We provide a lending service of good quality educational resources to Early Learning & Childcare professionals and Peep practitioners in Midlothian. Our resources aim to support all areas of a child’s development and offer broader learning through play experiences. Educational Resource Centre We offer a wide range of exciting resources supporting creative learning through; Music & Dance, Small World, Loose Parts, Literacy & Numeracy and much more. In addition our Exploration and Discovery Resources boxes support and extend many interests. Our Aims Provide quality resources to improve the learning through play opportunities and experiences of children Provide quality resources to support a child’s cognitive, emotional, social and physical development through play Provide a range of appropriate educational resources to support staff working with children Provide an inclusive service of good quality educational resources through an affordable membership fee structure PlayBase observes Early Years national and local policy and supports the Scottish Government’s objectives of high quality play opportunities in every community. I work as a wellbeing coach and specialist autism support worker guiding, supporting and empowering the people I work with to live the best lives they can. I aim to be a a catalyst in individuals transformation, ushering souls towards their fullest potential and most authentic and integrated versions of self. I believe that every person has the potential to actualise a life with wellbeing, purpose and deep meaning at the forefront; with the right resources, support and self-belief anything is possible. My Integrative Wellbeing Coaching approach comes from a belief that a holistic approach to wellbeing through combining physical, emotional and spiritual well-being is vital to improved long-term wellbeing. I am a 500hr qualified yoga and meditation instructor, with a passion for spirituality and related practices. I have worked in various settings that inform how I work. My work with the charity S.A.N.E on a mental health helpline and W.I.S.H (women in secure hospitals) gave me a deep understanding of lived experiences of mental health. My time in various community settings both in youth and adult services offering support and wellbeing services, has developed my awareness of the factors from our childhood and youth as well as socio-economic and environmental factors that inform the adults we become. In recent year my interest has been in working with individuals and groups to get deeper into the work of creating transformation in their hearts and lives. My practice is informed by my own journey through mental health challenges and addiction recovery. Its my lived experience that gives me a genuine compassion, directness and approachability. Alongside my wellbeing work I work as a Specialist Autism Support Worker with the National Autistic Society. I am passionate about working with the unique strengths and challenges of neuro-diversity, having pursued a late diagnosis of ASD myself in 2017.

TEG helps mainly Turkish and Kurdish speaking adults and children overcome barriers to Education, Employment, Health, British Citizenship and any other problems they face. Our aims: To assist individuals and their families in advancing their education, realising their potential and improving their quality of life. To target members of the community who are faced with greater levels of inequality and discrimination - the unemployed, the unqualified and under-qualified, the disabled, refugees and women. To contribute to the multicultural society in the UK by ensuring that Turkish-speaking people are empowered to contribute their skills, talents and experience and play a full role in the community. This is of benefit to our members and society as a whole. TEG provides three main services Education Qualified and experienced teachers running a range of courses and training programmes. Computer for Adults Two levels with examinations and national qualifications (CLAIT OCR) Turkish Literacy for Women Turkish Reading and Writing classes for women. Turkish, Maths and Science for Children Weekend classes and Homework Clubs for children from 7 until 14 years of age. GCSE Maths & Science classes for children and adults of all ages. Turkish Language Courses Weekly classes for English speakers wishing to learn Turkish from complete beginners to intermediate level. TEG Information Advice and Guidence A bilingual user/client centre with impartial advice, information and support. General Support Call or drop for general support. North Tyneside Music Education hub engages with all 76 schools in North Tyneside. As well as ensuring that over 9,500 young people regularly engage in our wider opportunities whole-class tuition programme each year, we also support a network of self-employed music teachers who deliver small-group and individual instrumental lessons in schools. CPD We run programmes of CPD for music teachers and associated staff, provide curriculum support and design services and are always on hand to advise schools on how to make music provision the best it can be in each individual setting. Tutors Our team of NTMEH tutors also work to lead and support ensembles and choirs ran in schools, with over 3,000 young people regularly taking part in extra-curricular musical activities across the borough each year. Young Musicians Over 5,000 young musicians are regularly involved in our North Tyneside based hub events each year, and we also provide further opportunities for our young people to engage in other regional and national events with the support of our broad network of partners. Music Centre NTMEH Music Centre provides over 300 young people with the weekly opportunity to attend a wide range of bands, orchestras, choirs and a music theory group. All of these activities are free of charge. We also facilitate the Youth Music funded Standing Upright project, which provides access to musical opportunities for disadvantaged young people from across the borough, offering them the opportunity to work towards Arts Award qualifications and to train to become a NTMEH Young Leader. Hackney Fine Arts mission Our mission is to teach people of all ages and backgrounds how to make fantastic art from learning the essential artistic skills of drawing and painting from observation regardless of their experience or abilities. Anyone can learn them from any age, regardless of their experience, as creating great pictures requires learning and developing techniques. Once the techniques are learnt on a basic level, we continue to progress our students in each new project they embark on. We harness their skill development, encourage and support each student on their own artistic journeys to fulfil their unique artistic potential. The results will leave you amazed of what can be achieved. We deliver term time and holiday classes for children and teenagers and morning, evening and weekend courses for adults. We use the traditional methods of copying from masters and photographs as our learning resources. Each is carefully chosen to suit our student's level and teach a topic while placing focus on different drawing and painting techniques. Amongst others, our topics include: animals, landscapes, portraits, abstract and still lives. We are passionate about helping our students to develop confidence, focus, creative and analytical thinking. Engaging in creative process has a holistic power to improve wellbeing for all students, including those experiencing mental health difficulties. Hackney Fine Arts was founded and is directed by Noel Basualdo, a local mother, fine art painter and teacher with experience teaching in schools, colleges and charities. Our talented team of teachers are professional artists who regularly exhibit their work and are painting and drawing specialists, have Fine Art degrees & up to date DBS checks.
