At Chrysalis, we take the best elements of well-known counselling and psychotherapy models and put them together in our unique, tried and tested approach, called psychotherapeutic counselling. This allows you to help with a range of common human problems whilst developing your own self-knowledge and understanding. On graduation from Chrysalis courses, you will be eligible to gain accredited membership with the relevant bodies and, subject to terms and conditions, join an Accredited Register. You’ll be able to use your qualifications as building blocks, taking your RQF credits elsewhere or progressing to Higher Education and postgraduate studies. You will be qualified to practise as a fully accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and or Hypnotherapist. Joy Townsend set up A11 Medical Services Ltd after being a volunteer with St John Ambulance for many years, decided to leave there as she no longer liked the new commercial set up, then worked with a Private Ambulance company for about 5 years as a General Manager and decided it was time to go it alone and start this company to help fill a gap within the Event First Aid Medical field & Training. This was becoming apparent with Event Organisers being let down by the ‘bigger’ National providers. So, this was the beginning of A11 Medical Services Ltd in 2019. Joy Townsend Managing Director Emergency Care Assistant (FREC4) with CERAD Qualification / Event First Aider / Trainer / IQA Joy has over 40 years experience in doing first aid and event medical cover across a diverse range of events throughout East Anglia. Examples include Norwich City Football, American Football, Marathons, the Royal Norfolk Show, Boxing, Horse Events of all types, Motor Sport (Bike/Car racing at Snetterton circuit and Motocross), Open Air Concerts and Village Fetes, plus much more. Joy is also an experienced Event Manager/Planner (including organising the levels of medical cover required and liaising with the event organisers & other clinical grades). As well delivering clinical skills at events, Joy has a proven track record in delivering quality training for Event Medical teams, plus first aid training to members of the public and the commercial sector. As well as holding the FREC 4 qualification, I also hold the level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF), Level 4 IQA, Infection Control, Dementia and the Level 3 Safeguarding of Children, Young People & Vulnerable Adults. My latest new qualification I have passed is L3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (CERAD).

It is a myth that we must be flexible to do Yoga. We do not arrive to Yoga with perfect bodies. Through breath and mindful movement we move our bodies and our minds toward wholeness and healing, and we learn to  accept ourselves as we are each day.  WHAT IS VINYASA FLOW YOGA? Vinyasa Flow yoga classes are both a physical challenge and a moving meditation. We start with yogic breathwork (pranayama) and warm up our bodies with gentle movements.  We then move into a more rigorous flow where we connect our breath with our movement through various yoga postures.  Modifications are offered for different abilities and those with conditions and injuries.  We then wind down with relaxing postures and deep rest.  In these classes you can expect to build physical strength, balance and stamina.  You will also develop a mindfulness practice and better body awareness.   This is a strength-based style of yoga so expect to sweat. At the end of class, you will leave feeling challenged and energised, yet also calm and centred.  With regular attendance you can expect to feel stronger and more flexible, to have better balance and to learn mindfulness tools to manage stress.  -- Please note: a reasonable level of fitness is required for these classes. You should be able to walk briskly for a mile and go up and down stairs without difficulty. Flexibility is NOT a requirement, rather it is one of the benefits gained by practicing yoga. 😊 After my first yoga class, I was hooked. I felt so calm. My body felt so open, and so tall. For more than 20 years now I have attended yoga classes for fitness, fun and to find a place of peace and respite. It’s helped me through bouts of back, neck, and wrist pain when I worked in IT. Yoga kept me fit during pregnancy and gives me a calming place to go when I need a break from the constancy of motherhood.
