Tutor Matching Service (TMS) was created to promote student success with the core mission of increasing access to one-on-one education in higher education. Since our founding in 2008, we have expanded our purpose to now be able to curate the best technology options for learning centers, tutors, and students, helping to enhance the tutoring experience, in-person and online. We are established partners in the learning center community, partnering with over 200 colleges and universities, as well as being long-time members of the National College Learning Center Association (NCLCA) and the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). TMS’s Web-Based Tutor List CONNECTING STUDENTS TO TUTORS, OR “THE BEGINNING” TMS was originally piloted and financially sponsored by a handful of university tutoring centers (learning centers), career centers, and student governments including IUPUI (an Indiana University campus), Caltech, and NYU-Polytechnic (now NYU Tandon). At many colleges and universities across the country there are gaps in the free tutoring services available to students. This can be due to limited space or hours and tight budgets. Often there aren’t tutors available for students in upper level courses in departments such as physics, chemistry, engineering, finance, and foreign languages. Tutor Matching Service helps solve these problems by providing a safe, simple environment for connecting students in-person and online with private tutors across a wide variety of subjects. Also, colleges and universities often get frequent phone calls from parents of high school students looking for high quality, inexpensive peer tutors for their children. Parents want to find tutors for a variety of situations, from the student who is having difficulty passing algebra, to the AP student who needs a tutor and role model. Local brick and mortar tutoring companies charge $65-$95/hr, which is not affordable for the majority of families. By using TMS, learning centers can support their local community by allowing their certified tutors to tutor privately in a safe and secure way. Tutor Essentials ENHANCING TUTOR’S SKILLS, OR “NEXT STEPS” After increasing access to tutoring for students across the country, TMS recognized a need for a simple yet effective tutor training program that could be provided to their school partners. TMS partnered with Purdue University to develop Tutor Essentials, which is being used by learning centers across the country to enhance their tutor training program. It is a College Reading and Learning Center endorsed, self-paced, and the only complete online tutor training course that counts for 4 hours of CRLA Level 1 ITTPC Certification. GoBoard ONLINE TUTORING FOR EVERYONE, OR “WHERE WE WENT NEXT” After many years of connecting students and tutors for online tutoring sessions, TMS decided to develop their own online platform that met the growing demand for an exceptional online tutoring experience. GoBoard is a first-in-its-class online tutoring platform that combines video conferencing, an interactive canvas, and educational tools like a graphing calculator to create a highly engaging online tutoring session. It even tracks the hours for reporting purposes and records all sessions in a secure administrative panel. It has been thoroughly tested by over 60+ learning centers and is for higher education learning centers to utilize in their day to day operations. Study Edge WHEN STUDENTS NEED A LITTLE MORE HELP, OR “WHERE WE ARE GOING” While there are hundreds of excellent tutors available on TMS, students often need additional academic support to access on their own outside of the classroom or tutoring session. To fill in this gap in support, Tutor Matching Service is excited to introduce a new resource to learning centers- Study Edge. Study Edge is the best option out there for 24/7 academic support in historically challenging courses. Study Edge provides engaging, to-the-point video content, practice problems, quizzes, and helpful PDF study guides for college courses, all delivered through easy-to-use web and mobile apps. Study Edge resources are highly effective at supporting students with often challenging material. The content is aligned with the most commonly used textbooks, including OpenStax. Study Edge can be used by learning centers as an extra resource for their tutors, in conjunction with, or as a digital substitute, for Supplemental Instruction (SI), or just as an additional support for their students. We are a youth and sports organisations who seek to improve the welfare and wellbeing of all children and young people through organised football/sport training and competitive games, education and social activities of all kinds.Clasford Stirling MBE was invited to establish a youth football team on the Broadwater Farm estate in Tottenham in 1979, which he duly did and called it Broadwater Farm United. Due to his personal commitment and consistency, two key ingredients for success, that first ‘team’ eventually turned into Broadwater Sports & Football Academy, which is still going but with a rebranding to it’s new name, London Elite Sports & Football Academy, which was founded and established by his son, Jude Stirling. As a youth and community advocacy organisation, it has been incredibly successful, supporting several generations of young people against all the odds, to reach their full potential. Clasfords example of care, discipline and clear mentorship as a strong role model, has attracted other skilled volunteer coaches and workers around him, who are also simply motivated to help young people and their parents to understand the transforming principles of great teamwork and cooperation. London Elite are now key providers within Haringey of youth provision projects that target those young people who are struggling against the adverse effects of poverty and low societal expectation, that can often lead young people into anti-social behaviours that are not good for either their own health and wellbeing, or those around them, especially parents who do not know how to overcome the powerful influences of peer pressure exerted upon their children. London Elite have established a model programme to address this vulnerability of young people, called ‘Off The Street, Less Heat’ aimed at providing a safe and secure ‘Drop-In’ place with a range of social and sport activities during late evening hours, in order to offer them alternative activities that are good for them and enhance their skills through training, education and mentoring. Equality has always been at the very heart of all that guides the way forward for Clasford and his team, with a vision of equal access to not only sport, but also education and all other facilities that are available to young people. London Elite, with the funding support of Nike, are now leaders in developing young women’s football, from the age of 10 and up, with our first team entry into a league, happening this season, which is very exciting for all concerned. London Elite exists and operates within a very diverse community and have the privilege of hosting and training children from many ethnic backgrounds, without discrimination, so all of their work is underpinned by the example and policies of the Football Association, especially in terms of promoting the anti-racist principles of their Respect agenda, which apply to not only the coaches, but to players, parents and spectators alike. London Elite’s vision for going forward, is to continue it’s good work and set a strong legacy plan for it’s continuation on into the future, laying the foundation of good strong ‘best practices’, so that anyone who joins the staff will know exactly what their role and aims are and how to achieve them in the best interests of the young people that they are supporting. There is also an idea to extend the vision to develop a one-stop shop for promoting job opportunities, interview training and entrepreneurial development. London Elite is governed as a non-profit company limited by guarantee, meaning that there are no profits to be taken out of any funding or income that the management team receive, with any excess of income over costs, having to be ploughed straight back into the work of the team in helping young people. The Rochester Grammar School is a high-performing secondary which is part of the TSA Trust where diversity is celebrated as we create a safe and inspiring place for children to learn; where their rights are respected and they are able to develop their talents and abilities to their full potential. We started our RRSA journey in September 2021 and have achieved the Bronze Right Respecting School Award (RRSA) and are now working towards achieving our Silver Award. The RRSA (Rights Respecting Schools Award) is awarded by Unicef. Unicef is the world’s leading organisation working for children and young people and their rights. In 1989, governments across the world agreed that all children have the same rights by adopting the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). These rights are based on what a child needs to survive, grow, participate and fulfil their potential. The Award recognises achievement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of a school’s planning, policies and practice. All children are taught about their rights at the Rochester Grammar School. Rights are the focus each week during form time with key discussion points and reflections activities. We also have a steering group where children come together to discuss their Rights. We celebrate our diversity as a school community as we endeavour to develop young people who are fully cognisant of their rights whilst respecting the rights of all members of our school community. As we work towards the SILVER accreditation we have: Weekly form assemblies where students use RRSA’s resources to explore the articles from the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. These are linked to mental health, online safety, identity or equality and other topics. Planned for each form to create their own Form Charter that encourages children to behave in a 'rights respecting' manner. Established a 'Steering Group' of adults and children who help to drive the programme across the school. This captures the voice of the child and adds to the important jobs our Student Leaders already do. Undertaken staff CPD to secure a commitment from the whole staff to the principles of the RRSA and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Conducted a planning review: We are in the process of reviewing the KS3 curriculum to embed issues and themes of the UN Convention across our subject areas so that the children visit and revisit important concepts throughout their learning journey.

Brittany's path led her through many experiences before focusing her work on the need for respect and humility in the amazing power, instinct, and normalcy of birth. Completing high school after her junior year with distinguished honors and a focus in visual art and writing , Brittany went on to study Literature at Temple University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and certificates in both writing and honors. She maintains membership with Phi Beta Kappa, a national academic honor society. Throughout college, Brittany worked for Trio Upward Bound, a national organization that prepares inner city high school students for college. In her role as tutor and counselor, she gained experience in dealing with several different ages from ninth through twelfth grade, understanding of differences in learning pace and ability, and comfort in leading group discussions and projects. Brittany went on to substitute teach for pre-school through eighth grade at Frankford Friends School, strengthening her abilities in areas including the facilitation of group activities, the development of all aspects of the person - physical, academic, spiritual, emotional, and social, and the mentoring of children of all different ages and backgrounds. In addition to her education career, Brittany has completed a mentorship training program which focuses on peaceful solutions to conflict through listening, reflection, and understanding and the development of counseling skills. She attended a Birth Works three day workshop where she gained skills and techniques helpful in facilitating childbirth classes and providing labor assistance. She has also completed birth doula training by both DONA International and Birth Arts International. Brittany is a Birth WorksTM certified childbirth educator, a DONA certified birth doula, a certified breastfeeding counselor with Nursing Mothers Alliance, and a Certified Lactation Counselor through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. She has also completed birth doula training with Birth Arts International. She also holds a Rebozo certification from Wise Birth Choices, L.L.C. Brittany continuously furthers her knowledge through regular attendance and facilitation at conferences, workshops, and lectures, in addition to her home studies, and her facilitation of workshops for clinical and non-clinical birth professionals. In an effort to make maternity care options available to all birthing people, Brittany volunteered her time in putting together the Philadelphia Guide to a Healthy Birth with Choices in Childbirth. Although the Philadelphia Guide is no longer in print, The National Guide is available online at www.choicesinchildbirth.org. Brittany has also been a frequent contributor to the Birth Works quarterly newsletter and wrote monthly for the e-newsletter, "Empowerment for Healthy Living," when it was published. Brittany has been a guest speaker on several pregnancy, postpartum, and health-related topics at businesses around the Philadelphia area, including Martindale's Natural Market in Delaware County, Shanti Yoga Shala and Nest, both in Center City Philadelphia, and the Expectant Parents Boot Camp at The Please Touch Museum. In the spring of 2011, Brittany organized and facilitated a free community screening of the documentary, "Food, Inc." She worked with the non-profit organization WomenCare organizing an event featuring world-renowned midwife Ina May Gaskin in May 2011. Blossoming Bellies has also been featured in the July 2011 issue of herbalist Susan Weed's ezine "Wise Woman Herbal Healing with Susun Weed." In May of 2014, Brittany had the honor of being the only childbirth educator and doula serving as a panelist at the Birth Works "Ask The Experts" event held in Cherry Hill, NJ where she discussed birth options and answered community members' birth-related questions aside several distinguished birth professionals, including obstetricians, academics, pediatricians, and midwives, from the greater Philadelphia area. She was also honored to be a presenter at ICAN's (International Cesarean Awareness Network) meeting on birth education options in the Philadelphia area in January of 2015. Brittany is also the creator of two dynamic workshops focused on understanding the pelvis, the baby's movements and positioning as they descend and rotate, and preventing and working through complications that arise from malpositioning, "Creating Space: Pelvic Dynamics, Fetal Positioning, and Use of the Rebozo" for birth professionals and "Moving Through Labor" for expectant parents. She has had the honor of facilitating her workshop, "Creating Space," for obstetrical, midwifery, and nursing groups around the country. She is a guest speaker at the University of Pennsylvania for their student midwifery program and a frequent speaker at international conferences including the Birth Works International Conference in October of 2016, the ICPA Freedom for Family Wellness Summit in March of 2018, the Evidence Based Birth Conference in September of 2019, the Midwifery Forward 2020 conference, the ICEA 2020 Virtual Conference, and the Utah Doula Association Virtual Mini-Conference in 2020. She also facilitates pelvic dynamics and fetal positioning workshops for Maternity Care Coalition and PALS. She continues to facilitate workshops for conferences and private practices around the country. Blossoming Bellies began with Brittany teaching classes in her home in South Philadelphia. Hi I’m Kate, I set up Sew Creative in 2016, however a lot of my customers are often surprised to hear that I haven’t always loved sewing - in fact I even paid one of my friends to sew my Year 7 Textiles project for me, then ditched the subject as soon as I was allowed in the following year! I eventually learnt to sew when I made the decision to study Fashion Design in Manchester. After my degree I worked in the fashion industry in both London and New York, before heading back up North to train to be a Textiles teacher and settle in Altrincham. Whilst teaching, I started to advertise sewing classes - it was originally just a way to earn a little extra money. I started on a table in Hobbycraft with a couple of old machines and some bits and pieces from my personal fabric stash. I sat there for several weeks, with no customers or interest, and was about to give up when Sue (now a member of staff!), my first ever customer, approached me asking if I’d teach her how to make her own patterns - and Sew Creative was born! Alex MANAGER Alex joined the Sew Creative team having left teaching in February 2020, just two weeks before the first National Lockdown! When she was a teacher, she taught social science, so sewing was a bit of a change! Alex sews most of her own clothes and can usually be found wearing at least one me-made item in store during the week. Alex teaches our adult classes as well as our teenagers. She is also the shop’s manager, so if you need anything, she is always happy to help! I'm almost 6ft tall so finding ready to wear trousers and dresses the right length has always been a challenge.Now I just make them to fit my body rather than the other way around!" Dawn TUTOR Dawn has been with us at Sew Creative for two years now and has become the heart and soul of the shop. Dawn is our resident neat-freak so she keeps us all nice and ship-shape. Dawn has been sewing for years and regularly makes herself gorgeous dresses and coats. Dawn can be found teaching our adults on a Tuesday and our Saturday classes. She is warm of heart and always up for a good natter! Jayne TUTOR Jayne joined Sew Creative in September 2020, in the midst of a Global Pandemic has has taken the rollercoaster ride like a true pro. Jayne’s career has been in lingerie design and she has worked with some of the biggest names in the biz! Jayne sews her won clothes, and loves making tailored trousers, she is always the picture of sophistication! Jayne works most weekdays and every other Saturday, teaching our kids and adult classes. She also teaches our Monday night adult lesson! George CHIEF EXECUTIVE George is the newest and most adorable member of the Sew Creative team. He’s not old enough to sew yet, but can often be found in the shop sporting a mum-made outfit. You’ll also find his full modelling portfolio on Instagram, where you are guaranteed a regular dose of cuteness. He keeps Eric and Dotty very busy and despite being so small, is always the centre of attention! We’re all convinced he’ll be the next Patrick Grant! Eric HEAD OF SECURITY Hi, I’m Eric. I can often be found guarding the front door at Sew Creative. While I might look big, tough and scary, I am actually quite a lovely chap. I love treats, cuddles, any food that you might be eating, and more cuddles. Please feel free to pick me up and cuddle me, instead of doing any sewing. I look forward to meeting you soon. Thank you. Dotty THE DUCHESS Hi, I’m Dotty. I am pretty shy, but if you’re quiet and gentle I will come for some cuddles. I can often be found sleeping in my basket, or following my Mum around - just to make sure that she’s still there! Lisa, Sue , Catherine and Liz can be found lending a helping hand in our kids and adults classes, alongside some of our teen sewers who give up their precious weekends to work with us! Musiversity is an online music teacher directory and video course platform where music teachers advertise their teaching services, and can upload and compile video courses, and then sell them through our marketplace. Users can browse the courses on our marketplace, or be sent directly to specific music courses on our site through direct links, and then purchase courses to learn from. Purchased courses can be accessed from within the Musiversity platform, so that users can view the video content on any device from any location. Users can also find music teachers, whether for local in-person lessons, or live online video lessons, and contact teachers in order to arrange these. 2. User Accounts Users can browse our website and marketplace without creating an account or logging into the platform, but for all other activities on Musiversity, including purchasing courses, accessing courses, and messaging teachers, users must first create a user account and be logged in to the platform. Creating a Musiversity account is free, and only requires a valid name and email address to be given, along with a password. Musiversity accounts are unique and individual, and must not be shared with other users. Account login details should be kept confidential and not shared with anyone. All accounts on Musiversity must be registered to a person over the age of 18. If acting on behalf of a child, then a parent or guardian must be the one who creates the account. In creating a Musiversity account, you are agreeing to the terms set out in this document. Accounts can be terminated at anytime from within your account profile. You will lose access to any courses you have purchased once your account is terminated. 3. Accessing Courses When a teacher creates and lists a course on the Musiversity platform, they are providing Musiversity with a licence to offer access to their course to our users. When a user accesses a course through our platform (whether it’s a paid or free course) Musiversity is granting that user a licence to access the course, and course materials. The user does not own the course, or course materials, in any way, and has no permission to sell the course materials, or access to them to any other person. Only the account holder may access the courses they have been granted a licence for. Most of the courses on Musiversity require payment to be granted access, but some are offered for free. In either case, once you have been granted access to a course, you will continue to have access to that course for the duration of your account with Musiversity, except in cases where, for legal reasons or otherwise, we are forced to remove a course from our platform for violating our terms. You may not reproduce, copy, re-sell, illegally download, or in any other way provide access to courses to anyone other than the account holder. 4. Payments & Refunds To be granted access to paid courses on Musiversity payments must be made through our online checkout. Musiversity uses Stripe to handle all payments. Payments are made in accordance with the prices set out on the course details page for each course, and must be paid in full before being granted access. We accept payments in the following currencies: USD, CAD, AUD, NZD, EUR, GBP. Once payment had been made you will have lifetime access to the course as long as your account remains active. If you’re not happy with your purchase, you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase, provided you have NOT completed more than 50% of the course in question, by emailing Musiversity directly with your refund request. If a refund request is made within the 30 day refund period AND your student course progress record shows that you have completed less then half of the course, the payment will be refunded in full to the card it was made on. In cases where refunds are given, access to the refunded course will be revoked. If a request is made outside of the 30 day refund period, or your record shows that you've viewed/completed more than 50% of the course, then no refund will given. Payments for our All-Access Subscription are non-refundable (see section 8 below). 5. Content & Behaviour All video content uploaded to Musiversity is the responsibility of the uploader and must adhere to our terms as set out on our Teacher Terms document. Any content that is found to be in breach of those terms will be removed from the platform, and the account may be closed or blocked. All users are responsible for any content that they create on the Musiversity platform, including their profile information, any reviews they leave for courses, messages they send through the platform, and any comments they leave on courses or blog posts. Any user who is found to be posting offensive, illegal, or inappropriate material will have the content removed, and will risk their account being blocked or deleted. 6. Copyright & Ownership All videos, and other content, uploaded to Musiversity remain the intellectual property of the creator of the content, and all copyrights are retained by the creator of the content. Musiversity does not own any of the content uploaded by our teachers. However, by uploading content to our platform you are authorising Musiversity to share this content with anyone, distribute it and promote it on any of our marketing channels, as well as giving us the right to modify and edit content as we see fit, for marketing or promotional purposes. 7. Becoming a Musiversity teacher If you are a music teacher or an experienced musician with knowledge to share, we invite you to join the team of Musiversity teachers, and create, upload, compile, and sell your course, or courses through our platform. You can also just list your teaching services on our directory, without needing to create and/or sell online courses. In order to become a Musiversity teacher you must agree to the terms set out in our Teacher Terms document. 8. All-Access Subscription (pilot scheme) We are currently in the process of setting up and testing a pilot scheme of a new All-Access subscription to Musiversity. This subscription will offer full, unlimited access to all the courses and content on the Musiversity platform for a single monthly subscription fee, including all current and future courses. Subscription payments will be taken monthly, and access to the Musiversity content will be available for the duration of an active subscription. Subscriptions can be cancelled at anytime from within your Musiversity account, and cancelled subscriptions will remain active until the end of the most recent billing period, when they will then be terminated. Once a subscription has been terminated, you will no longer have access to courses on the platform (except any courses you had purchased prior to creating your subscription). As this is a subscription service, and payment is made for the access to our platform, subscription payments are non-refundable. There are no refunds, full or partial, for cancelled subscriptions (expect where required by applicable laws). 9. Musiversity’s Rights Musiversity owns the Musiversity platform and service, including all related web properties and domains, social media accounts, and other accounts associated with the platform. Musiversity owns all content on our website that is created and posted by us, including the general website content, the legal terms and conditions, blog posts and courses which are created by Musiversity, and any other content of which Musiversity is the creator. Musiversity owns the rights to it’s logo, name, and other trademarks. You, as a user with or without an account, may not use our logo without our prior written permission.
