Featuring a wide variety of different visual stories, genres, themes and ideas, we are proud to be showcasing all these films in Studio A on the big screen! Be sure to book your ticket to come along to our school's own miniature film festival!

DATE: Tuesday 11th June TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A Join us for a frank and informative discussion on mental health, how best to maintain and support yourself and others during times of stress and anxiety. Hosted by our very own school counsellor, Alice Coyle, this session will be a great way for you learn new key skills that will develop your own mental health and help you cope with everyday stress, both from personal circumstances and school assessments. We hope to see you all there!

DATE: Thursday 11th July TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A Chris Jones is one of the lead organisers of the London Screenwriting Festival, and also recently served as Splinter Unit Director of Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One. He will be discussing both how students can navigate film festivals and make their work stand out, and also his experiences working in a position of creative control on a large-scale blockbuster film. Be sure to book your tickets in advance for this event.

DATE: 26th March TIME: 4pm LOCATION:Studio A We are pleased to welcome Film Buddy back for an exclusive TELEVISION SCREENWRITING mentoring session, where we will feature two wonderful guest speakers and mentors: CALEB RANSON (Around the World in 80 Days, Midsomer Murders) and JAKE RIDDELL (Waterloo Road, Young Dracula, Grantchester, Death in Paradise). They will be discussing various aspects of TV Screenwriting, including what to include in your pilot and how best to pitch your series idea. Be sure to book on if you are interested and want to learn more about professional screenwriting.

Date: Monday 16th October Time: 4pm Location: Studio A Join us again for CFS Film Club, as this week we visit one of the essential independent films of the last decade, 2016's Best Picture Winner Moonlight. Barry Jenkins' tender masterpiece explores the LGBT identity within wider African-American culture, with stunning imagery, sensational performances and a wondrous score. Follow the story of Chiron, a teenager growing up in the Miami ghetto, dealing with his sexuality and drug-addict mother. Tickets are free to this event, and be sure to join us in The Landor pub afterwards to discuss the film together.

DATE: Thursday 9th May TIME: 4:30pm LOCATION: Studio A Following a very successful February mixer event, we are pleased to invite Point Blank Music School back in the Summer Term for an official Pitch Evening. The focus will be for final term CFS students to pitch their graduation film ideas to collaborate with music students from Point Blank. Pitching students should think about what style of music they are looking for and the style that would compliment their overall vision. We hope to have a good turnout and welcome back our friends at Point Blank Music School. Please be sure to book in advance if you want to come along to this event.

DATE: Tuesday 28th May TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A Jordan Gifford is an up and coming writer, director and producer who will be coming in to give advice on looking for Freelance Film work. He will discuss his own burgeoning career, how he went from a runner to working in film locations, to being given the opportunity to produce his first feature film, all whilst also finding his own voice as a writer/director of dramatic short films. You will get the chance to ask him questions directly as well, and hear advice from someone who not too long ago was in your shoes exactly. Be sure to book in advance if you want to come along.

DATE: Tuesday 25th June TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A One of the first and most-important British LGBT+ films ever made,  My Beautiful Laundrette helped open discussion about gay identity, and is also influential in its portrayal not just of an LGBT+ couple, but of an inter-racial couple as well. Daniel Day-Lewis came storming into the world of cinema with his role as Johnny, a hardened street punk hiding his true identity. Director Stephen Frears captures the mood and vibe of Thatcher-era London, creating a time-capsule of a distant world we're unfamiliar with. Book your tickets in advance.

Date: Monday 6th November Time: 4pm Location: Studio A Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, one of the most acclaimed films of the 2000s, is about memory, love and the pain of heartbreak, whilst wrapped up in a brilliant, high-concept conceit: if you could erase someone from your memory, would you do it? This is the question faced by Joel and Clementine, following their relationship and breakup, as they navigate their past together and whether they want to hold onto their memories of each other, from once happy times that have now turned painful. Don't miss the best film ever made about longing for someone you can no longer be with.

Time: 3:45pm Date: Wednesday 13th December Location: Studio A Our Festive Film has been picked by you all, and it's the 90s holiday classic HOME ALONE! Kevin McCallister (Macauly Culkin) is fed up with his family, so when he accidentally misses being taken on their Christmas holidays, he's left all by himself in the family home. Kevin needs to learn how to fend for himself quickly though, as two scheming burglars plan to loot all the nice wealthy houses that have been left empty over the holidays. Be sure to book tickets in advance to this exclusive Christmas Screening taking place in Studio A before the Christmas Party at the nearby ARCH Clapham afterwards!
