In our 30 years of service, we have delivered Careers Guidance support to over 100,000 people, delivered 40,000 accredited qualification, and offered enterprise support to 1,550 businesses. EBCF Ltd is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee established in 1992 by Her Magesty’s Government mandated by the Secretary of State to establish locally managed community capacity building provision via East Birmingham Taskforce (1988). The Company established three main areas of focus, these being, Jobs, Enterprise, and Training. The business operated under the JET Shop brand for many years in the heart of East Birmingham and during the last 10 years successfully branched out to other inner-city areas of Birmingham and regionwide to meet contractual obligations and strategic objectives. EBCF has delivered jobs, enterprise, and training related projects through Local, Central and European government funding, and including other philanthropic agencies. We are accredited with all leading exam boards and hold direct claim status (DCS) for many qualifications from entry level to Level 6 in various vocational areas. Our Careers Advisers are in-house trained and qualified to Level 4 and 6 with wealth of knowledge and experience to enable our customers to make a smooth transition from learning to work. Our 30 years of local in-community delivery enables us to have a qualified perspective on what will work and what will not when engaging local communities. Our success to date has been possible by investing in local communities, establishing partnerships with likeminded organisations, and levering resources of benefit to our beneficiaries.

Applicants for a Goods Vehicle Operator’s Licence or Passenger Carrying Vehicle Operator Licence must show that they are ‘professionally competent’ or that they employ a transport manager who meets the requirements. Someone will be considered ‘professionally competent’ when they have passed the examination for the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) conducted on behalf of the Department for Transport (DfT). Transport Manager CPC as a qualification is a legal requirement in the LGV and PCV industry of the operator licensing system for both Standard National and International licences. The course we offer is run through OCR examination (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA) examine board. Although the syllabus is mandated, the training course, the format and support of candidates we offer can be adjusted to offer best support and improve their chances of passing. With our Transport Manager CPC course, you will benefit from: a personalised industry recognised qualification which gives the holder a transferable skill which is recognised throughout the EU. a more flexible course option which cater to operational needs and individual learning styles by offering the chance to study over a longer period and so take time to absorb the knowledge. If there are any issues with the course or subject matter, the learners have more time to receive tutor support and so increase the chances of a first time pass. in house option (allowing you to have 4 or more members of staff trained and prepared for the exam at the same time) at your premises, giving you greater flexibility to schedule the course at your convenience and around your business needs. more staff with greater knowledge base so better able to run a compliant and efficient transport operation.
