Cherfold Flowers was established in 2010 by Caroline Oleron. Cherfold have a reputation for colour, texture and natural floral design. They have a strong appreciation of natural beauty and abundance and love the people they work with. My name is Caroline Oleron and I am a florist and grower with a strong appreciation of natural beauty and seasonal abundance. I established Cherfold Flowers in 2010 and have developed a reputation for colour, texture and natural floral design. The flower studio is now based in my garden on the Surrey/West Sussex border. It’s here you’ll find me with an abundance of seasonal beauty, plus of course Monty the studio dog. I love the gentle atmosphere and the warm, inspiring space. Brides, homeowners and companies come to Cherfold Flowers because they trust me to create memorable floral designs. Artistry and quality are core to the work I do here at Cherfold Flowers. I’m a self-taught gardener who went to art schools in London and Paris. I lived on a kibbutz and developed a talent for photographing atmospheric still life. When my children were young, I fell in love with gardening. I have been cultivating my knowledge of botanicals and bulbs, shrubs and scent ever since. My approach is one that prioritises seasonal, British-grown produce and surprise. For instance, a groom’s buttonhole may contain a rosemary sprig or funghi from the local woodland floor; a bride may carry a bouquet that reflects her elements of grandmother’s cottage garden; and an office space will be transformed by luscious greenery and foliage.

Publishing and Thesis ServicesWe’re really proud to say, The Book Hub Publishing Group is now the largest independent Publishing House in the scenic west of Ireland with Offices just outside Athenry town in County Galway and in Limerick. 2020 with the global pandemic seemed a good time to institute some change in direction in the life of the Book Hub Publishing Group which has been busy publishing authors since 2009. Very grateful to Niall, John and the crew for their work over the years, we really wanted to get a stronger sense of the company being led by women and promote the idea of female entrepreneurship in Ireland so we had a team meeting (Zoom as we were all in various states of lockdown) and agreed we needed a formal role of Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Equality – Dr. Mary Helen Hensley was perfect for the role with her life experiences and publication interests. We aim to review inclusion across the board in our projects. Our Northern Ireland Senior Script Reviewer, Anna Gray, was happy to maintain and build on her existing role and also move into ghostwriting. Dr. Phil Noone from Ocean Mindfulness, assumed Senior Irish Reviewer role and Susan McKenna took over as Director, Commissioning Editor and Author Rep. Since 2020, we’ve continued to grow and work with existing and new authors from as far afield as the United States, Canada, Switzerland and even Peru and, of course, we continue to work with Irish authors here in Ireland. We’ve also published several volumes of poetry and have more book projects from several genres in the pipeline. Being women in business is particularly challenging, but also deeply rewarding. We hope to continue to pave the way for diversity and inclusion in publishing and are committed to sparking creative talent. *We have been very fortunate to receive Arts funding for several of our books including ‘Eurydice 29’, ‘Midlandia’, ‘Going Back for all I’d on’ from the Arts Office, Westmeath County Council. Indeed, ‘Eurydice 29’ was also funded by the Department of Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht. ‘Bittern Cry’ was funded by Artl!nks and Waterford County Council. ‘Little Pocket of Love’ was funded by Humanli Social Impact Organisation.

I’m Emily, the founder of Giggling Panda Chinese School, we started our exciting journey of creating the best Chinese school in 2015. As the name suggest, Giggling Panda is a happy school, where our creative teachers give our pupils the best Chinese language education surrounded with endless fun. We strongly believe curiosity and fun are the best motivation for children to learn anything, our teachers are magicians, they take our pupils onto a journey full of fascinating stories and knowledge that excite them all the time. Our philosophy is to teach language in a completely different way. In our opinion, learning a new language shouldn’t be boring or dry as sawdust, instead, it should be colourful, dynamic, and full of excitement. Children are always intrigued by the interesting facts and knowledge, and using a different language in getting access to those knowledge is the ultimate goal we have in Giggling Panda. We live in a completely new world now, the old-style learning has a lot of limitations, and we want to remove those limitations, so the bright young minds can be better fed. We constantly ask ourselves to relentlessly focus on customer service, just like the children deserve the best education, our parents deserve the best customer service. We put a lot of energy on building a community where our parents not only able to send their children for the best education, but also feel being part of a big family where they can get a lot of additional information and support. We will continue to work with other education institutions to create a centre of excellence for creative skills, and this will always be written in our mission. We celebrate culture diversity, our children come from different social background, and everyone should be proud of their own culture, the soil we provide at Giggling Panda is not only for our pupils to show their individual talent but also to be the little ambassadors of their own community. We hold regular events to promote the rich culture diversity, entrepreneurship, individual talents etc. Giggling Panda will give you the warmest welcome, look after every child as its own, and take every parent on this exciting, happy journey.

Have you ever noticed that a child is often happy to draw with abandon at 5 and yet by the time they reach 10 or even an adult, they sometimes no longer feel like they can draw? Can you relate to that yourself? Why is that?  Could it be that we are taught there is a 'right' and wrong' way to draw or that we just don't get enough time in school dedicated to the visual arts?
