The Interacting Team is a diverse group of professionals from the world of the theatre and education who specialize in crossing from the stage to the place of learning. Interacting currently holds several teacher training events each year and a summer language school for young people. Company directors Ed Cousins and Patrick Deas have been working together since 1986 to bring their motto ‘Laugh while you learn’ onto the stage, into classrooms, on training courses, and into the curriculum. Interacting UK Ltd was founded by Ed Cousins, Patrick Deas and John Harris in November 2010 to meet the need for a UK identity to offer English Language courses and UK-based courses to European clients.

We run Coding & Digital + Lego Robotics clubs for children at Primary and Nursery schools across London. We visit more than 40 schools with over 2000 children attending every week! We also provide in-curriculum lessons for many Independent & Prep schools. Our lessons equip children with the confidence and skills needed to understand, make and create technology! At Technokids computer clubs children learn how to make their ideas come to life! We bring Laptops, iPads, Programmable Robots and Lego Education kits into schools during and after the school day. We use them to teach a variety of modules designed to support the Computing curriculum for Key stage 1 & 2 and the Early Years. Our aim is to develop Digital literacy, Creative Computing and Coding skills in a fun, social context. We believe that for children to genuinely develop in computing they need to use a wide range of programs, devices and platforms.

I have been awarded a distinction in a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and in doing so have carried out research relating to curriculum and social justice.
