This eLearning course is suitable to refresh your DSL training every 2 years for you and your safeguarding team.

Supervising First-Aid for Mental Health Two Day Course Cost:  £125 + vat per person SYLLABUS A range of First Aid for Mental Health related subjects are covered, including: What is First Aid for Mental Health? Identifying mental health conditions Providing advice and starting a conversation Stress Mental health conditions Drugs and alcohol First Aid for Mental Health action plan First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace Depression Anxiety Post-traumatic stress disorder Self-harm Suicide Eating disorders Personality disorders Bipolar disorder Psychosis Schizophrenia CERTIFICATION A Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner must complete the entire course again to re-qualify for a further three years. Awareness of Safeguarding Safeguarding • Adults & Children at Risk Our Safeguarding Workshops cover a variety of topics, including identifying signs of abuse or neglect, understanding legal responsibilities related to safeguarding, and implementing effective strategies for preventing harm. These Workshops are led by experienced Trainers who have extensive knowledge in the field of Safeguarding. They are designed to provide Healthcare Professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to protect vulnerable individuals in their care. The Workshops are highly interactive, providing participants with plenty of opportunities to engage in discussions, ask questions, and practice new skills. We believe that this hands-on approach enhances learning and helps participants apply what they’ve learned in real-world situations. Course: Four Hours Cost:  £45 + vat per person Awareness of Safeguarding Qualification will provide an understanding of Safeguarding which can be used in a workplace, activity group or any instance where a person comes into contact with children or adults at risk. The Qualification provides learners with the knowledge to identify a Safeguarding concern, record a disclosure and report to the appropriate person. SYLLABUS A range of Safeguarding related subjects are covered including: Safeguarding legislation and guidance Roles and responsibilities Abuse and neglect Identifying concerns and disclosure Making judgements Reporting Safeguarding concerns CERTIFICATION Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, learners will be awarded an Ofqual regulated qualification. The qualification does not have an expiry date, but refresher training and keeping up-to-date with changes to policies, procedures and new legislation through ongoing CPD is vital.

The Care Certificate Refresher is fully CPD accredited. The Care Certificate Refresher training is a full day, instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. We use a mixture of training methods such as hands on activities, group discussion, games and the use of equipment / technology to cover the different learning styles of the individual. Learners will update their knowledge, skills and understanding around the 15 care standards. The Care Certificate Refresher provides care staff with the fundamental skills to provide a quality, safe and effective service. The Care Certificate Refresher does not cover manual handling of people and objects. This is a stand-alone course, which can be booked separately. Care providers are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and as a result must meet the Health and Social Care Act 2014 (Regulation 18 Staffing). Evidence of training and understanding is provided to support providers in their evidence of compliance. Instructions Attendees to arrive on time at 9.30am and will leave around 16.30pm It is important that learners are fit and well to participate in group activities. Manual Handling injuries are one of the most common types of work-related accidents in the UK. This course is designed to increase employee awareness of Manual Handling risks and provide practical advice on how to keep safe at work. In this short course, learners will review recommended lifting techniques and identify ways to minimise manual handling through the use of lifting aids and team lifts. This Manual Handling Awareness course also includes a basic understanding of the anatomy of the spine, sprains and strains, to provide an appreciation of the importance of following guidance and training.
