The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation for young people interested in ponies and riding. Founded in England in 1929, and granted independent charitable status on 1st January 1997, there are around 330 Branches and 400 Centres in the UK alone. The Pony Club has been the starting point for a large majority of equestrian team members and medal winners. The Pony Club is represented in no less than 27 countries with a worldwide membership exceeding 110,000 making it the largest association of young riders in the world. Objectives The objectives of The Pony Club are: to encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding to give instruction in riding and horsemastership and to educate Members to look after and to take proper care of their animal to promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty to create strength of character and self-discipline Membership Membership is open at any young person under the age of 25. Structure The Pony Club Office is based at Lowlands Equestrian Centre, Warwickshire from where The Pony Club is managed by a permanent staff responsible to The Board of Trustees and the Management Committee. Incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee Registered Company Number: 3072475 Registered Charity Number: 1050146 Areas The Pony Club is split into 19 Areas, with a number of Branches and Centres in each, across the country. Each Area has an Area Representative who will represent their Branches and Centres at Area Representatives meetings. Branches Each Branch covers a geographical area and is organised using the purposes and the rules of The Pony Club. Every Branch is administered by a voluntary District Commissioner helped by a Committee made up of voluntary members. Pony Club Branch Membership is open to anyone under 25 years of age. Members should have access to a horse or pony, by ownership or loan, and have the means to transport the horse or pony to and from rallies and events. Centres In 1998, the Centre Membership scheme was launched for those, without their own pony who ride at riding schools, to become Members and take part in all that The Pony Club has to offer. There are currently around 400 Pony Club Centres spread across the UK. Activities at the Centre are run by the Proprietor and their Coaches. New Pony Club Centre Membership is open to anyone under 25 years of age who does not own a pony. Members pay an annual subscription and receive instruction at a Pony Club linked Centre, this subscription constitutes Membership of the Club and includes third party insurance. Since January 2016, Centre Plus Membership is also available for young riders with their own pony who ride at a Pony Club Linked Centre.

You can participate in Biodanza at any age throughout your life. We are certified by the IBF, International Biocentric Foundation, the worldwide governing body which is, at present in more than 36 countries and we abide by the code of conduct of the association of Biodanza teachers – http://www.biodanzaassociation.uk, the representative body of teachers here in the UK. The Rhythm of the School There is an organic rhythm to the school which is created by the beautiful music we use for the vivencias. To have four vivencias during each weekend is to dive deeply into yourself, with space to explore through movement and dance. You are enabled to deeply embody Biodanza within the safe environment of the school, discovering friendships and life affirming connections with the others in your group, During each weekend of the 3 years’ training time is given to the presentation of the theoretical bases of Biodanza, each of the first 20 weekends relate to the syllabus followed by all registered Biodanza schools. The theory sits alongside the vital experiential learning which comes from the vivencias. The last 8 modules focus on the practical training, giving those students who wish to become facilitators the tools to hold classes with confidence and who the Directors consider to be ready. The Saturdays and Sundays of the School usually take place over the second weekend of each month. Combined with your commitment to a regular weekly group the school weekends will amplify your experience. What you can expect Our training programme is an exploration of the poetry of movement, dance, expression and communication. Since graduating from her undergraduate degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Bethany has spent 10 years performing professionally on stages throughout the UK and Europe. Bethany also studied at the Royal Academy of Music for her Masters alongside being accredited a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music in Singing Teaching. Whilst a student at the Guildhall, Bethany performed in various concerts at prestigious venues such as the Barbican, Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall and began recording as a soloist and ensemble member with Delphian Records.. Since graduating from her Masters, Bethany has performed professionally with companies such as Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Scottish Opera, D'oyly Carte, Norwegian National Opera, Iford Arts, English National Opera Works, Grange Park Opera, Opera Holland Park and Wexford Festival Opera. Bethany has spent most of her career singing classical repertoire, opera and crossover musical theatre. She has been lucky enough to have travelled to New York, Norway, Italy, Dubai, Austria, Prague, Germany and France with her performing and coaching work. Bethany has also extensively toured the UK in national touring productions. Bethany has a portfolio career and when she is not performing onstage, she records sung voiceovers, teaches voice and holds a vocal massage practice. Bethany recently recorded vocals for the national TV advert for Metcalfe's Popcorn, you may also have spotted her singing on BBC, ITV and Channel 4 TV shows such as Jimmy Carr's 8/10 Cats does Countdown and ITV's This Morning. Her singing has been aired and recorded on BBC Radio 2, RTE Lyric FM and Classical FM. Releases on Opus Arte (DVD). Teaching & Vocal Massage Bethany is a qualified laryngeal release practitioner and is qualified in Estill Figure Proficiency. Bethany is experienced in Bel Canto, SOVT and Accent Method Techniques and is always expanding her knowledge on contrasting vocal techniques and styles. She is a fully insured member of Musicians Union. Bethany is based in Olney, Milton Keynes, UK and is a singing tutor at Emil Dale Academy. Bethany holds a small in person private practice at Olney Music School alongside teaching online. Since the covid pandemic Bethany has been able to reach new clients through her informative social media reels on vocal massage and vocal technique. She has been able to teach students online across the world, recently allowing her to hold a pop up coaching and vocal massage practice in France. Bethany has a true passion for teaching healthy vocal technique and guiding her clients towards towards their own musical goals. Bethany has had students go onto train professionally at drama schools, music conservatoires, Musical Theatre youth training programs, National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and to compete in Britain's Got Talent and The Voice Kids.

Introduction from the Headteacher Site and Facilities The school is situated close to the edge of the town with views over the surrounding countryside. Subject departments have well-equipped suites of teaching rooms, all with interactive touch screens and we have seven ICT suites and over three hundred computers so that computer-based facilities are always available. Our sport and leisure complex provides excellent indoor facilities together with a large, floodlit Astroturf pitch. In 2009 we opened our Student Services Centre, the first of its kind to be established in Herefordshire. The Centre sets a new standard for inclusive and supportive secondary education, bringing together all essential pastoral and academic support services under one roof. Sixth Form Our Sixth Form Centre is housed in a purpose-built, separate suite of teaching rooms, an ICT network, study room, common room and offices. We have an open entry policy with courses to suit students of all abilities and aptitudes. Numbers each year average around one hundred and twenty students and this means that class sizes can be kept relatively small. Senior Leadership Team Our Senior Leadership Team includes the Headteacher, the Deputy Headteacher, four Assistant Headteacher and the School Business Manager. Successive OFSTED reports have praised the quality of leadership and management at JMHS. The Staff Staff work well as a team and are very supportive of each other. This begins with the success of the amazing team at Spring Common Academy and encouragement from others within our community to increase our system leadership role and spread the reach of high quality special education provision and training. In 2014 Spring Common School developed as a Teaching School status with a National Leader in Education and in 2015 designated a national support school status. In January 2016 Spring Common School became Spring Common Academy and successfully became a Multi Academy Trust called Spring Common Academy Trust with intent to grow as a successful organisation. In June 2016 Spring Common Academy trust was selected from a national field to develop the special school project at the new Community in Cambridgeshire at Alconbury Weald. This project called Alconbury Weald education campus moved to milestone 3 which is detailed design in partnership with Cambridgeshire Local Authority, Atkins global and Morgan Sindall Construction in April 2021. It is the intention of our trustees that this new special school be named as Prestley Wood Academy. This new special school will be mixed age 3 to 19 for 150 pupils. In November 2018 Spring Common Academy was judged outstanding overall Ofsted report date 18 December 2018, building on the hard work of the staff team and trustees. During 2020 – 2021 a significant Capital build project was undertaken to improve hygiene and disability access to the building in partnership with Cambridgeshire Local Authority, Oxbury chartered surveyors and Jeakins Weir. Following a period of transition from September 2020 in January 2021 Dr Kim Taylor OBE became the full time Executive Head/ CEO for the development of the Trust and Julia McIntosh appointed as Head of School at Spring Common Academy by trustees. In April 2021 the members and trustees agree to change the name of the Trust to Horizons Education Trust with the prospect of more special schools joining the trust. In May 2021 the former TBAP Unity Academy transferred into the trust as Riverside Meadows Academy with two sites at St Neots and Wisbech as an SEMH special school. This school was judged good and report date was 3 July 2019. Between May to June 2021 emergency works identified prior to academy transfer completed on the Algores Way site at Wisbech to support the safety of staff and pupils. Significant ICT infrastructure installed on both sites to enable staff and pupils to access wireless using Eastnet supported by ICT Services with new email domains. In May 2021 The Fenland Education Campus which includes a new SEMH special school for Wisbech moved to Milestone 3 of detailed design with Cambridgeshire Local Authority Atkins Global and Kier. The site identified in Wisbech will be for 60 placement SEMH special school.

Sounds Together is a complete, systematic, synthetic phonics programme for use in Reception and KS1. The Programme is the 'step-up' from 'Letters and Sounds'. It provides a fresh, thorough and systematic approach to teaching and learning phonics that builds on previous professional experience and understanding, without requiring teachers to 'unlearn' the positive principles and methods of 'Letters and Sounds'. Sounds Together has its roots in 'Letters and Sounds', but has been extensively developed and creatively elaborated in the light of all the feedback and learning from the thousands of schools that used 'Letters and Sounds' in the national 'Communication, Language and Literacy Development Programme' (CLLD). Sounds Together is the only fully DFE approved phonics programme to draw on this knowledge base. Sounds Together, with its strength of structure, guidance and support, makes phonics teaching and learning consistent, engaging and effective from its beginning in YR, right through to KS1. Some key features Sounds Together sets out the complete sequence of all the phonic knowledge and skills that need to be taught to meet the requirements of the new National Curriculum. It provides strong classroom support for teachers because it includes fully detailed planning for each session of the Programme in Reception and KS1. The planning has been carefully designed to ensure that previous learning is progressive and cumulative and is repeatedly revisited and reinforced. The planning is completely integrated with a full suite of on-screen resources for the interactive whiteboard (Smart Boards only). It's easy to use because the planning fully describes each step of the teaching sequence for each day's phonics session. It's engaging for children because the teaching resources for each session include vivid interactive whiteboard materials that will capture children's attention and keep it focused on what they need to learn. It minimises the amount of time needed to prepare for each phonics session, because all the IWB materials needed are immediately ready for use for every single daily phonics session. The Programme includes an electronic library of decodable captions, sentences and other short texts that can be printed out as handy-sized reading cards. The Programme includes the materials children need to practise and apply their phonic knowledge and skills. There is also a wealth of extra IWB resources that can be used for additional practice, including materials for individual or group work. All the Sounds Together materials can be used with a complete class or smaller groups. The Programme is provided on disc, with an individual school licence that allows the school to make unlimited lifetime use of the materials, provided only that none of those materials are not shared, copied or passed on to a third party.

Yoga and meditation makes me feel strong and in tune with my spirit. For thousands of years mankind has praised and celebrated our spirit. But modern society seems to have cut our spirit connection and the material realm has taken over. “Yoga is a very practical and effective way to rediscover and understand ourselves, and strengthen our bodies. I want to share this with my students. It’s important to have a place where we actually have the time to learn about ourselves, have a good stretch and everyone leaves the mat ready to tackle anything with a clear, calm mind!” Chet is a dedicated hatha, and vinyassa flow yoga teacher. She did her teacher training in Goa, India, with Mohinder Prassad of Mahi Power Yoga. She has a worldwide-accredited yoga teacher training qualification and is a member of the Yoga Alliance (the largest international community of yoga teachers, schools and advocates). Her journey started studying meditation and yoga at the age of 18. As many people know, yoga originated in India. A spiritual experience led her to Osho’s ashram in Pune, India, at the age of 21 where she studied more yoga and dynamic meditation. She has since spent many years training in Shaolin Tiger Crane Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Chi Gung with the Nam Yang Pugilistic Association. She has taught both adults and school children, performed in South East Asia and at the Chinese New Celebration in Trafalgar Square, London. Some of the meditation teachings in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali were later used in martial arts. Kung Fu was derived from yoga and Chet was lucky enough to find a genuine, traditional kung fu art. Her amazing teachers, Master Iain Armstrong, and Grand Master Tan Son Tin, took her to British national championship in four years where she won a Gold medal for her kung fu routines. In recent years, she has concentrated on yoga, studying hatha, vinyasa, yin, kundalini and aerial yoga. She has always been interested in Asian arts and doing things that seem impossible. As well as this, she has enjoyed a varied career, including a media career for over 15 years in PR, TV, and radio. Chet understands working under pressure both in, and out of, the office, and the importance of having an exercise routine that actually fits around your life and career. Yoga is perfect for this. You don't need a partner and you can train whenever you can. Chet’s mission is to help you reach your most supple and healthy as this ultimately leads to happiness. As well as improving fitness, you will learn about the history and philosophy of the ancient art of yoga, and develop practical ways to deal with the stresses of daily life
