Although he is a full time employee of Governors’ Camp they have generously appointed him to be our local community officer and he regularly meets with the schools, students and community and reports back to the Trustees. It would be very difficult for us to operate without his hard work and dedication. A Trustee visits the local community twice a year and establishes what the needs and problems, if any, are. The Trustees meet on a regular basis and decide on the work, funding and spending of the charity. All funds raised are used to support the schools and local community. Please note that no funds are used to meet any overheads or salaries in running the charity. The directors and trustees work without any remuneration or salary.

Our purpose is to provide a wonderful education and improve the life chances of all the children and young people in our Trust. We provide strong challenge and support to our Academies and work together in our aim of ensuring success for all. As a Trust we truly value the success of every child and young person and we place the sharing of excellent education practice at the core of this value. Professional development, challenge and support are at the heart of ensuring our staff can all reach their own personal bests for the benefit of the children and young people. Our Trust benefits significantly from the variety of schools within the Trust, enabling staff to benefit greatly from the opportunities we have for collaborative working. Mount Sackville remembers 160 years of Cluny Education in Ireland Mount Sackville remembers 160 years of Cluny Education in Ireland Mount Sackville remembers 160 years of Cluny Education in Ireland md3.jpgMD5.jpgMD6.jpg Saturday the 12th of December, 2020 marks the 160th anniversary of the Sisters of St Joseph of Cluny in Ireland. We wish to acknowledge the contribution and achievements of the Sisters who have been synonymous with the education of young women in Ireland for many generations. The order, founded in France in 1807 by Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey, has been instrumental in the education of thousands of young women as well as providing a novitiate for those who received God’s calling. In recent years they have also been involved in providing nursing care for the elderly. “ We have been asked to go to Ireland to teach the poor and the well -to- do. I have been assured that we could do much good there. If such be the will of God, I agree to this foundation with all my heart”. Blessed Anne Marie wrote the above in 1850. However, it was to be ten years before the congregation would set foot on Irish soil. From the time the penal laws ended many bishops encouraged religious orders to come to Ireland. The Ireland of 1860 was very different from today. Irish land was owned by landlords who played a pivotal role in shaping the rural fabric of the country and landlord–tenant relationships came to dominate the mid-Victorian period.

Wild Moon Wellbeing

I’m Jane, a mother to three wonderful children, from Mid Wales, a fully insured and certified Reiki Master and Energy healer, Shamanic practitioner and lover of the moon, nature, music and dancing! Wild Moon Wellbeing was something that was born several years ago as I was going through my Reiki Master training, with my guides helping to show me a way to bring my work out into the world, to support and empower women. But first I had to begin with myself. I have spent the last decade and more, on a deep exploration of finding different ways to support my family’s and my own wellbeing, taking us from just surviving to thriving. Developing a deeper understanding and connecting to the cycles of nature; the moon, seasons, menstrual cycle and life cycles has been hugely transformative particularly in my relationships, creativity, energy levels and general wellbeing. I love sharing this work and seeing hugely positive impact it has on people’s lives. A mother for over twenty years, and mother of three, I have a broad understanding of the issues that mothers can face today; particularly for parents of children with additional and complex needs. I know the importance of giving mothers space to be heard + seen, to have space to themselves, to recover and adjust and a little time to re-discover who they are again. And also that parenting is ever evolving… just when you think you know what you’re doing, there’s something new to learn just around the corner!
