I have scoliosis and since I was 14 I went to the physiotherapist every week to improve my posture and reduce my back pain. I lived many years abroad as a humanitarian worker. I started my journey with yoga in India in 2009, which changed my life. At that time, I was living in Chennai and to take care of my back pain, I took private yoga classes for 2 years. Thanks to my teacher, I no longer needed to go to the physio, I had my practice to manage my pain. I did my first teacher training in 2012 at the Sivananda Ashram in Orléans. When I started teaching, people with different pathologies came to me, and I was afraid of hurting them, or to do the wrong think. I then began my journey in anatomy with Blandine Calais Germain and her team in 2013. In June 2017, I was one of the very first Yoga teachers to receive her Anatom'Yoga diploma (more than 300 hours of training in anatomy applied to Yoga). My dissertation focused on the link between the spine (obviously) and breathing. My other anatomy teachers are Leslie Kaminof (New York) author of the Bestseller Yoga Anatomy and Thomas Myers (USA) author of the very famous Anatomy Trains and fascia specialist. Today I deepen my knowledge by following personalities such as Gil Hedley (Dissection and Fascia - US), Robert Schleip (fascia research in Germany), Julian Baker (Functional Fascia- UK) and Jaap Van Der Wall (Embriologist - NL).

The only child of his parents, he grew up in Sutton, Surrey. He first attended Blue Firs nursery and then on to Collingwood School in Wallington, Surrey. Tobi, as he was known to his friends, excelled at Collingwood making many friends and participating in all aspects of school life. He learnt how to play a variety of musical instruments including the recorder, piano, drums and the cello. He participated in several school concerts at venues such as Fairfield in Croydon and The Royal Albert Hall, London. He then went on to Whitgift School for boys, South Croydon for his secondary school education. He excelled academically obtaining 6 A stars and 5 A’s for his O levels. From an early age he had an aptitude for numbers, he subsequently became an excellent mathematician achieving A star in GCSE Mathematics a year early. Whitgift School gave him the opportunity to further develop his musical skills. He studied music for GCSE and continued playing both the Cello and Drums. He was a member of the Whitgift school String Symphonia and other groups. He represented the school on many occasions in concerts. He was working towards his Grade 7 in Drums and Grade 5 in Cello at the time of his early departure.

Our studio offers the simplicity of alignment based yoga in an environment devoted to our community. We have classes 7 days a week and offer ongoing beginner series for students wanting to learn more about yoga. Class Descriptions Vinyasa Flow : Vinyasa is a movement based class. Yoga postures are connected with the breath in a creative and flowing sequence. The classes are deigned to strengthen balance, awareness, flexibility and range of motion. Modifications will be given for varying levels. Expect to laugh and have fun, no perfection required. Some knowledge of yoga might be helpful but doesn’t mean you can’t come and give it a try. Flow and Go: This one hour class will pack it all in to get you out the door in time for your other activities. Expect to flow and generate some heat. Suitable for all levels.

The Islamic Finance Council UK (UKIFC) is a specialist advisory and development body focused on promoting and enhancing the global Islamic and ethical finance industry. The organisation was launched in 2005 by a group of like-minded professionals who sought to make a contribution to the development of the new and exciting Islamic finance industry. The founding directors, comprising a banker, an accountant and a lawyer, recognised that it was not within the mandate of their current businesses to invest resources into growing this young and emerging sector. The idea was conceived to establish a not-for-profit organisation which could provide a formal platform for them and others to dedicate their time and expertise, on a pro bono basis, to drive the sector forward. The initial priority of the UKIFC was to support the expansion of the UK consumer retail market where the existing infrastructure was not considered adequate for the Muslim minority population. At the global level the organisation sought to contribute by developing pioneering capacity building programmes for Shariah scholars and encouraging improvements in regulatory policy. Wildcats Theatre School is a theatre school based in Stamford with classes across the South Lincolnshire, Rutland and Peterborough areas. The school offers part time classes to those aged 2-16, children's parties and entertainment and a full programme of educational holiday activities. The school have excellent pass rates in LAMDA (London Academy for Music and Dramatic Arts) Musical Theatre and Acting examinations. At Wildcats ‘Every child is an individual’ - with an emphasis on building confidence and self esteem as well as performing arts skills. Wildcats holds ‘Recognised School Status’ with CDET ‘Council for Dance Education and Training’ and has won numerous awards in the local community. Wildcats is all about having fun, making friends, developing confidence and being part of an amazing team of children, young people and adults who are part of the school. Our students come from every possible performing arts background - whilst some have experience on the stage, others have enjoyed singing, dance or drama at home - but for some, it is their first taste of the world of performing arts. Whatever a child's ability or experience they are welcome at Wildcats - we will work with each individual child to develop and achieve their own potential. We also welcome children who are looking for new ways to help increase confidence in school and everyday life. The term Workie Ticket is a Geordie colloquialism, which means someone who likes to push one’s luck- a chancer or a cheeky trouble-maker. When JoJo Kirtley was a young lass, her Grandad Joe would call her, “a proper little workie ticket” and the nick-name stuck. So, when thinking of a name for her theatre company, it seemed the perfect choice and in 2017, Workie Ticket Theatre was founded. Our mission is to shake things up, be bold, push our luck within the theatre world and empower people through our work. JoJo Kirtley Founder & Co-Artistic Director “It’s hard being a woman in terms of what is happening in the current climate, but also I think there is a gap in the market for what we do and how we do it- working with women and encouraging them through theatre to tell their stories. Now is the time to speak up and speak out.” A writer, producer, facilitator and founder of Workie Ticket Theatre Company, JoJo Kirtley has been working for over a decade to create real social impact through theatre. Her work has been performed at The Lowry, Contact Theatre, The Exchange, (North Shields), Live Theatre and the 24:7 Theatre Festival. She is passionate about developing work within local communities to create a platform and raise awareness of issues that affect women in the North East region. JoJo is also a qualified teacher with a MA in Theatre Studies. She balances running Workie Ticket with being a mother and working for various women's organisations in the North East.

I’ve always loved the British countryside and have been foraging for wild foods for many years now and have a built up a good knowledge of native British trees and plants. My interest in traditional herbal preparations started with me making ointments for myself and my partner. We run a bushcraft company and consequently spend much of our time outdoors. We’re often getting bit & stung but neither of us wanted to put DEET on our bodies. So I did a little research to find out if any of the many native wild plants we find in our ancient woodland and surrounding hedgerows and fields would help. From this initial research I made some plantain ointment. And it really worked, so I made some more. We also get the odd cut so I made yarrow ointment, and that worked as well! Then friends and family started to ask for the ointments, followed by creams. Then customers on our bushcraft courses started to ask for some and so I made some for them. And it’s spiralled from there. I hope you like my herbal products as much as they all do! I make my herbal products using plants that are native to the British Isles. I collect them all myself so that I know what’s picked and can ensure that it’s done sustainably. The bee’s wax I use is sourced from a charity working with refugees. I’ve worked as a nurse for 30 years and more recently completed a Diploma in Herbal Medicine, recieving a distinction.

The idea of The Nile Language School came from Egyptian families hoping to teach their children the Arabic language the same way as we learn in our home countries with the integration of English culture and language. Our children are deprived of the ability to learn the Arabic language once a week for two hours which is not enough for them to become fluent in the language. Additionally, parents at home may not have time to practise the language with their children; the lack of experience can lead to children feeling unmotivated to learn Arabic. We are planning to take the students on an educational trip in the near future to consolidate their knowledge by completing different activities; visiting museums to link English and Arabic culture together. Due to the pandemic we was able to provide lessons online due to the inability to conduct face-to-face lessons. This received many positive comments we will continue to give the option of online lesson whilst also providing the option of face-to-face lessons. This means students from all around the UK can join classes. We are based in Manchester but our school teach students from all different in the UK and outside of the UK. We provide lessons begging from Reception to A-level as we are a qualified centre to give GCSE and A-Level qualifications. We also teach Arabic for non-native speakers. We teach the Egyptian syllabus and welcome all backgrounds to join our school.
