BETTERING LIVES BY LEARNING TOGETHER…’ Orange Psychology makes a difference to the lives of children and young people by using a collaborative and relationship-focused approach. We learn through listening and we develop ideas together, because we believe that the ‘whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts’. Our psychologists (including clinical, educational, counselling and forensic), ensure that the whole picture of the child or young person is created, working together with others to co-construct our understanding. We work systemically, using psychological formulation to put together the many ‘segments’ which make up the whole child. The whole ethos of Orange Psychology is underpinned by our ‘core values’ or ‘our segments’ which are; O – Outcome Orientated R – Reflective and Relationship-focused A – Approachable and Accessible N – Needs-led service G – Genuine E – Empathetic and Embracing The Orange Psychology Service Delivery Model is built around collaborative practice and operationalises the values (above) in the following ways; As a collective team, we work in an outcomes focused way from the start of our involvement. We share our learning together to improve our own professional practice. Our communication is reflective, open, creative and collaborative with teachers, children, young people, teachers and other professionals Our flexibility and openness to new ideas means we can learn together to further improve the service we provide. We spend time planning and listening to you so that we can put into practice creative and flexible psychology services. Orange Psychology will respond and adapt to what those needs are, by listening and learning together. The authentic partnerships we create really can ‘better lives by learning together’. We embrace ideas with openness and compassion, meaning that our practitioners can bring together the many ‘segments’ that can make for a better ‘whole’. THE WAY WE WORK We have a growing number of school contracts across the North, including Greater Manchester areas, Lancashire, and Yorkshire. Our psychologists work hard to offer a good quality bespoke service to ensure maximum effectiveness. We are highly organised and driven by the need to help schools, families and young people; We operate 2 or 3 term contracts with our school clients, to offer maximum flexibility across the school year We can provide Records of Involvement and/or high quality reports to support multi agency working or formal statutory processes We always work with parents and schools to gather the ‘whole’ picture of the child.

0 Comments I founded The Local Teachers Ltd in 2015, with the vision to make education more accessible and convenient locally. At the Local Teachers, we helped over 25,000 students in the last 8 years to boost their grades and help them go to their desired universities, we have fostered partnerships with 13 schools in London and 3 councils to help them support pupils with our intervention tuition programs in sciences, Mathematics and English. With that same vision and passion, I have founded Ezy Edtech Ltd to purchase assets as part of the liquidation of EzyEducation Ltd via a CVL to make quality education more accessible in different ways. That purchase transfers the rights of the EzyEducation website, courses, and high-quality book stocks of 10,000 with a commercial value of £5-10 per book to Ezy Edtech Ltd. The goodwill and support of ex EzyEducation employees has also been secured. Moreover, we have renewed all suppliers’ contracts such as the Zapper app, which makes more accessible our revision pocket booklets by pulling the interactive videos lessons, and quizzes from our platform to iOS and Android devices which increasingly more and more students are relying on for their revision routines. The EzyEducation platform and customer relationships benefited from £2.5m of investment and reinvested earnings. This means that Ezy Edtech bypasses the development costs usually associated with start-ups. The platform is currently used by over 150 school users (subscriptions of £200,000 in 2019 and £130,000 during 2021 (revenue decreased due to COVID19 exam cancellations). Although EzyEducation Ltd ceased trading on 14/12/2021 the platform has remained in use through this period with zero disruption for customers. Over this period, we had 188,543 sessions, 90,103 users, and 3.25 million hits. This continuation of user engagement is a clear indication of the success we can build on moving forward. With that strong foundation for success, here are our short-term objectives. At the present our most important objective is to secure renewals for the schools Minimise the service disruptions - renew contracts for all our suppliers and staff where possible. Improve our resources wherever necessary - such as creating more resources to make teachers’ life easier - in doing so, we will be complementing with PowerPoints lectures with the video lessons on the platform – so that teachers do not spend so much time and resources in creating lesson plans but rather focus on delivering and

Real-world maths is more crucial than ever to our everyday lives. It holds the keys to unlocking the solutions to a multitude of problems: simple to complex, local to global, large and small. By contrast, maths education is diverging more and more from today's and tomorrow's requirements of countries, industry, further education... and students. Unless we take harder, machine-computed maths back into the school curriculum, maths in education will continue on its ineffective downward spiral, destined for future failure—a future populated by bored and switched-off students, dissatisfied employers, bewildered governments, frustrated teachers and concerned parents. Aware of the increasing divergence between school and real-life maths for more than a decade, Conrad Wolfram believed the growing political impetus, emerging computing ubiquity and practicality of interface and implementation made 2010 the right time to start computerbasedmath.org. Conrad and his colleagues at Wolfram Research have been in a unique position at the epicenter of maths and its applications: using high-powered maths to develop the latest algorithms for Mathematica and Wolfram|Alpha software, employing mathematicians and other STEM specialists, supplying technology to the world's community of maths users and interacting with leading experts from all technical fields. That's not to mention involvement with thousands of universities, schools and independent courses worldwide. Wolfram Research really is the "maths company"—the organisation with the world's broadest perspective on maths and computation. It is with that perspective that CBM will change maths education for good. Computerbasedmath.org is a UK-registered company and aims to be self-supporting in delivering this fundamental change to maths education worldwide. Early projects have been established with the Estonian government, as well as in Sweden and Africa, and there is marked interest from many more governments and associated organisations like assessment authorities around the world. Thousands of schools are keen to get materials. Companies are interested not only in employee training but in associating their brand with better maths in schools. Computer-Based Maths is a long-term project. Conrad Wolfram believes it will take a minimum of 25 years to transform school maths worldwide, but that in the end, this change is inevitable. It will happen differently in each country; the first countries to make the change will likely gain the most advantage.

Brainnit

brainnit

London

Our parent company Brainnit was founded by a group of well-known academics, technocrats and creative wizards to provide quality education with the support of modern digital technology. We are a truly global company with a diverse workforce and offices in London, Dubai and India. This creative and academic fusion gave birth to Attaiin, a digital e-learning platform that combines world-class technology, academic learning and IGCSE assessment. Attaiin is a one-stop education solution with exciting video content, simulations, animations, lessons and assessments for all subjects. Our vision was to create a world-class digital teaching platform that would support and extend your child’s learning. Under the guidance of our expert academic team, who are natives of the UK, your child can confidently prepare for examinations to achieve their highest scores at IGCSE. Attaiin’s unique assessment module allows students to be assessed by expert teachers and IGCSE examiners. Attain covers all Key Stages of the British Curriculum from ages 5 to 18 This journey began because we wanted the best education for our children. We think your children deserve it too. We were tired of the education lottery where the quality of teaching could vary drastically within a school and mere luck decides if your child is placed with the best teachers. We were tired of The variable quality of teaching within schools A one-size-fits-all education model Students struggling with homework tasks Expensive private tuition Unimaginative and boring content Being unable to find native-English speaking tutors Our product works in harmony with your child. Today’s students are doing things differently from any previous generation. Did you know that most teenagers choose to study between 10.00 pm and midnight? The time when schools are closed and most of us have gone to bed. Students are choosing new ways to study and learn. They can watch Attaiin videos on their laptops or ipads at home or on their phones on the bus or walking to school. They can study their entire course through our content without even going to school. Whilst we are not replacing school, we do provide students with opportunities to learn that align with the up-to-date research on the teenage brain and lifestyle. Just because your son or daughter has double Chemistry at 8.00 am on a Monday morning, doesn’t mean to say they are in the right frame of mind to study ionic equations.

DMK Fundamentals - Skin Revision Treatments DMK believes the origin of any skin condition is a result of disharmony in the function of the skin. Using the principles of biochemistry, DMK has formulated a range of treatments and products that re-educate the skin. By matching formulations to the bodys own chemistry, the skin is induced to respond in a positive manner and heal itself. The DMK concept of REMOVE, REBUILD, PROTECT and MAINTAIN is simply about restoring balance and enhancing the skin to function optimally once again. Your DMK Fundamentals Skin Revision Treatment starts with a deep cleanse to rid your pores of dirt and cellular debris. The Remove process is further enhanced through the use of an exfoliating thermal gel that increases oxygenation to the tissues. Your therapist will then pre-heat with a powdered vitamin C serum to kick-start collagen production. This allows the amino acids in our signature enzyme masque to Rebuild. The ingredients penetrate beyond the surface to restore structural integrity and revitalise your skin at a cellular level. Your treatment ends with a series of products your therapists will prescribe to Protect and Maintain your newly revised skin. To achieve the best results, you must agree to follow this DMK Home Prescriptive regimen. Incorporating other retail brands that are not compatible with the DMK method will delay the progress obtained by the treatment. The new DMK Fundamentals kits include enough product for 1 professional treatment and a 30 day supply of home care products. While there may be no "magic bullet" that cures all, each kit provides you with everything you need to address age related, acne and pigmentation conditions. Age Management Reduces the appearance of minor pigmentation caused by age-related factors. This kit is particularly helpful in treating ageing skin showing signs of fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage. Follow the Home Prescriptive regimen to stimulate collagen and regulate cellular turnover. Acne Control DMK created this kit to help you balance oil production and ill bacteria. These products penetrate the pores to dry up existing acne while preventing further break outs. Use the enclosed ACU System to help you combat acne at home. Pigmentation Balancing Addresses passive and inflammatory pigmentation with this selection of innovative products. Used in conjunction with each other, these products rapidly reduce inflammation and suppress melanin productions over time.

defibshop

defibshop

Manchester

Defibshop was born in 2005. At this point people really did not know what a defibrillator was, despite it being common place in countries like America. If it was going to happen here in the UK we’d need to educate people about what an AED was, when they should be used, how important they were in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest, the impact of using one to the casualty and how easy they are to use whether you are trained or not. For many years it has been an uphill struggle to educate people about defibrillators. Common objections include “Is it law to have one?” and “we’ve never needed one so far so why should I buy one?”, but, after years of education in the importance of early CPR and defibrillation in the event of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), some changes in legislation, high profile incidents and saves by defibs such as Fabrice Muamba in 2012 and Christian Erikson in 2021, as well as the introduction of defibrillator training within workplace first aid courses, these units are now a natural extension of first aid provision. Today we have a highly knowledgeable team working to ensure the correct defibrillator is placed in the correct environment. All defibs deliver a shock of course, but it is important to take the environment into account as models vary and offer different functions. We have also been working with the British Heart Foundation to promote The Circuit, the UK’s national defibrillator network that is linked directly to the 999 ambulance response service and enables the operator to send a caller to the nearest available registered defibrillator, so potentially saving valuable minutes and saving more lives. Please register your unit if you have not done so already. We continue to put pressure on the Government to pass the proposed Automated External Defibrillator Public Access Bill to legislate defibrillators that are accessible to all in public places. Without this, people are going to continue to die from sudden cardiac arrest because there wasn’t a unit close enough to hand. That could happen to any one of us. After you've purchased your life-saving AED, our commitment doesn't end there. As part of our FREE pad and battery reminder service, we will contact you when your consumables are due to expire, so you have plenty of time to replace them and ensure your device is always ready for use.

Established in 1994 primarily as a company dedicated to promoting tourism and the international education and cultural advancement of the Nigeria child, who at this time had become subject to the ignominious challenges of obtaining international visas from foreign consulates in Nigeria, we soon metamorphosed into a credible Education Placement Agency in 2002. Suffolk County Council

Workers at ABP’s Port of Ipswich are plugging in to an e-bike trial scheme with Suffolk County Council. The council’s Way To Go Suffolk team, which helps people to travel sustainably, has launched a scheme for businesses where employees are encouraged to ditch the car and try out an electric bike free of charge. Employees can choose to trial commuting for a week at a time with some of the bikes, whilst others are used as pool bikes allowing staff to pop out at lunchtime for a break and some exercise. The Port of Ipswich is the first organisation to get involved with the scheme, having taken delivery of eight e-bikes for a trial period of three months. The bikes are supplied by e-bike rental provider Hurrecane. They have a range of around 50 miles and, other than punctures, are covered with a call-out service for any breakdowns and repairs. They are different to conventional bikes as they are powered by a battery to assist the rider, increasing the distance that someone can cycle. The council is initially looking to work with organisations that have at least 50 employees and are based in a large town environment. Councillor Alexander Nicoll, Suffolk County Council Deputy Cabinet Member for Transport Strategy, said: “Cycling is ideal for short journeys in an urban environment, where we need to reduce car use if we are to address congestion and air pollution. “Excellent schemes such as this will help encourage people out of the car, freeing up road space for those who really need it and improving the environment for all of us.” Paul Ager, Divisional Port Manager for East Anglia of ABP said: “We are delighted to be the first organisation to partner with Suffolk County Council on this trial e-bike scheme. “ABP is committed to reducing emissions, as well as supporting the health and wellbeing of all employees. “With the use of the eight bikes, we have the opportunity to test alternative, greener ways of getting to work and staying healthy.” For more details of the scheme email the Way To Go team at Suffolk County Council at thewaytogosuffolk@suffolk.gov.uk PICTURE CAPTION: Paul Ager, left, Divisional Port Manager for East Anglia for Associated British Ports, and Councillor Alexander Nicoll with Port of Ipswich e-bike scheme users Andris Abitkins, Dean Trigg, and Richard Lungley.
