perry foundation
London
Perry Foundation allocates most of its income to funding postgraduate
studentships intended to be of benefit to UK agriculture, but also gives smaller
awards for other relevant projects. The Foundation's Chairman is Scott Norris,
an Essex farmer, graduate of Nottingham University and Nuffield Scholar. The
members of the Board of Trustees are people who have wide experience in food and
farming matters. Perry Foundation is pleased to report that it has also
appointed two Patrons, Lord Boswell and Dr Ian Macpherson, both of whom were
former Board members. In 2002, an initiative by Dr Ian Macpherson, supported by
Sir Don Curry, led to the establishment of the Agrifood Charities Partnership
(AFCP) to improve the effectiveness of charities in the food and farming
sectors. A short history of the Perry Foundation can be found on the page Brief
History.
