Smarty’s After School Club has been in operation since January 2018 and is owned by Ruth Stoll and Bev Hague who have been providing nursery care to children since September 2009. Ruth has 15 years of nursery experience developing her qualifications and skills in that time. Ruth has a BA degree in Early Years Professional Practice. Ruth has a current paediatric first aid certificate, advanced safeguarding certificate, has attended the domestic violence awareness course, health & safety level 2, food hygiene level 2, promoting positive behaviour certificate, introduction to SENCO, attended the Early Language Development Programme and is about to undertake the Elklan course. Ruth is the designated safeguarding officer for all three After School Clubs. Bev has over 30 years of nursery experience. She is a qualified dance teacher I.D.T.A and is the owner of a highly successful dance studio in Ruislip. Malet Lambert has a long and proud history, dating back to 1932. Once a grammar school, it became a community comprehensive school in 1968 and it continues to be true to the word ‘comprehensive’ some 50 years later. Having taught in many schools and as a member of the senior leadership team at previous schools too, I am immensely proud to be at the forefront of the everyday running of this ambitious school. I joined Malet Lambert in 2014 as a Deputy Headteacher, before becoming Head of School in 2016 and, therefore, I now know our pupils, staff and community well. From our thorough transition process in Year 6 through to the close mentoring and support for our pupils taking public examinations in Year 11, we put the needs of individual pupils at the heart of everything we do. At Malet Lambert, we pride ourselves upon having high aspirations.
