MCET is an Education and Training Organisation based in South Birmingham offering a wide range of courses and qualifications delivered through Learndirect and other awarding bodies. Our Aims and Objectives are to provide education and training opportunities for low profile adults to improve their literacy skills to help them get opportunities and improve career prospects.We also work with local higher education colleges referring them local and international students in variety of subjects. MCET welcome all 19+ learners, whether you are early school leaver, recent immigrant, between jobs or unemployed or looking to change profession; there is a right course with valuable advice and support service available for you. There are variety of courses available to suit every individual needs giving you the basic qualification to demanded by institutions of further education as well as employers. The staff at MCET is supportive and multilingual if you have difficulties in language. There are presently three centres in the Birmingham area and two more will be opening soon following demand in the community. All centres are situated in different areas delivering the same array of course in their specified boundary.

At Enhancement Training we offer qualifications in Construction, Mechanics and Functional Skills at Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3 and Level 1. (Functional Skills Entry Level 1 to Level 2). Our units are accredited by NOCN (National Open College Network). We also offer units in Substance Misuse, Healthy Eating, History and Work Skills. Year 11's will also produce CV's and we will assist with application forms and interview skills for Post 16, if this has not been completed by the learners mainstream school. Each unit we deliver is awarded a number of credits. Credits add up to make an Award, Certificate or Diploma Qualification. Credits can be used by schools in their performance table. At NVQ Academy we have specialised in the delivery of Vocational Qualifications within the Childcare and Care Sectors since 1996. NVQ Academy works with Organisations to establish a system that streamlines the qualification process by using naturally occurring Performance Evidence and utilises your own in-house training for Knowledge evidence. The use of Work-Based assessment allows for the creation of an integrated rolling programme of qualifications that can occur within your own time/requirement frameworks. We are not reliant on Government funding and therefore staff do not need to complete extraneous elements required for funding only purposes - and can concentrate on any regulatory bodies (and/or your own) requirements. Our use of in-house Work-Based Assessors* also eliminates the need for outside personnel to visit your care settings. This is valued by our clients who have sensitive environments. *Training and Qualification (if necessary) of an appropriate senior member of your staff included in package price. Malearn offer accredited qualifications and short courses to local residents and childcare businesses. Our Trainers, Assessors and IQAs have a wide range of experiences working in different roles within the education, quality assurance and childcare sector. Malearn qualifications are accredited by Training Qualification UK (TQUK). All our accredited qualifications are regulated through Ofqual. We also offer flexible learning qualifications. Learners will have direct access to an allocated Assessor, who will ensure that they have a positive learning journey. Learners will benefit from regular tutorial, workplace visit and ongoing support for the full duration of the programme. Learners enrolled on our early years and childcare qualifications will receive face-to-face assessment in their work environment, as part of their programme. Our fees include registration, certificate, allocated Trainer/ Assessor and learning resources. In addition, we offer short courses at an affordable price. These short courses are not accredited. However, some are endorsed by CACHE for an additional fee, if the learner wish. These courses are excellent CPD opportunities for any persons in the childcare, business and care sector. I began my career in 1998 in my hometown of Glasgow where I achieved my Diploma in Professional Clinical Aromatherapy. I moved to the Highlands in 2001 where I continued to study various therapies. My passion for helping others through my therapies has taken me as far afield as the Wat Po Medical School in Bangkok, Thailand, where I studied and trained in Thai Massage.
