David Simon is an author and educationalist. He is the author of the Genius series that includes the best-selling books How to Unlock Your Child’s Genius and How to Unlock Your Genius Using Black History. He co-founded Simon Education in 1987 which has gone on to support over 6000 African-Caribbean families in the UK. He has won numerous awards as an educationalist and a novelist/poet, including the Peterloo Poetry Award. He is also the founder of Black Book Festival, an annual event to promote Black writers globally. David’s other publications includes: Secrets of the Sapodilla (1986), the play Mountaintop (1987) which was nominated for the London Fringe Awards, the novels Garvey’s Last Soldier (1999) and Pastor Pastor (2019). The company currently runs a publishing house, an online school and provides teacher-training to schools in Africa and the Caribbean. Leonora Simon-Bleasdille has worked as a scientist for over 35 years and taught students at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. She co-founded Ebony Supplementary Saturday School, now Simon Education, where I taught English, mathematics, science, and Black history for over 35 years. Nneb Akpom-Simon has worked in supplementary education for 30 years; tutoring and coaching children, young people and parents. A Petal Unfolds

Paper artist Susan Beech creates beautifully delicate crepe paper flowers and botanicals from her home in Hove, UK. She founded her studio A Petal Unfolds in 2016. Each flower and botanical piece is unique, with every petal cut from the finest crepe papers and intricately shaped by hand. Ink, pastel and paint is often used to create a soft gradation of colour. Photo by Polly Hanrahan Susan works by studying real botanical specimens where possible, which helps her to create the finest of details. She also takes inspiration from photographs and botanical publications in order to create a realistic piece. Her fine artistry has led to commercial projects with the Financial Times and Liberty London amongst others. Susan also teaches paper flower workshops both within the UK and internationally, as well as her popular online classes. Inclusion Expert’s founder, Daniel Sobel, is an internationally respected leader in inclusive education and has advised the DfE, the EU and governments abroad. Daniel is a well-known speaker, writes regularly for publications including Headteacher Update and The Guardian, and is the author of several books including Narrowing the Attainment Gap. Daniel left school with no A Levels and read his first book aged 18. Gradually he fell in love with study and managed to secure a place on a Master’s course in Education Psychology. He went on to take four graduate courses in Psychology and Education, eventually running out of money in the middle of doctoral training. Daniel moved to full time teaching and quickly became a SENCO. Dismayed by how much of the job was pointless meetings and paperwork, he started designing tools to better support his students. During a stint as Assistant Head he continued to develop simple systems to help teachers manage information and maximise the impact of their interventions. Realising that many teachers were struggling with inclusion, that his ideas really worked, and that there was an opportunity to make a difference to children across the country, Daniel left teaching, somewhat hesitantly, to form Inclusion Expert. Over the last few years the company has grown rapidly to encompass a team of experienced practitioners who share Daniel’s vision that every child deserves the opportunity to achieve their potential, regardless of needs, background or ability.

Lilyput Lane is a cute, child sized street perfect for role playing and imaginative play. The ‘Lane’ has a police station, house, beauty salon, café, shop, vet and doctors surgeries.
