CDAT was established by the Chester Diocesan Board of Education in 2014. Since our inception, we have developed our vision to build thriving learning communities that provide everyone with the opportunity to achieve the very best with their gifts and abilities. CDAT is a fully inclusive trust. Sarah Harris and Rick Johnstone, qualified school teachers and ASA swimming teacher trainers, have created a swim tuition programme designed to elicit best results from swimmers on an ongoing basis, by focusing on such important concepts as: MOTIVATION ENJOYMENT EXCITEMENT PROGRESS POSITIVITY SUCCESS We teach small groups of children, from complete beginners to advanced swimmers on the verge of competitive training. Our youngest performers are 2 years old, who are joined in the pool by their parent / carer. Of course safety is a paramount consideration in everything we do. Our programme comprises of 8 attainment levels, with clearly defined criteria for progress from one stage to the next. We promote happiness and enjoyment in swimming and cultivate a success-filled environment for all, at every level throughout the programme. Highly Progressive Programme We have developed an educationally sound, logical and progressive swim programme for our swimmers. Our mission to excite and delight both swimmers and their parents does not distract us from the key issue of how to achieve the best outcomes. Our methodology utilises a range of positive educational delivery modules, including accelerated learning techniques.

Welcome to The Nantwich Singers The Nantwich Singers is regarded as one of the finest chamber choirs in the northwest of England. Since its inception as The Tudor Consort in the early 1970s it has broadened its repertoire from the unaccompanied music of the 16th Century and now performs music from all eras and in all styles. The great masterpieces of the Renaissance are not forgotten but the choir is now equally at home in the classical era of Mozart and Schubert, the romantic world of Brahms and Rachmaninov, the rhythmic complexity of Walton and the jazz of Will Todd. Most performances are given in the medieval gem of St Mary’s Church in the centre of Nantwich, often referred to as the Cathedral of South Cheshire. But the choir also ventures further afield and has established a reputation deputising for church choirs around the country; including Bath and Tewkesbury Abbeys, and the cathedrals of Edinburgh, Manchester, Derby, Lichfield, Chester and Coventry among others. The choir comprises a flexible grouping of about 18 singers, some of whom are soloists in their own right. They perform regularly with orchestras and instrumental groups, as well as with organ or piano accompaniment, but at the heart of the choir is the enduring excitement of unaccompanied music, both sacred and secular.

Saturn is a canal “Fly Boat” (express delivery boat), built by the Shropshire Union Railways & Canal Company in 1906. She has been restored to her original working condition and is now both an outdoor classroom for schools and an 'eye-opening' historical experience for adults. Saturn's history is fascinating - & you could be part of her future! Fly-Boats Fly-boats operated regular schedules running 24 hours. More about Horseboating Saturn - a concise history Saturn was built 1906 in Chester for the Shropshire Union Railways & Canal Company. Entirely wooden construction – oak sides, elm bottoms. Horse-drawn she would usually carry between 12 and 16 tons Worked on the Llangollen Canal in the early 20th century Only surviving Shropshire Union fly-boat in original condition Saturn specialised in carrying cheese from Cheshire and North Shropshire to Manchester Saturn remained a horse-drawn cargo boat into the 1950s, by then working around the Wolverhampton area Mid 1950s to 1980s she was converted to work as a hotel boat Fully restored in 2005.
