A Bespoke Course The course is exclusively aimed at learners with Education, Health and Care Plans. 1 Year Programme The programme will run for 15 hours a week over 3 days and transitions young people into further education or prepares them for the workplace. A Range of Modules The mandatory modules include progression routes which focus on preparing for further study or employment. There is an extensive range of optional modules should a person want to expand their knowledge in a specific area. Functional Skills We offer separate qualifications in both Maths and English ranging from Entry Level 1 up to Level 2. The qualification helps to prepare people for further learning or develop their knowledge and skills in a work-related subject. Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications included where needed, levels from Entry 1 to Level 2. Bespoke course delivered within a small group setting based on preparing to transition for the following academic year. Units can be studied at different levels to support spiky profiles, work-related units in Animal Care, Business and Administration, Catering, Charity and Voluntary sector, Cleaning, Construction, Creative Skills, Customer Service/Contact Centres, Hair and Beauty, IT, Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Retail, Sport and Leisure. Progress into further study at Entry 3 or Level 1 in the vocational subjects studied or into entry level employment in the vocational subjects studied. LD Training provides access education qualification opportunities within a flexible delivery model that enables students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their professional goals, improve the productivity of their organisations and provide leadership and service to their communities, as stated within the mission of the organisation. Over the past 12 years, LD Training has successfully delivered over 12000 qualifications, across various sectors including; business; management; health and social care; early years; education; hospitality; retail; construction and functional skills, from Entry level through to Level 5 and specialises in providing education to hard to reach communities. Having become a well-established organisation in the Government funded training sector, LD Training diversified into tertiary education in 2019 in order to strengthen its portfolio and to provide ongoing career progression opportunities for our alumni. In this regard, LDT secured a collaborative partnership agreement with Leeds Trinity University to offer a BA (Hons) Business and Management with a Foundation Year in Business from September 2019 at our campuses in London (Stanmore), Dudley and Nottingham. Following the successful delivery of our Leeds Trinity Partnership, we were successful in our approach to the University of Suffolk for a second collaborative partnership in order to provide our students with a greater choice of education pathway utilising a Foundation Year. Groundwork North Wales supports people facing multiple challenges, living in isolation, with significant health issues, limited employment prospects and who are vulnerable to the economic and environmental uncertainty of today’s society. We do this by creating better places, improving people’s prospects and by promoting greener choices through our diverse range of projects and services. We continue to grow our training offer and this year saw the development of our Pathways range of courses for those furthest from the job market. These courses provided individuals with a suite of entry-level qualifications for sectors such as retail, hospitality, health and social care, childcare and construction. Many participants have gone on to employment, into education or are volunteering; all reported improved self-esteem and confidence as a result of their achievements. Through a vast range of grant-funded projects, we work with individuals and communities across North Wales to improve local green space, reduce waste and to protect the natural environment. In the year 2021/21 where the government declared a nature emergency, the need to engage people with the natural environment and support them to think about their environmental impacts was stronger than ever.

The organisation primarily works with adults who are economically and/or socially disadvantaged, and therefore statistically less likely to be economically active or to be participating in education and learning through traditional routes. CET’s aim is to enable these adults to access foundation or entry level education and training which will provide them with new skills and increased self-esteem and confidence with which they can use to progress to employment, further education opportunities, or improve career prospects. Indeed we are a “Stepping Stone” and in some cases a “life line” for people looking to build a more rewarding future, because we provide accessible education in an environment which is both non-threatening and culturally empathetic.

John Ruskin College (part of Orbital South Colleges) is a successful vocational college situated in Selsdon, South Croydon. We deliver a wide range of full-time study programmes for young people and a range of full and part-time qualification and non-qualification courses for adults, including evenings. From September 2022, our full-time study programme offer for 16-18s will include T Levels. Our Apprenticeship offer is very wide meeting local employment and employer needs.
