Plants and Environment is a multi-disciplinary, peer-reviewed, international journal of Plant and Environmental Research Institute (PERI), India. All papers are subjected to peer review by the subject-specific reviewers with an expert editor using the blind peer review system. The journal publishes quarterly (March, June, September and December) and the accepted manuscripts are published online at the end of the month as per the open access publication policy. The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, scientific notes, opinions and short communication. The purpose of the journal is to publish original research work that contributes significant knowledge in the plant science, environmental science, agricultural science and sustainability. Author can submit their articles online after creating his/her User Account. All manuscripts (those which are not previously published and are not under consideration for publication by any journal) are subjected to rapid peer review process and those of high quality will be given priority for publication. Considered manuscript will be allotted a unique number which will be mailed to the corresponding author within one week or earlier. Your views and comments will be highly acclaimed for the further improvement of the journal.

Hi I'm Lisa and I live in the middle of the Test Valley in Hampshire, with my husband, two children, my dog Inca and cat Ebury. After having my son George in 2015 and moving from a city to a village, I decided to put my career in the corporate world on hold and spend time at home being a mummy. This life style change enabled me to explore my creative side. I loved living in a village and joined one of the local village WI groups and their craft club. I also took a number of workshops including blind making and cake decorating. However my love of jewellery, magpie tendencies and previous experience with bead work, soon lead me to the magic of Silver Clay. Once I found Silver Clay I was hooked! My ability and design ideas soon had my teacher suggesting I start a small business. This is how Country Designs by Lisa was born in 2017. All my work is inspired by the country side and nature around me. I love nothing more than going foraging on a dog walk or when out and about with my children and often come back with pockets filled with more items collected on walks than my children! . I love to learn and am continuing to update my skills and over the last few years I have added traditional silversmith techniques to my work. I have also passed my Level 1 and Level 2 Art Clay certificates and i'm currently working towards my Level 3. Gaining Level 1 & 2 enables me to teach under the Art Clay banner, this was very important for me to pass before I started to teach as it gives me the knowledge and skills to teach my students correctly. Most of my range, except some smaller items, are fully hallmarked by the London Assay Office. This is a 700 year old tradition that gives buyers the assurance they are buying a quality item which has been fully tested by the Assay Office. Carole Smollan enjoys teaching, particularly beginners and children, “I encourage them to access their creative processes.” I find this fascinating and inspiring and with children I believe it sets them up for a lifelong advantage. Smollan began exhibiting her art work from the age of 17. As a lace and lingerie designer she became head of a public company, won a prize at the Cologne Fair and was elected “Young Business Woman of the Year. Subsequently she ran her ceramic studio for 20 years making large murals for public buildings – the proudest one being in the foyer of the Constitutional Court in Johannesburg. Creating ceramics for the blind in Gardens, Cape Town was an awe inspiring experience. For many years she did the critique for a distance learning Art Course. In 1996 she emigrated to England without her kilns and began to develop her textile work. Her love of cloth began in her grandfather’s tailoring room. Smollan specializes in Synagogue Art. She has been commissioned to produce artwork for synagogues all over the world, exhibited on many one-man shows and museums all over the world, recently with a show of 150 pieces at the Yeshiva University Museum in New York.

In 2004, Steve McGill’s son Matthew was studying at Condover Hall School in Shrewsbury, which was run by the Royal National Institute for the Blind. When the RNIB announced the school was under threat of closure, Steve stepped in. He was on the board of governors at the time and put in a bid to lease the site for an initial ten years. Though we started with just our educational centre and three residential schemes, we now have 12 residential schemes, Short Breaks at our Greenfields scheme and an Opportunities Programme which enables our learners to fulfil their greatest aspirations. We believe our success is due to putting our learners first, always aiming for excellence and remaining focused on meeting individual needs. This ethos is reflected in our business structure. We’re a charity exempt from registration under the Cooperative and Community Benefit Societies Act, so we’re not about making money for shareholders. We put everything back into the people we support. Sadly, our founder Steve passed away in 2014. If you choose to take driving lessons with me at Ignition, then I will be your driving instructor. I am a highly experienced, fully qualified, approved DVSA driving instructor in Nottingham. I was trained as an instructor in 2004 by the largest national driving school in the UK. I am proud to say that I have taught the essential skills of driving to hundreds of people over the years, giving me extensive experience in the field, as well as a story or two to tell. I have coached many people from all walks of life. One of the things I enjoyed most was giving blind people the chance to have a go at driving, whilst on a charity day for the guide dogs charity. My driving career started when I was 8 years old, racing go-karts. I have always had a passion for cars and driving, and I still enjoy getting down to the local go-kart track. I also like to push my driving skills to the limit wherever I can and have many experiences behind the wheel, ranging from driving off road, through rivers and deep mud, rally driving, skid control, drifting and even stunt driving on 2 wheels! I also have a Caterham Seven that I enjoy driving on the road and on track days. Driving on a race track helps me to keep improving my driving skills and it’s great fun! I have driven on some of the top UK race circuits such as Silverstone and Donington. My other love is music. I used to be a House music DJ for many years and have played in numerous venues. I love going to Ibiza and music festivals such as Glastonbury.
