Baby Swimmers & Swimmers Academy - Swimming Lessons

baby swimmers & swimmers academy - swimming lessons

Pudsey

Baby Swimmers was founded in Yorkshire in 2004 by Tracy Margo after attending similar classes with her first baby. She found them so beneficial and enjoyable that she was inspired to set up her own classes to teach little ones water safety skills, and their parents the enjoyment of bonding with their baby in the water. From just one small class, today we teach over 500 children every week across North & West Yorkshire through our team of incredibly talented and passionate swim teachers. And in 2019, we were thrilled to be crowned winners of the What’s On 4 Kids ‘Most Loved Sport or Physical Activity award’. There are lots of reasons why baby swimming is good for your baby (and you, too!). You can read more about the benefits of baby swimming, and why it’s important to get them happy and confident in the water as soon as possible. Here at Baby Swimmers, we understand that children develop differently, which is why all our lessons are child-led to ensure little ones are taught and developed at their own pace. Once your child is older and confident in the water they’ll progress to our Swimmers Academy, where we’ll focus on improving their stroke technique, stamina and survival skills, including lifesaving awards. Our mission is to get children in the water and confident as soon as possible, so whatever your child’s age or ability, we’ve a class that’s just right for them. Sing and play through our structured awards programme, and see your little one progress to a confident swimmer! We are ambitious in our goals and the way in which we help those affected by domestic abuse. To tackle the root cause of domestic abuse we work directly with individuals who are being abusive. We make it our mission and our focus to identify the complexities behind violent, coercive and controlling behaviour to end the cycle of domestic abuse and reduce repeat victimisation. Too often the value of a perpetrator led approach is overlooked in favour of victim services due to the lack of evidence and lack of funding. Our decades of experience working with perpetrators, and subsequent results, has reinforced the belief that people can change. We have access to, and intelligence on, perpetrators outside of criminal justice that no other agencies have, enabling us to measure success rates as well being the first to intervene to ensure victim safety. We know that responding to domestic abuse is a challenge across all frontline services and we can’t do this alone. We work with a range of stakeholders across the voluntary and statutory sector to deliver what we know works. We are fortunate to have excellent partnerships with those sharing our passion to make a difference, no matter how hard it seems. We strongly believe the current criminal justice response to offenders needs reviewing. If we are to address the vulnerabilities associated with offending , and ultimately reduce offence rates, it requires a significant shake up. To that end we are not afraid to test new approaches evident in our innovative criminal justice interventions and the programmes we offer young adult offenders to consider their choices. We are currently exploring a trauma informed response to working with females in the criminal justice system.

The company was created to provide the electrical industry with products of the highest certified quality through carefully selected stockist partners across the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East. We give each item within the Premspec group product divisions a duty of care and a level of detail that the industry deserves. This ensures that our incredibly high standards in quality are sustained throughout the entire range. A testimony to this is the Intertek certification that is held by every item that we manufacture here at the Premspec group. This means that our products have met the criteria of the highest and most respected testing organisation available. At PGL we have a multitude of brands that are all run independently with their own dedicated staff and focus. Two of whom are considered among the market's best available products. Ascot Heating, a now well-established brand within the renewable heating market, has seen awards and accreditations in the last few years that its competitors do not. Whilst Verso has gone to new heights thanks to its incredible forward-thinking approach to the traditional domestic electrical market. The Miller Foundation

London

The Miller Foundation is committed to investing our resources to give children living within these high-need neighborhoods the opportunity to flourish, develop, and reach their full potential. Foundation funding will be primarily directed to programs that address issues within our three focused program areas that impact children in these identified vulnerable neighborhoods of greater Long Beach. Long Beach, the 7th largest city in California, is on one hand a city of great resources: culturally rich, boasting beautiful ecological features, and home to esteemed higher educational institutions. On the other hand, it is a city of great needs: facing high levels of poverty and its multiple effects, environmental pollution, and rising housing costs. Over the years, Long Beach has become “a tale of two cities,” where certain neighborhoods are characterized by the benefits and resources of affluence and other neighborhoods are bearing the brunt of low incomes, decreased resources, and the challenges of communities of poverty. *Slides & facts courtesy of the Long Beach Community Action Partnership, LBCAP.org Long Beach’s areas of affluence—concentrated primarily on the east side of Long Beach– are characterized by high annual median family incomes, longer life expectancy, higher employment levels, and overall community safety. Children have access to a vast array of resources that promote their development including high-quality schools and after-school enrichment programs of diverse types, excellent access to health care, and safe spaces to grow up and recreate. Areas of critical need are concentrated primarily within North, West Central, and Southwest Long Beach. These neighborhoods experience high levels of poverty, exposure to environmental pollutants, and low levels of educational attainment. Families and children in these areas face great barriers in accessing health care resources, support in early education and educational attainment, and affordable arts programming. These neighborhoods also contain the largest concentration of children in the city.

My WordPress BlogWhat is Sustainable Performance? Sustainable performance is about building up your energy, and your resources, over time, instead of burning out, missing family time, or feeling misaligned with your values, or anything that matters to you. It’s about making small steps but regular progress towards your goals to attain a stronger sense of achievement & contentment overall. Sustainable Performance is about knowing yourself and letting your biology and uniqueness work for you rather than against you. SIGNUP FOR NEWS Emotional Safety in Business Unhappy employees lead to unserviced customers and unrewarded investors. Gallup – one of the biggest management consulting companies – identified in their study in over 142 countries this dreadful correlation between 👉performance, engagement & well-being👈 87% of workers report low engagement, low well-being & low performance. This translates into 1.2 billion disengaged workers around the globe. This has had a direct impact on employees’ ability to adapt to a fast-changing work environment, on their capacity to find creative solutions and anticipate forthcoming events. Lack of engagement impacts the overall team dynamics, productivity and capacity to care for each other. It also potentially increases misunderstandings, frustrations and conflicts. The live Q&A sessions Each week we cover one of the key elements of Sustainable Performance, with the purpose to reverse the vicious circle of low engagement, low well-being & low performance, into a virtuous uplifting one. The calls are limited in number so everyone has a chance to talk & make progress towards their goals (aka get more things done) whether it’s unlocking their performance at work, saving time for family, or anything else that matters to you really. It’s also an opportunity to help other participants or get inspired by them 😉 Weekly live calls currently take place on Mondays.
