Became a Limited Company without Guarantee in the Summer of 2003. The Directorship spans many fields for example retailing, local charities and local Ward Councillors - in fact it represents many organisations. There are also several subsets of the Partnership for example the Heritage Group, Markets, Town Centre and others who drive out the detail and deliver specific aims. These are led by Board members who report to the Executive. Each Director devotes his or her time and energies on a purely voluntary basis in pursuance of these goals. Many hundreds of hours have been spend debating and now delivering the our vision for the Town’s prosperity, heritage and regeneration. Together with our sponsors, we are well started on a long journey to promote the delivery of many new and exciting projects over the coming years.

With there being no school trips this year, we have organised a picnic for the whole school on Wednesday 16th of Jne 2021 with a ‘Shorts and Shades’ theme. The picnic will take place in the playground in class bubbles, as per Covid 19 guidelines. Children are encouraged to wear summer clothes on this day (weather permitting!) and are not required to wear school uniform. Pupils can also bring along a small towel or blanket to sit on. These will be for individual use only. Please also provide sun lotion (if required) and an extra bottle of water. An afternoon snack is being provided for your child along with an ice cream from the visiting ice-cream van. Our wonderful Parent Council is providing this. Children with dietary requirements will also be catered for.

Training Wave was formed in the summer of 2011 as a spin off brand to its sister company ‘in at the deep end’ to deal with the rising number of employers and educational establishments who wished to greater access to cost effective first aid training and consultancy services. This was to allow in at the deep end to go back to its roots as a swim school provider and to allow Training Wave to not be held back by label of being ‘just a swimming company’. Training Wave is led by two experienced leaders, Mark McNichol and Pauline Wright, both of whom have considerable experience within the leisure and education sector. This has allowed it to hold numerous accreditations with companies to enable it to develop and run its courses.

TCA was graded as Good following our most recent Ofsted inspection (January 2020), with inspectors commenting on the quality of leadership, positive relationships between staff and students, a curriculum ‘that helps pupils to succeed’ and a Sixth Form ‘where students have the support required to be successful.’ Read the Ofsted report here and our full statement here. The summer of 2020 saw more students going on to Russell Group universities, including the University of Cambridge. Our GCSE results in recent years have been the best in the school's history and we are confident this upward trend will continue. Our staff have high aspirations for all of our students and want them to grow into confident, ambitious and high achieving individuals. This year, we have seen applications to join our school increase by almost 20%.

I am also qualified to take clients on multi pitch mountain routes and mountain scrambles under Summer conditions and mountain hill walks under full Winter conditions.I have over two decades of teaching these activities on the crags of Perthshire and the mountains of the Scottish Highlands. A love of the mountains brought me to Scotland over 25 years ago and I have lived and worked in Perthshire ever since. In parallel with my work as a teacher, I have been teaching mountaineering and rock climbing as extra curricular activities during this time. The Highlands of Scotland are a magical place and I would love to help you maximise your next mountain adventure.

All Simia Circus staff undergo an extensive training program, which includes not only skill specific training, but also in depth safeguarding, and real time risk assessment. We have a large selection of affordable pottery suitable for all the family to create your own masterpiece. As some of you know, Pot-Sian was originally located at the 'Green shed' also known as Derw Stores in Caerwedros, which you may recognise from the photos. Unfortunately, we had to close in 2020 due to the pandemic. pottery workshop ceredigionWe are in the process of building a new studio but for the time being, we are offering take-home kits for you to paint in the comfort of your own home. Also, after a successful summer last year, we will again have a comfortable painting studio within a good sized gazebo in our garden! *This will be available during the summer months (unfortunately, it is not available over Easter). The gazebo caters for family-sized groups of up to 8 people. Booking ahead is required. We will have two 3-hour sessions a day to choose from. 10am - 1pm or 2pm - 5pm. These time slots allow us to clean and sanitize the area and equipment between groups. MOBILE POTTERYMobile Pottery Studio Our mobile pottery studio has in the past attended school fairs, various venues for groups, parties, and corporate events. Our aim is to continue this service. The Creative Writing Programme is one of the leading centres for creative writing in the UK. Our approach to teaching creative writing At a time when the cost of higher education has made university study an expensive luxury, our programmes offer a practical course of study, taught at university level, at an affordable price. Our innovative approach to teaching focuses on individual creativity and on teaching writing skills within the context of the creative process. Through a practical course of study designed to teach you how to build and structure narrative, our team of experienced writing tutors will help you develop your creative potential. Blended creative writing courses Work patterns and learning patterns are changing. To accommodate this new reality, as well as our in-person courses we have developed a new blended learning structure for our two-year programme. Our blended courses, aimed at local writers in the South East, are a mix of online and in person teaching, with classes taught from the Phoenix Art Space, or The Kemptown Bookshop in Brighton in early autumn and summer and online during the winter. You’ll spend the first five weeks of the Autumn Term meeting up in person, then switch to online learning as Winter sets in. We’ll stick with online classes until clocks go forward in March, then meet up again in person for the end of the Spring Term and the whole of the Summer Term. This way we make the most of what online learning has to offer, get to know each other, work together as a group, avoid travel over the winter months, stay safe and reduce our carbon footprint. We think that’s a positive.

Michelle, A.I.S.T.D. , M.B.T.D.A. , Reg RAD Member, began teaching Adult Jazz Dancing in Portishead in 1989. In 1995 the children of the adults wanted a class of their own. Numbers grew rapidly. Michelle also taught for the Bristol School of Dancing (where she trained) from 1986 until February 2014 when the branch was handed over to Michelle. In the Summer of 2014, a super sparkly 25th Anniversary show was staged to celebrate. In June 2016 Michelle was contacted by the BBC to be filmed dancing for the TV programme Street Auction – A fabulous day. MBDS likes to stay in the heart of the community. The children enjoy performing in various events ie carnival, flashmobs,displays etc. MBDS has been involved in the BBC CIN Tapathon for the last 4 years. The school also has 100% exam pass rate. This year the school renamed itself from Jazz on Tap Dance Company to Michelle Bedford Dance Studios. We are a fully ‘inclusive’ school and warmly welcome pupils regardless!
