Crystal&Co - Training And Test Center for CSCS Card Level 1, 2, 3

crystal&co - training and test center for cscs card level 1, 2, 3

Harrow,

I have made my CSCS card labourer at Crystal&Co in Harrow on the Hill and the staff was supper polite! I have received the electronic format of the CSCS card and certificate within 3 days from the course and I started the job quickly. Very happy with the customer service they provide! I needed a CSCS card labourer asap and Crystal&Co was the only place where I was able to take the course on a Sunday as I work from Monday to Saturday. On Thursday I received the electronic version of the CSCS card and the H&S certificate by email and I was able to start working. A few days later I received the card via Royal Mail because I live far away. Very polite and friendly staff. Strongly recommend Crystal&Co for the amazing service they provide. The staff at Crystal&Co is very friendly! I was told about this centre by my friend, he did his CSCS card at this centre and was very pleased with the services. I now found a job as a Labourer on a construction site so my advise to you is to take the course if you need it done fast and proper! Good luck to all! Great experience. On Thursday I made a reservation for Saturday. It was a one day class with the exam at the end. The course was well explained by the teacher, the exam was easy and from the information we received during the class. On Thursday I received the electronic version of the CSCS card, and I started the job. Thank you, Crystal&Co, I recommend with confidence!

Language For Fun

Newcastle-Under-Lyme

Join one of our Lovely, lively language classes for adults. We have 500 classes in the UK, just waiting for you to learn French, Spanish or Italian for fun!At the time, I was teaching in an FE college, and in a Primary School and studying for a PGCE in adult education. I quickly realised that many of the games and interactive techniques that the children enjoyed could be adapted for adult pupils. I decided to trial a language course for adults where the focus was on fun and conversation, rather than results and written work. So in 2007 I created French for Fun and held my first classes in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Through trial and error, I came up with a regular weekly format that worked and incorporated the learning theory from my PGCE. The classes are now built around a series of conversations, so everyone gets up and talks in every lesson at the same time (no trembling in front of the class). In January 2010, after enrolling our 60th student, I decided to see if French for Fun worked with other languages. In March 2010, Sally and Alejandra started to translate the programme in to Spanish with great success and we have also finished the Italian translation. I also started to offer licences to other teachers, training them to use my materials and supporting them to set up their own language teaching business. We now have 100 teachers dotted around the country and we’re training more all the time, so there will be a class coming to somewhere near you soon. Yippee! If you know anyone who would like to get involved in the next chapter of this story, either as a learner, a teacher, or to translate the programme in to their language, get in touch!

Cath Little

Cardiff

Cardiff Storyteller and Singer Cath Little has “rough magic” in her voice, and in her words “the gift of the story comes through.” She has a strong belief in the power of stories to connect us to one another, to the land, and to the people who once lived here. She tells traditional stories from her Irish English heritage and her Welsh homeland. Cath enjoys re-imagining and retelling stories from The Mabinogion. Cath helps run the Cardiff Storytelling Circle and curates their seasonal concerts, Tales for the Turning Year. She tells and listens to stories at Oasis, a Cardiff Charity which offers a warm Welsh welcome to refugees and asylum seekers. Cath keeps busy sharing stories in schools, libraries, museums, castles, cafes and fields. She has performed at festivals across Britain and Ireland and is the author of Glamorgan Folk Tales for Children. My father told me stories and my mother read me them. The family was, and is, full of wonderful storytellers. When I started teaching English in London Secondary Schools it came naturally to me to tell stories: I told stories to help the children into poetry, into Shakespeare, into their own creative imaginations. When I taught English in Italy and in Egypt I found that stories take away the stress of learning another language and give a real reason for listening. When I became a Steiner Waldorf Early Years Teacher I learnt more about the power of stories to nurture and to heal. And then one day I met a professional storyteller! Then I knew that’s what I had to be. Since then I’ve been on the path, following my bliss, and have worked as a professional storyteller since 2006.

Create Learning Trust

London

In education, teachers often refer to a moment when they see something ‘click’ for a child; the exact moment where a concept is understood, an imagination is lit or an idea is formed. Create Learning Trust is a network of academies committed to giving children and young people moments like that in their education. We embrace innovation, share best practice and shape opportunities; creating an environment that sparks and ignites the talents and interests of our staff and students. To achieve this, every member of our community is committed to: Working together to provide the best quality of education Encouraging innovation, self-belief and confidence Acting with a moral purpose and with integrity Our Principles After looking at the strengths of our schools, and reviewing number of successful MATs, as well as analysing issues for MATs who have faced difficulties, Trustees have created a list of principles that will underpin the trust. The trust will be made up of Trustees who know our schools and our communities and/or have specialist skillsets Every academy will retain a Local Governing Body and as much responsibility as possible will be delegated to them Each school will retain its own individual identity and ethos. We want Create Learning Trust to be the sum of different, complementary parts, that work together to create a strong and supportive environment We will, however, look to share ideas and best practice to reduce teacher workload and embrace innovation Our Trust is committed to supporting and recognising the contribution of all staff make, and is focused on job retention and creation We will be innovative in how we ensure we get value for money from contracts and also, in the future, generate income to support our schools. The focus will always be on how we can invest our resources to maximise the benefits for our pupils.

Tina Mayfield Associates

Swanage

“I’ve always held the belief that we are all creative beings, and that given the right conditions, everyone is able to explore their strengths and reach their full potential.” Inspired at a young age to pursue creative disciplines, Tina began her career as a design and fine arts teacher and tutor. Working in further education colleges in impoverished and crime-riddled neighborhoods in the UK, she quickly encountered the challenges inherent in supporting students that had complex needs. These were young people struggling with violence and trauma, drug and alcohol addiction, low self-esteem and, in some cases, undiagnosed neurodiversity. They struggled to learn in the same way as other students did and were often marginalized by an academic system that measures success solely through targets and standardized tests. Tina quickly realized that no matter the resources or skills of staff available, when individuals are not emotionally and psychologically stable, they simply cannot excel. Driven by a deep compassion and a struggle she could understand, having grown up with violence and unrecognized neurodiversity in her own family, Tina sought ways to create an environment where young people could thrive and flourish, access their strengths and develop confidence. “I’ve always believed that every individual has their own unique strengths and in the right environment every person can get to know what those strengths are.” Training in counselling for drug addiction and Neuro-Linguistic Programming provided a foundation for a more holistic approach. She saw the success that her students experienced when they felt supported in a safe haven; a stress-free space of true presence and non-judgment where they could explore themselves freely through their creative process and develop confidence.
