In my own life I have had to face many challenges, find my own strength and rely on my inner resources. This is why I became a counsellor, I qualified in 1998 and later achieved my registered/accredited status with British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Personal counselling helped me accept myself and gain a better understanding. It has also made me much more resilient in dealing with whatever issues life threw at me. Now, I help others to find their own strength and sense of self through counselling and more recently, poetry therapy. We are all unique and follow our own paths towards change. Together, we can explore the sensitive issues which you would prefer to put to the back of your mind, but which keeping nagging at you. I have been on this journey myself, and for over twenty years I have worked in various capacities with people from all walks of life and have seen great results. I am one of a handful of Certified Poetry Therapists in the U.K, who have completed their training with the International Federation for Biblio/Poetry Therapy in U.S.A.I trained under the mentor ship and supervision of Victoria Field. Over recent months, much thought has been given to our key educational priorities, as we seek to enhance every aspect of our provision. For such depth of ambition there is also a need to ensure that we have the appropriate infrastructure to support our educational vision. Consequently, we have commissioned a detailed analysis of current facilities against future requirements. Although new buildings will be introduced where appropriate, the aim is to redevelop existing spaces where possible and to minimise new construction. This approach significantly reduces disruption on the site and allows for projects to remain cost-effective and environmentally sustainable. Having an infrastructure plan to support our educational vision ensures that we avoid piecemeal developments over the coming years, which could otherwise result in a poorly considered future site. It also allows us to prioritise key developments based on cost, condition and need. With the repurposing of some existing spaces certain projects will need to be prioritised to allow space for subsequent developments to take place. The rate that proposed projects are delivered depends on the future performance of the School, the wider economic climate and the required planning consents. Our highly experienced Leadership Team and Governing Board will work with ambition balanced with measure. Excitingly, this summer has already seen the full refurbishment of five Senior Block classrooms, spaces designed specifically for modern teaching and learning. Plans are also already in progress for the next phase of works. Merseyside Polonia is the most recognised Polish not for profit organisation in the Northwest of England. It was established in 2009 as a charitable organisation. The organisation is based in Liverpool but the project and events often involve communities from other boroughs on both sides of the River Mersey. In the past few years, Merseyside Polonia has built up strong links with local authorities and services, arts and community organisations as well as other institutions and founders: among them Liverpool City Council, Polish Cultural Insititute in London or BBC Children in Need. The organisation was registered on 9th of June 2009 and is governed by a Board of Trustees. Merseyside Polonia governing documents are Memorandum and Articles of Association. Main objects of the organisation are: to raise awareness of the Polish Community and culture among the local community to support community development of Polish and other communities to build community cohesion by increasing understanding between communities representing different cultural backgrounds Areas of work ARTS Polish names such as Polanski, Chopin or Lem are well known worldwide. We’re passionate about keeping the craft of ceramics alive. Studio ceramics is coming under increasing threat with its neglect in the education syllabus at primary and secondary levels, whilst further and higher education courses are quietly dropped or subsumed into other disciplines. My name is Sinem Er. I am practicing yoga since 2005 and sharing my passion since 2010. I teach Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, with a focus on Vinyasa Flow, Hatha and Restorative yoga. I am the founder of Now Yoga Limited UK and I was featured in Linda Sparrowe’s book ‘Yoga At Home – Inspiration for creating your own home practice’ published by Universe Press and Yoga Journal among many other world-renowned yoga teachers. I received my first teacher training certificate from beloved Zeynep Aksoy in 2009, and then in 2010 I met my root teacher Cyndi Lee, the first western female yoga teacher to integrate yoga and Buddhism, the founder of the legendary OM Yoga School and I am her student ever since. In 2018, I had the honor of translating her book ‘Yoga Body, Buddha Mind’into Turkish. What I learned from her radically changed my perspective and my relationship with myself, the world, and the teachings of yoga. As I began to observe myself in the light of Buddhist teachings, my practice has actually become a reminder that everything is interconnected, that everything that happens, everything we do, every word we say is planting a seed and vinyasa is a physical expression of the fact that nothing and no one can exist separately, but that everything is interconnected and interdependent. As an experienced and committed yoga teacher, I am able to assist and inspire others on their yoga journey. My style emphasizes alignment, flow, movement/breath integration and Buddhist meditation principles. My classes are dynamic and contemplative. I believe in the importance of safe and logical sequencing. I have the ability to distill complex postures and teach them as accessible building blocks for yogis of all backgrounds. In 2014, I started to lead Yoga Alliance USA Approved 200-hour Teacher Training Programs and Continuing Education Programs on yoga and meditation. For many years, I taught group classes at best yoga schools of Turkey, such as Cihangir Yoga and Nefess Yoga. Since 2014, I am teaching Yoga Alliance approved 200-hour Foundational Teacher Trainings, as well as taking part in the teaching faculty of 300-hour programs of Nefess Yoga, İzmir Yoga and Githa Satya Yoga. I am recording online classes and training programs for YogaUni since 2018. I organize yoga retreats at magical locations in Turkey. With the pandemic, I also started to offer my trainings and classes ONLINE. Sharing the teachings of yoga with you is a continuous learning and discovery process for me. Heatherwood's Equestrian Academy is available for private & small group lessons or you may join us for one of our week-long summer day camps. The Academy teaches safety around horses, horse anatomy, proper grooming, feeding and housing, equipment use and learning to "tack up" a horse. Riding covers proper seat, leg and hand position as well as learning to walk, trot and canter using correct diagonals, leads and gait. Each rider will be assessed to determine the pace at which they will advance to the next level. Heatherwood's goal is not only to teach horsemanship to our students, but to foster a bond between the rider and horse in order to develop a sense of awareness and sensitivity to the special attributes of their relationship. Every animal and guest at Heatherwood is treated with respect and kindness. Children often gain self-confidence and independence in their abilities to care for themselves and our animal friends. Private & Small group lessons - Offered in eight week sessions consisting of a 1/2 hour session each week. Small groups consist of two riders. Riders should plan extra time both before & after each lesson to help groom & tack up their horse if able to do so. Heatherwood facilities offer indoor & outdoor riding arenas for year round instruction. We also take students on our riding trails. We welcome adult & child riders of all levels, from beginners to those ready to advance to jumping. Whether you want to learn to ride for pleasure, advance to horse shows, or ride for an excellent way to exercise, Heatherwood Academy will tailor a program for your interests.
