The Postgraduate Medical Education department (PGME) provides the infrastructure
and support to facilitate the education, training and continuing development of
health professionals at St Richard’s, Worthing and Southlands Hospitals as part
of University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.As part of the Professional
Support Unit, the Specialist Clinical Communication & Linguistic Services offers
courses, RCA Practice and individual sessions for all healthcare professionals
working in multi-cultural London and KSS. Communicating effectively and
confidently with patients and colleagues is key to providing an excellent health
service and leads to increased professional fulfilment. Patients respond to and
are satisfied by healthcare professionals and teams who communicate well.
