SYLLABUS A range of subjects is covered, including: Role of the Paediatric First Aider Primary survey Resuscitation (CPR including the safe use of an AED) Wounds, bleeding and shock Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis Head, neck and back injuries Seizure Choking Minor injuries Recovery position Fractures Foreign bodies Diabetic emergencies Asthma Meningitis Febrile convulsions Extreme cold and heat Electrical incidents Maximum of 12 People Students must be a minimum of 16 years of age to qualify. Numbers A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course. CERTIFICATION The qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to re-qualify for a further three years. You’ll have the opportunity to practice what you’ve learned in a controlled environment before you need to apply it in real life. Upon completion of a First-Aid Qualification, employers can be assured that they have highly-trained personnel capable of responding swiftly and effectively to any First-Aid needs. A six week introduction to scentwork for pet dogs. Take the first steps to discovering the incredible power of a dog's nose. This class will cover the basics of search, scent ID, and indication. Each dog will work one at a time and free from the distraction of other dogs, allowing them to work at their own level in a comfortable and relaxed environment, making this activity accessible to reactive dogs. DOGS ATTENDING THIS CLASS MUST BE HAPPY AND ABLE TO REST IN THE CAR OR CRATE BETWEEN WORKING TIMES.
