Additionally, she will speak about her BBC Studios short film 'The Pink Pill', and answer any questions students may have about working as a screenwriter in the TV industry. Professional Perspectives: Andrew Legge + 'LOLA' Screening

Time: 4pm Date: Thursday 9th November Location: Studio A Writer and director Andrew Legge joins us via Zoom for this exclusive screening event, where we'll be showing his recently released film 'LOLA' in Studio A, followed by a discussion and Q+A. Set during World War 2, the film charts the amazing invention by two sisters of a computer that's able to show glimpses of the future. By altering events in the present, the world changes around the two women, as time and space reach near breaking point. One of the best underground films to come out this year, be sure to come and see it, and then get a chance to speak to the man who made it afterwards!

DATE: 18th January TIME: 6PM LOCATION: Curzon Soho Theatre, 99 Shaftesbury Avenue, W1D 5DY BOOKING DEADLINE: 9th January SONY SCREENINGS have invited CFS students to attend an exclusive, complimentary screening of Michael Mann's motorsports biopic Ferrari, at the Curzon Soho Theatre on Thursday 18th January. It will consist of welcome drinks from 6 o'clock, with the screening itself starting at 6:40pm. After the screening there will be networking until 11pm. This great event MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE, and has limited availability. ONE TICKET may be booked per CFS student (sorry, no plus-ones this time). The deadline to book onto this is Tuesday 9th January. It will be first come first served, and tickets will be booked according to remaining availability from the organisers. Professional Perspectives: Tim Haines - Documentary Production

Date: Thursday 15th June Time: 4pm Location: Studio A - Landor Road Event Details: Tim Haines is a television producer and director, having worked on several highly-respected documentary and drama productions over a storied career. Tim will speak about the following topics as well as others at the event: Approaches to Documentary How a Documentary Gets Made The Purpose of a Documentary Modern Combinations of CGI & Live Action Throughout students will have the chance to ask questions about the topics being discussed, before wrapping up with a wider Q+A session at the end. Areas of focus will include how to be safe on a night out, and also how to handle injuries specific to film sets (burns, electrocution, etc.) This is fantastic information to have both for your professional development and personal life.
