio) Advisory Board members.

“An integral process of how we move and breathe to connect to our life authentically. “ Kristel founded Yoga Horizons in 2010. She built three classes of 6 committed yoga students that stood standing for three years, all in different locations, one studio at her own home in Westfield, Hastings. After 10 years of specializing in 1-1 classes both therapeutically and as tailored yoga sessions for entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, sports, music courses and Cooperate Clients such as SAP and Lego, Kristel moved to develop her skills and become apart of the Occupational Team at The Huntercombe Hospital, Roehampton. In 2018, She was invited by the Director to write a program for yoga on Mental Health and Wellbeing, having become a popular Teacher and Facilitator for both Doctors, Psychologists and Patients. Lack of resources from public and private funding meant that the project reached proposal level. Kristel continued training, most recently before lockdown expanding into Yoga is nurseries and schools. With the lift of lockdown Kristel began outreach Therapy using yoga and wellbeing tools developed through movement and Therapy training to enhance the lives of children under 18 suffering with Autism, Learning disabilities and epilepsy. Kristel works outreach to Guildford, Surrey and Surrounding areas. In Sport, Kristel has been invited to be a visiting teacher at the Halerquins Women’s Rugby league team, bringing her practise to English National and International Women’s Sport as well as supporting the Young Mascots on Pitch side to Chelsea FC with their warm up to accompany the footballers onto the pitch. « I am delighted to be apart of Women’s International Sport and share in their Yoga Journey » Kristel Seidler Kristel continues to support Women’s sport at Chelsea FC in the Womens League.

''Care for young people's future CIC'', it's a Centre of Alternative Education and Reintegration for young people and families. Our mission and vision is: To support ,mentor and empower the young people from the Roma community and any other disadvantaged background : such as EAL, BAMER, SEN . To prioritise Looked after children and children with special needs without a diagnose by reconnecting them with their culture, heritage or community. To raise young people's aspirations and support them in achieving their best in life. To raise awareness of the Roma cultural background by working in partnership with all relevant services and public bodies. Covid -19 response Please note that due to COVID-19, our consultants have taken the difficult decision to suspend all face-to-face group and individual activities and services in response to Covid-19. This is to protect the most vulnerable members of the community and safeguard the health and wellbeing of everyone. We are starting face to face sessions in small groups and one to one for the most vulnerable young people. Our team have put in place alternative services where possible, e.g. telephone appointments, zoom sessions in Romanes and English. We are still doing outreach and provide educational activities to the most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people . This is my philosophy. There have been times when I might have said yes too quickly but equally, no-one lives forever.. This is why I decided to go for my Yoga teacher training. A passion to learn and to teach. Following a trip to Thailand I got back to my desk in Edinburgh and thought no! No more... And so I did it, and I want to share my journey and musings. MY YOGA JOURNEY I started ballet at a really young age of 2 and fell in love with being free to move and letting my imagination run wild. Often I was found looking at my mum's Iyengar Yoga book and imitating the yoga images over and over. This connection with movement has never left me. Inspired, I studied Performing Arts specialising in Contemporary Dance at De Montfort University, Bedford, and continued to study Community Education at Edinburgh University where I specialised in Community Arts and Youth Work. I found my way to Yoga after going to a gym class during a stressful period of work where I tried Power Yoga. My coordination at first was terrible and I was struggling to keep up with the class but still really enjoyed attending. I then decided to do a beginner class to see if that could help my coordination and balance. At this point Yoga was still a purely physical practice to me. It was not until several years later that I went on a trip to India where I travelled to Kerala and Goa and really started to be drawn to the spiritual and meditative side of Yoga. I got up as early as 6am to do Yoga practice and discovered Ashtanga Yoga. I was hooked. I liked how the physical benefits improved my health and was especially drawn to the chanting and the wonderful philosophy of Yoga. Two years of regular yoga practice later, after attending a Yoga retreat in Granada and a trip to Thailand, I took the leap and signed up to a Yoga teacher training course. This course would become what I felt to be a challenge and reward at the same time, learning and memorising sancript and Yoga philosophy, finding self acceptance and realising that it is ok if you cannot do every single yoga pose. This course has given me real confidence to teach yoga in the community and share this feeling of excitement. YOGA FOR KIDS My style of kids Yoga classes is drawn to delivering fun and creative yoga sessions. Yoga journeys are a vital part of these classes, where kids can nourish their creativity using movement in their body to tell a story while breath work helps the kids feel more calm. Having completed my Kids Yoga Teacher training with Rainbow Kids Yoga in London, I quickly realised how passionate I am about working with kids of all ages to help them reach their full potential. YOGA FOR ADULTS My style of classes is drawn to delivering dynamic sequences with focus on flow and restorative styles of yoga where students can focus on deep relaxation and connection of movement with breath. I love sharing that inner work with others and for them to leave feeling happier at ease and with a smile. I strongly believe that everyone can do yoga in the right supportive environment. I am a registered RYT-200 Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Having completed my training at Meadowlark Yoga Edinburgh in 2015 my style of yoga is distinctively Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow influenced. BABY MASSAGE My baby massage courses are about providing quality time between parent and baby, relaxing and enjoying special time together. Parent and baby are introduced to baby massage, loving touch, gentle stretches and songs. I work with you to promote confidence, help you learn how to communicate with your baby and understand their cues of responsiveness in a nurturing and stress free environment.I am a qualified Baby Massage Instructor, having completed my training with the Scottish School of Child and Baby Massage and an accredited Massage Therapist with the Scottish School of Massage where I obtained Diplomas in both, Sport and Remedial Massage as well as Indian Head Massage. PREGNANCY YOGA As a Pregnancy Yoga teacher I am extremely passionate about the holistic mind and body benefits yoga can bring to support women through birth and after. I believe yoga is for everyone and is a great support to help mums to de-stress, connect with others, share our journeys and become part of a community. Pregnancy Yoga classes are a fantastic way to nourish our bodies and physically and emotionally improve our health and wellbeing. I am currently running weekly classes in Pregnancy Yoga where I offer a relaxed and calming space for women to practise and provide practical tools to support women during their pregnancy and birth. MUM & BABY YOGA My style of Post natal Mum & Baby Yoga classes is focused on supporting women after birth. It is a great way to nourish our bodies physically and emotionally, as well as improving health and well being. I especially focuses on breath awareness, building strength and flexibility and creating a safe space for women to bond with their baby. I am currently running weekly classes in Mum & Baby Yoga where I offer a relaxed and calming space for women to practice yoga with their baby and supportive space for women to meet together and share experiences.
