We are taking measures to ensure that the wellbeing of all employees, students and suppliers is paramount during this global pandemic. Official guidance from WHO and PHE is being monitored to ensure compliance and appropriate responses. All staff have been fully briefed with regard to appropriate practices to ensure the spread of the virus is minimised. By maintaining rigorous cleanliness and hygiene standards across all of our sites we aim to minimise the spread of the virus. Full Risk Assessments have been adopted and we are working with customers, families, carers and other third parties to ensure appropriate management of our practices and procedures. Flexible, engaging and fully supported vocational day provision for young adults 16-24 and adults 25+ with mild to moderate learning difficulties/disabilities, brain injuries, autism and/or mental health located in Great Barr and Tamworth. Since 1996 we have recognised that adults who learn differently can enjoy increased independence, improved wellbeing and greater life choices through our vocational learning provision. The cut-backs in free education courses through colleges has necessitated an alternative approach which led to the establishment of Community Prospects. We felt that it was crucial that the continued funding changes should not take away the significant progress that we had seen in 100’s of students since 1996. I have over 20 years of experience in the behaviour and training of dogs and am a member of the Kennel Club Accredited Instructors. I have a Diploma in Canine Behaviour, and am a full member of INTO Dogs, ICAN and The Pet Professional Guild. My passion is working with dogs to help them reach their full potential in a fun, fear free way, whether they are working and competing dogs, fearful rescues or family unit members. I work completely on a positive reward basis, and as an ex Veterinary Nurse I also understand the anatomical and physical restraints that some dogs have, and will work with owners to overcome the problems. I have a special interest in arthritic dogs as per my Canine Arthritis Management qualification. As both a trainer and a behaviourist, I am fully insured and offer both group classes or one to one behaviour assessments and training. Debbie Goodwin Pawsitive Dog Training I run a Rescue and Rehoming Service for my breed, Papillons, and I have extensive knowledge on rescue dog behaviour, particularly the fearful foreign dogs. I regularly, successfully compete in agility, scentwork, showing and obedience myself. Behaviour consultations typically last an hour (or more if needed) to enable me to understand your dogs issues, to suggest a way forward and to start a programme. This will be followed up with a full written history and plan. Follow up visits very much depend on the issue, the implementation of the behaviour modification plan and the individual dog. General Training for dogs and puppies can be in either a class situation or one to one training. Some dogs do really well in class, whilst others need some one to one training first, especially where a class situation is too stressful. Again, it is very much dependent on what you wish to achieve with your dog, the dog itself, and its progression as to how many sessions you will need. The cause and motivation for the behaviour will be fully explained and a staged programme of behaviour modification advised. You will receive a written report and advised of follow up visits. I am able to provide a secure field for training on a Sunday afternoon so please contact me if required.

Transfer from primary school to secondary school is a time when students often feel both a sense of excitement and of apprehension. Students look forward to a new environment and the challenge of different subjects. They generally approach the secondary school with a determination to work hard and be successful. Early in the school year, the Head of Year 7 contacts every primary school in order to get to know every student and to see the children at work. Thirsk School & Sixth Form College works hard to ensure that early in their final year at primary school, any anxieties or fears are quickly removed so that students feel secure and confident about their transfer to the secondary school. We also offer Enrichment Days for year 5 students to give the children an earlier opportunity to spend time in the school. Liaison continues throughout the year and special attention is paid to the early identification of students with Special Educational Needs. In the summer term, students from primary schools spend a whole week at Thirsk School & Sixth Form College and a careful Induction Programme includes a tour of the school, meeting the form tutor and experiencing a wide range of lessons. Parents or Carers of primary school students are very welcome to visit the school at any convenient time. Formal tours of the school occur most weeks so that parents can see the school during a normal working day. Please contact the school if you would like to attend such a tour. During the Induction Week there is an Induction Evening for parents to ensure they are fully informed and fully prepared to support their child’s transfer into secondary school. Where parents wish students to be admitted other than for the beginning of Year Seven, they are asked to contact County Hall to arrange for an application form to be sent. Parents are asked to contact the appropriate Head of School/College who will then arrange to send them the necessary information and organise a meeting and tour around the school. Once a place has been allocated from County, and the necessary information from the child’s previous school has been obtained. If necessary, we will organise a planning meeting with the family to ensure children settle well.

We are now working towards opening the site in the next year. WHY IS THE EAST END WOMEN’S MUSEUM SO VITAL? The Museum exists because for far too long women have been confined to the margins of history. For instance: Just 2.7% of UK public statues feature historical women who weren't royalty (source). There is just one statue of a named black woman in the entire country (source). Just 13% of English Heritage blue plaques in London honour women (source). According to an English Heritage survey, 40% of people thought that women had less of an impact on history than men (source). “ The East End Women’s Museum is part of the solution, and a matter of representation. We want to rebalance the history books, and put women back in the picture. East London women’s lives are full of amazing stories; stories of pride, of creativity, of humour, resilience, resourcefulness and resistance – from the Bow Matchwomen’s Strike to the Battle of Cable Street, the Ford Dagenham machinists’ walkout to the Bengali families squatting to improve housing in Spitalfields. We have footballers, inventors, carers, pilots, generals, pirates and more. We believe these lives can be inspirational to women and girls today. We believe every woman, past and present, should have a voice. We believe these stories deserve, and need, to be told. Find out more about the aims and values that drive us. GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE East End Women’s Museum started out as a Community Interest Company (CIC), registered in November 2016. After a period of development and fundraising, we decided to register as a charity so we could raise the funds we need to open the museum, a natural and necessary next step for us. In late 2019 several of the directors of the East End Women’s Museum CIC became trustees of a new Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). After creating a new constitution, in March 2020 the new East End Women’s Museum CIO was admitted onto the register of charities overseen by the Charity Commission. The CIC and the CIO are separate organisations, but have the same name and are working toward similar goals. At the moment the two organisations run alongside one another, but over the coming months the original CIC will wind down its activities, and the charity will take on responsibility for delivering all of East End Women’s Museum programmes and activities.

We are a group of individuals from different backgrounds and with a broad range of experiences. Collectively we have worked in and with statutory services, private business, charitable and voluntary organisations, and across many sectors including health and social care, education, heritage and industry. Each Director brings a rich array of knowledge and perspectives and we are bound by our common interest in building a fairer society. We like to be creative and to seek the involvement of others in generating new ideas, both to overcome existing challenges and in Thinking BIG about new ways to improve experiences and outcomes. After a number of years of talking about ideas, we decided it was time to take action. We looked at different models for forming a charitable, not-for-profit organisation, and took advice from some who had gone before us in this sector. As a result, we formed Thinking BIG as a Community Interest Company, dedicated to engaging in training, and projects with individuals, groups and organisations, in pursuit of the overarching aim - to promote social inclusion, opportunity and wellbeing, by making a positive difference to services and people's lives through meaningful training and community engagement. There are no share holders, no dividends and no spurious expenses. Any funds raised are put entirely into the running of projects for the benefit of the community. As for the name, we asked the people we work with what words they thought captured what we do. We want people to Think BIG when considering new projects and activities, not to be limited by what is already out there. A little imagination and passion goes a long way, and we're on an exciting journey. We have experience of achieving outstanding outcomes, both with organisations, and with individuals. Our training is designed, delivered, evaluated and quality assured, with organisations benefiting from improved employee ability, confidence, performance and wellbeing. Our community projects have made a positive difference to people's lives, and include collaborations with The National Lottery Community Fund, the Police and Crime Commissioners for West and South Yorkshire and their Violence Reduction Units, Menston Parish Council, Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Kirklees Council, Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, and Yorkshire Mentoring. Much of our work is with individuals and groups who face barriers to inclusion, opportunity and/or wellbeing, and others who can support these very people. Children and adults can be vulnerable or disadvantaged by many factors including disabilities, ill-health, poverty, abuse, isolation, marginalisation or being in care. They can also find it difficult to keep themselves and others healthy and safe, or to access opportunities, services or employment, as a result of missing out on appropriate education, training or support. We can help to achieve goals and aspirations which improve lives. Others who support vulnerable people include families, friends, carers, schools, and involved or potentially supportive professionals, volunteers and services. These people can also face challenges which need to be recognised and addressed and they can be empowered in their roles through dedicated support and training. By choosing to use our training services for their teams, organisations can benefit from outstanding workforce development whilst simultaneously supporting their communities, as money raised is invested back into meaningful activities and projects
