london aquatics centre
The London Aquatics Centre is operated by charitable social enterprise, Better.
Established in 1993, we are now the largest operator of leisure and Library
facilities in the UK with more than 140 separate venues in our portfolio. Our
charitable sociable enterprise status means we work for the benefit of everyone:
the public, local communities, the environment, our staff and our partners. As a
result, we’re proud to be the first leisure operator in the UK to be awarded
both the Social Enterprise Mark and the Prime Minister’s Big Society Award.
Having worked alongside the Mayor of London and London Legacy Development
Corporation (LLDC) in the bid for the 2012 London Olympics, Better are proud to
be able to open the centre and ensure it’s accessible to the whole community.
