Hello, I'm Dan, the founder and candle maker at Aroma Quartz. I am so excited to be hosting a candle-making workshop. I will share hints and tips about the basics of candle making in this step-by-step class, where you will have the opportunity to smell a selection of oils and blend your own to create your own personal scent and have the tough decision of naming your scent! At the end of the course, you will pour two candles in total: 1 x 180ml and 1 x 60ml. During the course, there will be a selection of lovely treats and some fizz! 🍾

Hello and welcome. My name is Jacqueline Rolls and I am an artist/sculptor who creates using willow and other natural materials. Being a self-taught artist with experience gained over many years. I create work using a variety of different techniques, many of which I have discovered myself. My creations are created with materials that I have either grown myself, purchased from other growers, gathered or salvaged myself. There is something quite special about working with a material that was once a living thing, the desire to connect and work with the materials that I use often feels as if I am breathing new life into my creations. Working in this way is akin to drawing and painting in many ways, layering, shaping, constraining and feeling free to express me to make mistakes and new discoveries. I sometimes incorporate other materials into my work including metal when it is needed e.g for bird legs or to give it strength for a public artwork that needs to be secured or needs additional strength. I also love sharing my passion for creating with others and so as well as creating work to sell I also provide my own range of workshops which are available via my workshop page I also work with many different organisations providing activities for public art /community engagement projects as well as providing private and bespoke activities for more details look at the relevant pages in the menu above.

We are very excited to be offering you this workshop, a collective exploration into our womb consciousness through meditation and painting. You can expect an incredibly nurturing, held, loved and supported circle of sisterhood. We will have beautiful and powerful meditations guided by the wonderful Georgie Catling, Author, Creatrix and Womb Alchemist and the creator of the Yoni Oracle cards @yonioracle www.yonioraclecards.com Together we will create a painting from our womb consciousness on a huge piece of canvas on the floor, guided by Holly Woodnutt a visionary womb artist, transpersonal womb art therapist and menstruality mentor @sineadholly_wombportalstudio www.sineadhollywoodnutt.com You do not need any painting experience whatsoever, as you shall be guided throughout the process. It is truly incredible what happens when we paint this way! Carl Jung coined the phrase 'collective unconsciousness' to describe how we all connect to each other in many ways when we are in the same room. Inspired by this, and the results from womb painting and womb work, Holly has coined the phrase 'collective womb unconsciousness' to describe when we sit together how our wombs start to communicate. This is what we shall witness together when we paint and it is incredibly powerful in so many ways. At the end of the day the womb painting will be cut up and you shall all get a piece to take home with you, forever bonded and connected through the magnificence of our wombs.

Welcome! I'm so exciting to be teaching you here- let me show you what works!  Are you sick of trying to piece together information from various sources online on how to make candles only to find it doesn't work? People come to me all the time after trying and failing at getting the correct wax, wicks and fragrance oils to work together effectively. It is easy to get right but also easy to get wrong. Let me show you my techniques.  You're going to learn all about how to measure the candle wax, choose the correct wick size (which is a minefield) and most importantly choosing your fabulous scents.  I do work and teach with soy wax and we are a vegan company.  I have run in-person candle workshops for over 7 years welcoming thousands of people from around the country. I have adapted my in person teaching to online courses I'm delighted to serve around the world now in 16 countries!  My business began from my kitchen table over 10 years ago, making candles for family then friends asked if I could teach them so I started running classes round my kitchen table which eventually expanded to a studio a year and a half later.  I create Private Label Candles for Luxury Hotels across Scotland and London, and work with clients such as Waldorf Astoria, Porsche, Novotel and Pullman.
